Porte 22 is a exceptional property. Built in the 1600s, it has been sympathetically renovated throughout and has been furnished with considerable style far above what you would expect from a holiday rental. Simply everything had been thought of there. If you need something, simply search in the cupboards! The roof terrace was a bonus and added another dimension to our stay. The amazing display of swifts swooping over the rooftops and our heads in the evenings was very special. The stone staircases may not be for someone with reduced mobilty especially if you plan on using the roof terrace. The garage is a bonus and just a few minutes walk away. The bike store was very useful too. All communication was easy, friendly and helpful. Lastly, the location was perfect being in an attractive and quiet street yet minutes from shops, restaurants etc. Pezanas is a lovely town we shall visit again, for sure. The property is in an excellent position for both discovering the delights of Pezenas but also exploring the countryside and the beautiful beaches close by. The property has great charm with stone spiral staircases , beams and roof terrace which we made good use of. The quality of the apartment and all its appliances are of the highest standard and the roof terrace kitchen is equally equipped to the same standard. On arrival we met with Patty who is extremely helpful and talked us through all we needed to know about the apartment, and surrounds. There is also a comprehensive apartment guide and also some recommended places to visit and dine. We had a very pleasant meal at the L' Atelier and the Maitre d' put on a great show in describing the menu , thoroughly recommended. Not sure this can be arranged for everyone but we did ask Louise to arrange good weather for our trip and we were not disappointed , thank you. Finally, our time at Porte 22 was excellent and my wife and I would highly recommend a stay, the sad bit was leaving. Truly this is an exceptional property. Not only is it stylish but it really is a home from home. Louise has thought of everything , really everything. Beach towels and a picnic basket in the cupboard for a day by the sea, shopping baskets at the ready for breakfast croissants or a morning in the market, a superb kitchen equipped to cover every possible need - thoughtful things that made it feel like home. It is the most comfortable and well equipped holiday apartment we have ever stayed in and it is so beautifully kept and clean. The roof terrace is the icing on the cake - we loved it - leisurely breakfasts in the morning sun, drinks and nibbles in the evening and a candlelight dinner, memorable times and all so easy with its own little kitchen. Pezenas is a delightful town with so much history and Porte 22 is right in the middle of it all. Lots of great restaurants and things to see all within a few minutes walk. I cannot recommend this lovely apartment highly enough. Our thanks to Patty who gave us a lovely warm welcome and of course huge thanks to you Louise for letting us stay in beautiful Porte 22.

Porte 22 is a fantastic apartment and probably the most generously equiped that we have stayed in. It is as it’s described. Spotlessly clean, very good bed, gourmet kitchen, and a terrific sun deck-with another kitchen off to the side. Louise couldn’t be more helpful; prompt responses to all our communications. The apartment is a stones throw from the main street, yet very quiet at night. In fact it’s quiet pretty much all the time. Pezenas is a historically rich village with great walks in the old town and supplied with enough cafes and shops to satisfy any tourist. We had a memorable time.

This home has been by far the best rental we have ever done and we have stayed in many over the past 12 years. Everything was first-class and well thought out. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was to die for, and the outdoor deck was so lovely to come home to each evening and share a glass of wine. There is a garage for your car, you are within walking distance of everything in lovely Pezenas, the home was immaculate and owner and Patti were so helpful. They even greeted us with a bottle of wine and local goodies such as soap and candies, What more can I say? Book it now. You will not be sorry. We stayed here at potre22 4/11th August 2018. We'd never visited France before now, but we were attending the wedding of my niece who was getting married in Pezenas. This house has everything you could imagine for a wonderful stay. Beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and has the most stunning roof terrace for a spot of sunbathing. The owner Louise was extremely helpful right from the start, bending over backwards to help in any way she could. Her friend Patty helped us out which we very much appreciated too. So if you find yourself looking for somewhere to stay in Pezenas I would highly recommend that you book this house, you won't be disappointed!

The apartment in Pezenas is an absolute delight. It is spacious, well appointed and immaculately clean. The roof terrace was a special treat and we had breakfast up there every morning. It could not be better placed for access to the town and having secure parking was a real bonus. The air conditioning was especially welcome in the exceptional heat. I'm hesitating - should I let everyone in on this secret? The amazing rooftop deck is a wonderful place to end a langourous summer day with a glass of wine and the chimney swifts careening overhead. Add the gourmet kitchen, the fabulous location (steps from the Friday night wine tasting and Saturday Market in Pezenas), the maps and brochures for lovely outings in the Languedoc . . . Ok, I will let you in on this perfect perch, as long as you promise to enjoy it as much as we did! After a long flight from the States, it was truly heaven to arrive at Porte 22. Louise has created a beautiful, calm, and comfortable space for her guests. Within an hour of arrival, we had parked our valises and were enjoying our first sip of wine (rosé of course) on the terrace at the top of the house (complete with wine glasses and fridge to keep your rosé cool), soaking up the Languedoc sun. We felt so lucky to share Louise's slice of paradise in Pézenas! Louise has simply thought of everything that you could ever need while staying at her place. Beach towels? Check. Picnic basket? Check. Bikes for riding the back roads through the rows of grapes in the nearby countryside? Check! We're huge fans and we'll be back.. . again and again!

