Room small, chairs not comfortable. Bathroom small and shower not warm enough. Couldn't get UK news on the TV, Greek channels only.

This hotel is Agia Effimia’s best kept secret! Stayed in two others in the town, and this beats them hands down by a long shot, price too. Great location, lovely staff, fast wifi, clean and comfortable. couldn’t have been happier.

The hotel is bit old and also very noisy! The elevator makes terrible noise around the whole hotel, but during the night was everything ok.

The hotel provided a lovely breakfast with a good choice of fresh fruits and local products, juices and tea or coffee. The location is ideal for reaching the harbour and cafes and restaurants and is an easy, enjoyable walk to the beaches of Agia Efimia. The owners were very helpful and accommodating, friendly and genuine.

This hotel has a quaint, old fashioned charm and is only a minutes walk from the bus stop, harbour and restaurants. Our room had both a sea view and countryside view and we enjoyed watching the world go by from the small balcony. The aircon and ceiling fan were very effective and necessary as the weather was very hot throughout our stay. Apostolos and Angelina on reception, Liana and Mena who served breakfast and the cleaners were always polite, friendly and helpful. A kettle is not provided in the room but you can request a pot of hot water and cups to make tea and coffee. There is also a small bar downstairs for buying drinks. Beach umbrellas can be borrowed. Breakfast was a cold buffet, a large spread of sweet and savoury foods that included Greek yoghurt and delicious pastries and dried fruits. Next door is a small family run taverna, perfect for dinner!

The road can be busy and noisy during the day as it's part of the one way loop around the village. However it was quieter at night. Also the breakfast room was lacking in atmosphere. Some Greek background music would improve the ambience! More electric sockets should be available in the rooms. We had only two and the fridge was running off one of them!

Staff (smiling, kind and very friendly), location, cleaniless. Good bar with excellent drink choice. The owner, Apostolos, is a great source of local info and Cefalonian culture.

The hotel was a perfect choice because of the location (close to beaches, a very good restaurant next to the building, nearby shops, playground etc.), it also has a very friendly staff, good atmosphere and a fantastic view to the sea. There were also free parasols at the reception, we could use. We got an invitation one night for dinner, then we received real local food made with expertise, it was really special, great experience.

The street of the hotel is quite noisy at night, but that didn't bother us that much, even our baby had a good night sleep every time luckily. The breakfast is served by the staff, which was a bit unusual for us, but it was a covid regulation, so of course the hotel cannot be blamed for that. The air condition was a bit noisy in our room, but the others' were fine in the other rooms of our group. We didn't use it that much because of the baby, so also was not big of a problem.

Very accommodating staff and very kind people ! For the money this was great! The bed was a little to hard for me as a side sleeper but it was definitely worth what we paid with the sea view :)

Great location, the best price for its value, friendly staff, great breakfast. Cheap prices in the bar. They would like to widen their portfolio with catering (lunch/dinner), so we were invited for a special kefalonian dinner for free!! Thank you Apostolos & the whole Team!! 🙂

Noisy cleaning in the morning.

The place is in a very good location in Kefalonia, very close to Sami where you can find Antisamos beach. In my opinion this beach is one of the best ones in Kefalonia, because it has all infrastructure to spend the entire day at the beach. The owner of the hotel is so friendly and helped us with so many things: from finding the best spots to see in Kefalonia to finding a medical centre nearby - he even drew a map showing how to find the medical centre. The hotel is very comfortable, they have air conditioning and also a fan in the room. It was very clean and organised. The breakfast included in the rate was also very good and the staff who served the food is also very friendly. The hotel provides umbrellas for you to take the beach which is very kind. The restaurant beside the hotel is amazing as well, try it and you won’t regret. I highly recommend Moustakis hotel.

The bathroom is small and it has cortines in the shower, but considering the amazing staff and location you shouldn’t worry much about that.

The moustakis hotel was fine, staff were jolly and obliging. Our room had a sea view balcony, the housekeeping was a daily event and breakfast ready and decent, covid distancing was obvious and extra staff brought in to cater for a served meal rather than a self service buffet, well we all need to be seen to be reducing the impact of COVID. The hotel was as advertised close to the harbour, boats and restaurants, parking was easy on the main road close by. Access was free all day a front door key was available for late entry if required. There's a lift too. Our room had a fridge but downstairs was a bar. Shower loo and sink all clean in our en suite.RB

There was nothing terrible about the moustakis, but equally nothing to draw you back if you visit the island again. It's location was fine, but that road has traffic including the aggregate lorries carrying stone for the sea defences. Agia Effemia is on the main north south road so all traffic will pass by. Our room was sufficient for two for a week. The fridge was handy for keeping water cold, but a kettle and coffee making facilities would have made the stay more comfortable. Within the room was one straight backed chair at a desk. We like reading and nowhere was comfortable to read even if the lighting was better. The balcony was one chair wide either side of the doorway and pleasant in the evening but no shade all day in full sun. An awning would make it more useable. The shower was effective but had a curtain that failed to keep water in and felt like clammy dead hands over the shoulders, why not screen off the whole end of the shower room? Their was a bar downstairs but it wasn't anywhere you'd want to stay n drink, I think it was a hobby bar for the owner to invite his pals. RB

Simple but nice breakfast. Lovely stuff, except for the manager.

Manager of the hotel was smoking inside the hotel in the main areas all the time. So the cigarette smoke was 24 hours in each corner of my room. The room had no soundproof. I could hear every single sound of the neighbours.
