Looks great on paper. Contacted agents re issues with apartment, stained sofa, broken chairs, damage to kitchen plinths and mould in toilet. Some of these were addressed. However the cleaning fluids they used left the sofa smelling of urine, totally unusable. Not a relaxing holiday sadly, not worth the price we pain as ended up sitting on kitchen bar stools for 5 days!!

Access to the flat is via five short flights of stairs which may be a problem for people with health/mobility problems, particularly carrying luggage up to the flat. This is not mentioned at all on the website accommodation details? The building is currently surrounded by scaffolding which is visible through all the windows. Again, no mention of this on the website, although I appreciate this may be temporary. The underfloor heating in the lounge was not switched on when we arrived, we had some initial difficulties trying to get it operational . We contacted the DVC helpline, everyone was very helpful, unfortunately being Christmas nobody was available to physically help out . Eventually, we managed to get the heating working by going to the makers website. I think the underfloor heating could have been switched on prior to our arrival, perhaps that would have saved everyone's time. These are all observations and not meant to be critical of the general accommodation which was fine. Geoff Urch.

Stayed for 6 nights, apartment very clean and tidy but could probably use a freshen up in places. Everything we needed for a short break, location brilliant in the centre of Dartmouth so walking distance to shops, bars, restaurants etc. Car parking only a short walk away as well so no problem if travelling out for the day.

Had a fantastic week in Fairfax Place. The location is perfect, right in the centre of the town, and the flat is clean and very well-equipped (apart from a couple of extra kitchen items which would have been handy). It's a second floor flat, so there are stairs to get to it, but nothing too severe. The parking pass is very useful, as it can also be used in other towns in the area, The only minor issue was the wifi which was a bit hit and miss (even sitting next to the router we were struggling for a connection at one point), but that didn't detract from a really wonderful holiday. Would happily recommend to others and hope to stay again.

Fabulous apartment, great location and simple instructions to get in and out with minimum fuss, will definitely return.
