Knowledgeable and charming host. Surrounding gardens are beautiful. Our room was very big & airy. Pool area was inviting. Gorgeous local foliage. Quiet.

Room may not have been used in a little while. It could have used a good dusting and wiping down. Not necessarily negative, but 3 minute drive out of town, so you need a car to get supplies or go to a restaurant.

Great start to the holiday as close enough to SJ airport and also my first glimpses of CR wildlife

Nothing really. Quite basic but good enough

The facility was very attractive with beautiful grounds and it was clean.

The room we stayed in was quite a ways downhill from where we parked. As I am getting older walking up and down distances is becoming a little more difficult. We decided not to take our suitcase nor cooler because of the weight combined with the walk and take only what we absolutely needed. Also, the room had no glasses as we had wanted to have a glass of wine before retiring.

Breakfast was a typical Costa Rician breakfast which my husband enjoyed. I don't tolerate rice, beans, dairy or gluten so they had very little options for me. They tied to accommodate me as best they could though which I appreciated. We really enjoyed the beautiful gardens and the view from our room.

There was no bottled water. The kitchen area for guest could be better equipped.

The property is beautiful with a nice outdoor balcony with a kitchen we used to prepare our dinner. The staff was very helpful.

Everything was great. The bed was not very comfortable. The mattress was hard and it made is get up earlier than we would have.

everything was absolutely stunning. I was accommodated with the use of the outside kitchen at “The Ranch”. cool top and refrigerator and some utensils. Beautifully situated just outside of Atenas proper with lush gardens and a relaxing pool area. I had no problem walking to town. For the more hearty, walking back from Atenas is a good workout, while I took a 1700-2000 CCR cab ride back. plenty of shops to pick up snacks and food items. La Coope was most convenient and had ATM’s.

can’t say anything that I didn’t like. Enid and the staff made certain that everyone had all one needed.

Bathroom linked overhead to other bathrooms for other guests. Nothing in Rancho to use - 1 plate, 2 knives and forks etc between all the guests. Had to drive out- could not walk to town.

Everything, from the rooms to the breakfast to the pool, is beautiful. The gardens are absolutely gorgeous, the host is especially welcoming and kept us laughing, and there are plenty of places to lounge and relax. We spent the last week going on hikes and tours all over the place, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to rest and simply enjoy the amazing countryside all around us.

The property has a truly fabulous garden and a lovely pool. Our room had a comfortable bed and a ceiling fan which was needed as there is no air conditioning, and the evening cooled down nicely so we were quite comfortable. Ernesto was welcoming and gave us good dinner recommendations. The locked gate made us feel secure and having a gate controller with the room key made it easy to come and go. The directions to the property made more sense once we found it and there is a lighted sign on the gate which confirmed we were in the right place. They do accept credit cards.

There are no hairdryers so be sure to bring your own.

Quiet -lots of birds -comfy room nice host.

Hard to find - lucky I know Spanish-no sign. Booking com is never helpful.

We sadly only stayed here one night before flying out. The garden, the pool, the birds, the breakfast and the staff were all excellent. It was a nice conclusion to our trip.

Calm place a little outside of the main roads with a b e a u t i f u l garden where you can relax and watch all kind of birds. Great host too!

I have nothing to say here. their effort to make every customer feel special is clearly evident. I will be back.

A little hard to find and not a lot of parking

The view from the room was gorgeous. The host was very friendly and knowledgeable.

Our driver had a hard time getting the van out of the steep driveway.

Well, let me start from a very warm welcome that we received at the arrival. And then a very comfortable room with everything you may need including a fridge and big terrace with a hummack and an amazing view. Then it was a cute garden with lots of flowers and birds, especially hummingbirds. And the delicious breakfest made by Enid in the garden... it was all WOW!!! And last but not least was Max, a lovely dog that was my big friend :) Thank you Enid and Ernesto!!! The place is a real Eden or paradise and I would love to come back and stay with you again :)
