The hotel is great value for money. The room was comfy, we loved the pool and the breakfast buffet was good. The location is great - it is very central and all of our sightseeing locations were close by.

The hotel is in a very central location - but it is surrounded by huge shopping malls - this not be to everyone’s taste. The hotel decor is a little dated in places.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel, which has a fantastic central location, walkable to malls, shops, restaurants, and very close to Xienjiekou Metro on Line 2 (Red). The staff were accommodating in making my stay enjoyable. The concierge helped me order a Didi (taxi) to a place far away from the city centre on two occasions, as the location/address was not clear on the map. I have lived and worked in other cities in China and found it much easier to navigate. Some areas of Nanjing have a name but not a specific street address. I did not eat at the hotel as my booking did not include this, and the charge was RMB193 per day, which seemed expensive, although it is a 5-star establishment and may have been worth it. The room was clean, comfortable, and a good size with a view of the main shopping areas and mountains in the distance. Jinling has great facilities, including a pool, yoga room, gym, snooker room, hair salon and table tennis room. I would definitely consider staying here again and would recommend Jinling to visitors to Nanjing.

Amazing location, right in the center and right outside the metro station. This hotel is very big and busy, but the rooms are very quiet, which is really nice. The room is very comfortable and clean but the appliances are slightly old.

Location was amazing, easy to get around the city. Didn't have breakfast so no comment on that. Room was good size with a good view.

AC in the room was quite loud, toilet flushing took a bit longer to operate every time.

Breakfast is very expensive (196rmb) but it doesn’t worth it and it’s very very small. The hotel is old and dirty. The room was full os stains and the bathroom was incredibly old and smelly. The pool was nice, but we asked if we needed a swimming hat and they said no in the reception, and then, in the swimming pool they said we couldn’t use it without a swimming hat, and we had to pay for it (we could brought our own hats from home). The food wasn’t good despite the food in Nanjing is great.

Basically I got nothing to complain about. When you are in the center of the city of Nanjing, you don’t have to try to find Jinling Hotel - it finds you. It’s also a kind of landmark at Xinjiekou so no worries at all if you are new to the city and not very good at finding your way. Hotel itself is superb too - friendly and helpful staff, comfy bed with a very nice view.

I understand that a few floors have been undertaking refurbishment and noises may come up. If you are basically out in the day then I guess it won’t be that much of a big problem.
