The room was clean and big. Location was perfect for us this time. There also was a bottle of water for us.

The shower could be a bit more modern and cleaner, there was a bit of mould on the showerhead. The room though looked pretty clean.

there is nothing I found that I didn’t like. the staff was friendly and helpful. the room had a lot of space. the beds were comfortable and the shower was nice and hot. after a long day this was a great place to stop at. we ordered breakfast too and it was done with care.

Clean, large apartment. Hot shower. Close to promenade and center.

Pity that the clean large apartment was totally offset by the very rude non-English speaking lady who greeted us. We felt very unwelcome, as if our staying there bothered her. I asked for jam for breakfast and she snarled back that I only had 2 mins before 9h30 and that she had told me that the day before. Finally I had upgraded to get a queen bed and instead had 2 twin beds set side-by-side. Not a biggie had she been civil. Would not go back.

Close to the river Rhine, close to town center, good parking, internet. Just very pleasant.

The hotel is a lovely family establishment, more of a guesthouse really; the host was lovely and very helpful and the room was amazing- the biggest room (triple room)we’ve stayed in Germany, with a balcony, table and chairs for at least 4 people and a minibar/fridge. Free parking behind the hotel too, very rare!!

The town of Emmerich has a lovely Rhine promenade just a few minutes walk from the hotel with a few bars, restaurants and ice cream parlours; however, this is where it ends! The town itself is not very appealing and walking around the town we felt a little on edge as we encountered quite a few ‘dubious’ characters. I think we have been spoilt by other pretty, old riverside towns- this isn’t one of those. Shame the hotel is located here really. The industrial plant at the side of the hotel doesn’t add to the charm either, but this isn’t the worse part of the town!!
