The room was spacious and it had an amazing view. Everything was cleaned and well equipped. The area with the beds near the pool were good to have a more quiet space to relax. The food in the Snack Bar was really good, also in the buffet. Entertainment at night was very pleasant with Live Music, Nando Diaz was the person playing and singing, definitely a plus in our stay. Finally, a note to the staff that was always friendly and polite with us.

For a 4-star hotel, I was expecting to have more to offer without the need to pay extra. Everything SPA related was to be paid extra, parking and drinks during meals were also paid. Despite that, I have to say that the hotel should have a dedicated part of the staff to be in control of common areas such as the pool. I completely understand that families are going on vacation with kids and that naturally kids are louder and they just to have fun, however, when you have a bunch of kids (I believe part of football team that stayed at the hotel) running around from pool to pool and diving without any control, can be dangerous. Not only dangerous, but it bothers the other guests. I don't think diving should be allowed in the pool, specially when people are on the sun beds near it. In the buffet, most of these kids were grabbing the food with their hands instead of the utensils provided by the hotel. This is not hygienic at all and no one said anything about it.

We loved the location, the pool area, spa and how clean the hotel was and friendly the staff was. We have stayed at Alcazar since 2016 every September we come.

It’s such a shame for me to write that as stated above how many times we have stayed here but - my room was awful, we could hear the bin men outside in the early hours, the pigeons outside our window, the breakfast was freezing cold, and more importantly they closed the bar up outside on our second night stay! Boards up the lot! Bar shut down. So disappointed.

We should of been told our room did not have a balcony!!! Room should have a bottled water included in the fridge!!!!

EVERYTHING!! The pictures and description are a complete photoshop. Our balcony view was the parking, requested high floor and quiet and got low floor between 3 elevators and was told that was all that was available after booking 4 months in advance.Towels were for the entire stay! and if we wanted to change the cost was 10 euros. Absolutely no amenities in the room,the Spa was functioning with half the circuit not working and still had to pay full price,asked for hot water to have some tea for my 80 year old mom not feeling well and was charged 2euros,please call me for a complain to the heath department and an honest readjustment to the 4 stars.It barely makes it to a 2 star. A complete ripoff. please do not send any more clients there. My mothers cancer remission family trip was ruined beyond repair.

good Pool. some staff exceptionally helpful. Others not so. In general warmth and friendliness in Algarve unfortunately not the same as in other parts of Portugal.
