I stayed in this home with my extended family. I wanted something to impress my in laws with. We stayed in the winter time, and figured I would get a nice house we could stay indoors in and enjoy. This home was exceptionally nice and well taken care of! I can tell that the owners really do care about this home, and that they wanted to make sure that we enjoyed our stay.

My wife and I enjoyed our 25th wedding anniversary at this home! It was gorgeous, and salvo is even prettier. We're used to staying in Duck and was surprised by how much more you get down on hatteras island! This home met all our needs and our kids loved it. Clean, in good condition, and everything worked! The realty company was excellent as well when we needed help with recommendations on things to do and places to eat!

We had a great vacation. Wish it would have been longer. The home was beautiful and the view was amazing. Can't wait to come back!

This house is as beautiful as it appears, with very comfortable spacious rooms, great open areas, plenty of porches and seating areas for small or large groups to gather for meals, games, you name it. Kitchen was VERY well stocked with plenty of dishes for our family group of 23. It's VERY important to read all info on the (separate) Surf or Sound website for the condo management company. There's a ton of info there, and they make clear that you need to provide most of the expendable supplies (things like kitchen towels, toilet paper, soap, etc.) - if you read the info provided there, you'll be well prepared! Check-in between 4-6pm (we got called by 5). House was clean and pool area worked out great. We reported several maintenance issues, none were fixed while we were there but the items out of service (an ice maker, clothes washer, pool-side bath) were all 1 of several on the property, so we never had to go without. A rep came out 3 days after I called, but he couldn't fix the issues that day - if something important fails, you might have a hard time getting prompt attention. But we honestly didn't feel at all inconvenienced, we had a great time.