Pezenas is lovely and Porte 22 was perfect. The location could not have been better. The accommodation was beautiful, spotlessly clean, everything you could have hoped for. Absolutely loved it 😍�

Porte 22 is a lovely apartment right in the old city of Pezenas. We stayed there for 4 weeks and found it to be very comfortable. It is fully furnished to a high standard including the kitchen which is the place most overlooked by vacation rental owners. We love to cook and Louise had stocked the kitchen thoroughly. The bed was extremely comfortable and the shower was excellent with plenty of hot water. The welcome basket was lovely. The correspondence with Louise before and during stay was always timely and helpful. Patty, who had oversight of the apartment during our stay, was available to welcome us and to answer our questions. The location is excellent for traveling to other areas. We took day trips to Spain as well as Les Baux-du-Provence to see the Carrieres Lumieres (a splendid light show), the Camargue region to see the salt flats and pink flamingoes. We also enjoyed Beizers (a fabulous meal at Oysters), Narbonne (a fun meal at Les Halles), Marseillan, a beautiful seaport and a great tour of Noilly Prat Distillery, Collioure (a postcard village on the coast) and several wonderful abbeys in the area. We loved having leisurely days in Pezenas to spend time in the great street market on Saturday and to eat at the local restaurants and buy gifts for the local artists. There's a great deal of history in Pezenas including Porte 222 which dates back to 1662. We highly recommend Porte 22

We have stayed in or near Pezenas on many occasions and without any question Porte 22 is just the best. The location is perfect being only a couple of minutes stroll from all amenities. We were somewhat stressed when we arrived but after the warm friendly greeting from Patty we quickly realised what a good choice we had made in choosing Porte 22. Louise has done a superb job in renovating this stone house. It retains all of it's character and feels like a home. Everything is high quality and if there is anything you need but can't find, just look again, it will be there! The stairs to the roof terrace were a challenge for my husband (he has a damaged ankle) but it was well worth the effort. There is a small second kitchen on the roof terrace, which is well supplied so it is only necessary to carry up any drinks or food you require. We will certainly stay here again.

Porte22 is a wonderful place to experience the south of France. The amenities are excellent, the upstairs terrace was perfect and the bedroom was comfortable and very quite. Having a private parking stall was a huge benefit during the busy summer months in Pezenas. The local shops and restaurants are great and have friendly staff. This is my third visit to Pezenas so you can tell I love it there! We especially loved being upstairs, outside on the beautiful terrace - enjoying our rose wine and meals we prepared in a completely outfitted kitchen. The location is superb - right in the heart of town and a minute's walk from the old town. You couldn't ask for anything better!

I always wanted a vacation in France. Not Paris, not Provence, just plain France. This was it. A fresh baguette at 8 am, un petit cafe at 5 pm, with a delightful town and countryside to explore in between. The apartment, of course, was the thing that made it all work. It had everything that a person could either need or want to make it a true second home. Louise, thanks for making this the vacation I always dreamed of.

Porte 22 was the perfect place to spend a week in Pezenas! Our host Louise has thought of everything to make a stay so very memorable - from the welcome basket that includes local treats and tourist information, to the lovely interiors that combine the charm of historic France with modern conveniences of today, such as a chef's kitchen, TV/wifi, and secure parking. This charming apartment has everything you could need and the owner has definitely designed it to be comfortable. The location is great--close to restaurants and shops as well as the Saturday market. After we figured out the TV, we were able to watch some movies as well left by the owner....very comfortable beds and lovely basket of local specialties upon our arrival. Even a special delivery of pastries. Unfortunately, we did not get to use the upper patio deck because the weather was starting to get wet and colder.....but the town made up for it!

Just to let you know we had a lovely stay in your beautiful and thoughtfully appointed apartment. It was pleasantly quite clean. Loved the rooftop patio. Patty was a gracious greeter and gave helpful restaurant and touring ideas. One piece of info that I think was missing from your web site is that the toilet/loo can be accessed from both bedrooms without passing through the other. We were pleased with this privacy during our stay. So, to sum up, all was wonderful and we felt that we were your and Patty's personal guests. Wishing you much success with a well-done venture.
