This was our second stay in the cabin, because it has all the conveniences and comfortable touches anyone could wish for in a mountain vacation home. From the well stocked kitchen, to the very comfy chairs in the living room, to the dining table with stunning views over the mountains, to the comfortable bed on the main level. (I can't speak to the other beds, because we didn't use them.) Communication with Michael was great, and the house was very clean. We enjoyed the wildlife that visited the property: wild turkeys, woodpeckers, squirrels, and a flock of guinea fowl (very LOUD birds!). On our previous trip we even saw two deer in the back yard. Be aware that the driveway to the property is very steep, and narrow. Our Honda CRV made it without problems, though. We enjoyed our visit very much and hope to return again some day.

Such a nice place, even better than the pics. Love the cabin theme decor, beautifully decorated. Lots of room inside and out for a family to spread out. Thanks for keeping the kitchen well-stocked and leaving condiments/spices and kitchen supplies; we enjoyed cooking and preparing multiple meals. We were lucky to have perfect weather and spent most of our time outdoors enjoying the mountain views and fire pit. We weren't expecting such nice weather; I wish we had brought cornhole/outdoor games. Great location, close to stores and the little downtown area with restaurants and bars. We explored some falls and easy hikes in the area and along the Blue Ridge Pkwy, and spent a day in Asheville and Biltmore (about 40mins drive). The driveway was intimidating our first couple times up and down, but we got used to it, and it is definitely worth it to get to those great mountain views! We highly recommend this home!

Our family had a great time at the cabin! So cute and quaint and the view is the best part. Most sightseeing we did was about a 30 min drive but we were able to explore so many really cool areas. Highly recommend!

My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We loved spending time outside on the deck or at the fire pit taking in the views. The cabin is so nice and very well kept. We did a lot of cooking, and the kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed. The grocery store is super close so that was a plus too. We also took day trips to Asheville, the Biltmore, and a couple hiking locations. The host was very accommodating and communicative. We are so grateful to have stayed at this unforgettable location!

Best house in the mountains I have ever rented in NC and I typically rent a home twice a year. Especially spacious for us as we only had 2 couples spending the long weekend together. We really didn't use the downstairs. Beds were comfortable and the home met all our needs.The views of the mountains were simply stunning. The high quality outdoor furniture made staying outside so enjoyable. We did all of our cooking except for one lunch out and went to the Countryside BBQ in Marion. Amazing country cooking. This house will NOT dissappoint!

This cabin is exactly like the pictures. The views are magnificent! It was a bit chilly but being from Michigan that is our weather in December. The owner was very easy to work with and everything was either labeled or had directions on how to use it.

It was clean and exactly as described. The personal touches for the holidays were a bonus!

The cabin was just lovely and the Christmas decorations were beautiful. We couldn’t have ask for more. We will definitely be coming back.

We go to the mountains every fall. By far, this is one of the best views. The cabin was comfortable and decorated nicely. We enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed our stay here while exploring the Blue Ridge Parkway. Home was as described with a nice view and fire pit in the evening which we enjoyed.

We had a mom/wife girls trip getaway and this was the absolute most perfect place. They had a basket of stuff for smores waiting. We loved the fire pit with a glass of wine and the sunset was gorgeous. The place was very clean and the owners were amazing throughout the process. We are wanting to make this an annual visit!!!

While attending our daughters wedding celebrations in Marion we decided to make it a getaway vacation for us as well. The home is well taken care of and had everything we needed. The owner has a great attention to detail which we appreciated each and every day we stayed. The view of the skyline and distant mountains on the back porch and yard area made the perfect backdrop for morning coffee and late afternoon/evening fires. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this cabin! The views were spectacular (even with less-than-ideal weather!) and the house had everything we needed. We found the beds to be very comfortable and the kitchen well-enough equipped for us to cook dinner there each night. This is somewhere we would definitely recommend to others!

