Heather and John were so welcoming and made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. The breakfasts were amazing and really set us up for the day. Very central for visiting lots of locations and a very good bus service.

gorgeous scenic place - on arrival we were all in awe including the children. i loved the space - the calming pieces in the home and the overall positive and calm energy. was great for all of us! Just beautiful and the view of the sea is not only breathtaking but calming. The best part of the trip - our hosts Heather and John. made us feel right at home and Heather makes the best breakfast. thank you

Everything! Location and view was just as you would hope, close to the beach with views of Brixham in one direction and Torquay in the other. owners live on site. Very friendly and full of local knowledge. Their breakfast covers everything and is delicious. The rooms are spacious and versatile as well as immaculate.

Heather and John were very friendly and approachable throughout the duration of the holiday. They were both very welcoming and sociable, and made us feel very comfortable during our stay. The room was lovely, very nice view of the sea and there were even toys for our 2 children to play with. It is a short walk to the beach and 10 minutes away from Paignton Town Centre.

Our stay was extremely satisfying with a lovely homely atmosphere. Breakfast was served by the very friendly face with endless options to cater for all. The location was perfect, very close to the beach and other amenities.

I can honesty say there was nothing we didn’t like apart from the fact we had to go home!😊 we will definitely be using this place again as there is plenty of space for the children to move around.

Heather was so lovely honestly went out of her way to accommodate us we took 2 small children aged 14 months and 4 years old she would talk to them and always tried to entertain them during breakfast. Breakfast was lovely so many options. We didn't like cheery tomatoes so she switched them out for tin tomatoes. Went out of her way to get the kids chocolate shreddies when she didn't have to. The rooms where lovely brillaint for all aged family brilliant if you have mixed ages of kids (adult children travelling with you) even had a visit from one of the cats in the living area we had which the kids loved. The location of the property was great we did have a car however only took us 25 mins to walk along the beach to the pier (with 2 small kids). Would definitely stay here again.

1 small issue WiFi was abit spotty in bedroom with single bed issues with streaming YouTube but absolutely fine for going on social media and Internet access.

Everything about the place. Felt like home and Heather couldn't have been kinder. Food was Organic, excellent and freshly cooked to order. Home was spotlessly clean with an eclectic mix of furnishing and ornaments. Beds were comfortable and area spacious.

The hospitality of Norwegian wood made us feel so welcome and we were able to enjoy our own space. Great breakfast that set us up for the day with plenty to choose from. Beautiful views of the sea from the rooms and the garden.

Myself and my two sons had a fantastic stay at Norwegian Wood. Heather and John were the most hospitable hosts who went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. They are two of the kindest people you could wish to meet. We are definitely looking forward to seeing them again……

We, a family of 4, spent 5 days at the Norwegian Wood. The apartment is very comfortable and exceptionally clean. The location is great with pleasant sea views. Heather and John are excellent hosts and made us feel very welcome. The breakfasts were a delight. Overall we had a very comfortable stay and have no reservations is recommending the Norwegian Wood.

We loved staying at Norwegian Wood this bank holiday weekend. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome and at home. With a short walk to the beach and the amazing views it was the perfect base point for us to set off on our adventures around the area. In the evenings we made use of the beautiful gardens and the children were happy playing on the lawn and the swing ball set. The organic breakfast each morning was delicious and filling as well. Heather and John were brilliant hosts. We would highly recommend them :)

Fantastic accommodation with a beautiful sea view. The family bedroom was spacious & it was really great that we also had exclusive use of a sitting room. Having a full size fridge, kettle & plenty of filtered water was really useful. Bathroom was very attractive too. Breakfast was amazing as it’s high quality organic food which was ideal for me. Parking is easy as it’s right outside the house on a private drive. Heather is very polite, friendly & gave us good tips on what to visit in the area.

Very little not to like but it was hard to find the house when we first arrived as it’s down a narrow lane off the main road & it was blocked temporarily by other vehicles but we were fine once we knew how to access it & had no problems with blockages for the rest of our stay.