There are not enough superlatives to adequately and fairly review this beautiful property and breathtaking view. Michael is truly a comfort genius. Further, i cannot begin to praise the retreat itself as it has more than just mere comfots it has world class, well, everything. Pssst, all beds rock but the Master bed for comfort RULES! I'm just saying. Thank you Michael !!

What a find! Amazing property with breathtaking views only minutes from town. Both the indoor and outdoor spaces and amenities were amazing. We will be back!

What a great place. The view is amazing and it was perfect for a group of friends to get together.

This house is in a great location. The downtown area of Marion is just minutes away and the house is amazing! Plenty of room for my family of 5 to spread out. The outside area is wonderful and we spent most of each evening enjoying the fire pit, eating our grilled dinner at the lighted picnic table under the gazebo, then playing games at the table. There is good yard space for kids to run back and forth. This house is super close to some amazing waterfall hikes and Cedar Creek Stables (closing in August!) is just 30 minutes away. The house itself has everything you need to be comfortable. Use of laundry facilities, extra pillows, plenty of kitchen gadgets. We enjoyed the sunrise over the amazing, gorgeous view each morning and the sunset as well. I can't express how beautiful this view is from the house and yard. We prefer to cook so the kitchen was A-plus for us! However, if you're visiting, Crabby Abby's restaurant is just 8 minutes away and was wonderful. Then you need some Artesana's ice cream in your life. I would highly recommend this place. It has a nice downstairs set up for gaming and an air hockey table, but we really spent nearly all of our time there outside in the yard! Super clean home and responsive owners made renting this place easy and a great experience!

Really enjoyed our stay at this property. Very comfortable, clean, with facinating decoration and furniture. The view is breathtaking, spent a lot of time outside enjoying the view, clean air, and nature. The sun sets right into the mountain view and the night sky gleams with lots of stars. One of the best property we have stayed. The property owners are great with communication and reply quickly. Highly recommend this property, it will not disappoint.

This property is amazing, the views are incredible and with the nearby town of Marion, NC being so close you have access to everything you need. We saw turkeys (gobbling in the morning) and deer, in addition plenty of good bird watching. The outdoor fire pit is ideal and on a rainy day you can use the indoor fireplace. The wifi was very good and onsite instructions for the TV's, etc was very helpful. The bedrooms are very comfortable with a bath included in each bedroom is fantastic. The kitchen has everything that you need. If solitude and quiet is what you are after this is the perfect place ! 5 stars from us.

We were desperately looking for a cabin that checked off a bunch of things including location, interior comfort, outside amenities, and of course, a view of the mountains! I searched over 50+ listings and for the location, Michael's cabin hit the most marks for the price! Honestly, the only thing we were missing was a hot tub but that's okay because the stay was so nice here we didn't even mind. The view was just as pretty as we would have hoped and the cabin was comfortable. Communication with Michael was great and we truly enjoyed our stay. Instructions were clear and everything seemed really clean (except for the occasional stink bug getting in which is kinda unavoidable! Lol). The grill and fireplace were great so we cooked both nights instead of eating out! Beds were very comfortable and linens kept you nice and warm. The driveway was very steep, which I can't recall if I read or not in the description, but we found it fun. Location is convenient to all of the mountain activities we had planned as well. Overall, wonderful stay and would book again!

My husband and I love staying here. It’s our second visit now. We don’t even leave! We stock the fridge, make some out door fires, grill, read, play games and watch movies. There is a cozy bed and a big soaking, jetted tub. There is a lot of wind sometimes so you might not get outside to fire pit when you want but it’s remote and quiet which we sought after.

We had a great time. Everything was as we had hoped. Michael accommodated a special request and that was very much appreciated! The views are truly spectacular. No clear places to hike but we explored some. I will say that the house did have outside cameras which I do not believe was disclosed in the listing (unless I missed it) but that was not a big deal for us. We hope to return. :)

We loved this property and plan to come back again.
