Great location for older children/young adult kids. They didn’t need a buggy to get to the Marina or Cats Eye Beach. Decor is a little dated but didn’t mind this as the tiles etc were high quality. 5-6 shy visiting Wallabies on the grass area outside the unit was nice. sunrise was amazing.

Pool could be updated.

Away from the hustle and bustle, lots of room for family of 4 .

My flight is on 3pm and the property sent a driver to drop us to the airport around 10am, I asked them if I can leave my luggage for 3 more hours until 1pm and then drop me off in the airport by 1pm. and they said they don’t have any space to leave my luggage and the only option for me is to leave with my luggage at exactly 10am to the airport.As far as I know, almost all hotels / accommodation allow their guests to leave the luggage for a few more hours ….if I know this property was doing things in such way, I would never ever booked this property. also the main bathroom leaking underneath, exhaust fan on the other bathroom not working , and washing machine and ceiling light all not working….

Location was stunning & the unit offered the bare essentials

Condition of the unit is very poor Carpets & table runner were filthy Bathroom had not been properly cleaned. Aircons & dishwasher & ice dispensern on fridge not working properly, and the tv in bedroom 3. Light flickered in bedroom 3. This was reported & nobody came to fix it. Torn fly- screens on doors & paint peeling off bathroom doors Amenities seriously lacking: no body wash, shampoo, conditioner or washing powder. Mismatched cutlery, crockery & glassware & table mats. No egg cups Igniter on bbq not working No dish wrack to dry dishes (We had to wash due to broken dishwasher) No information provided about the island or direction to the app.

Fantastic location. Plenty of room. It was nice to retreat to the pool away from the crowds

A few things needed maintenance

Loved the location, the view and the pool.

It would have been more comfortable if there was airconditioning in the main living area and middle bedroom.

The location was fabulous and the accommodation was spacious.

The accommodation is tired and had maintenance issues. The air conditioner did not work for the first 24hours and the kept tripping the power for the next 24 hours. Fly screens in main bedroom are ripped. Toilet door in master bathroom does not close properly. Rubbish bin was full when we arrived. No bulb in lamp in the lounge area.

We were disappointed to learn that the facility was generally at capacity, however there appeared to be minimal activities available or planed for small kids 2-6. Hair Braiding was cancelled and the nail bar wasn't open. However all pools were open and generally not too crowded. we love Hamilton Island!

The property (Poinciana) is looking a little knocked about. The laundry was in very poor condition. However, generally things worked, were clean and the property was nicely appointed. The gas stove had issues with igniting and staying lit, 3 of 6 outlets. Nota big deal matches were provided. On suite show water pressure was v low. I suspect that this was a water saving function? The Cockies were inclined to leave their dropping on chairs and table tops, which is unappealing. There was no hose to wash things away. However, the kids loved the presence of the birds, so it is what it is!

the washing machine was not working, laundry area and washing machine not clean. the cushions are old and dirty. the bedsheets and pillow cases were not clean.

no air con in one bedroom, lounge, kitchen and dining areas. cockroaches in master bedroom constantly no glasses to drink water juice soft drink and had to buy plastic cups sponges for kitchen laundry detergent.. the stove top didn’t work properly bedroom light didn’t work tv kept losing signal

great location, and good size for family with adult children

a little tired and could do with more options for kitchen catering outdoor furniture is aged and worn, though still functional front door handle is very difficult to turn extra bedding on hand would be helpful. our teenage daughter was sleeping on the fold out sofa and we had to chase down extra linen. one sheet was delivered (admittedly staff were stretched due to Covid)

the person that picked us up was very rude and due to miscommunication because of the ferry canceling a morning service & we were on a later service, he made no effort to help us or organise transfer to the unit and told us to walk. That sort of service is unprofessional. The buggy provided went flat half way up the hill causing members of the public to help push it up the rest of the hill. There was a split cord causing the buggy not to charge which we didn’t realise till 2 days & had already hired another buggy at our own expense. So the start of our holiday was not very pleasant. The unit was great, needs more glasses etc & the stove is not working the best. Other then that, all ok.

The aircon didn’t work properly in the master bedroom. Had the guy come out as we had issues with all of the air cons which he fixed except the master. The washing machine had a strange electrical or gas smell. We had a bad smell of gas in the property which they tried to fix but couldn’t find where it was coming from. Everything was clean to ok standard but it definitely needs a good deep clean in. There was dust build up on the top of the wardrobe when I reached up for a blanket and blow up mattress a pile of dust came down with it. Behind the beds and under the beds were also very dusty. The sofa bed needs a new mattress its all just springs which is why we needed the blanket. The fold out wasn’t made and there were no sheets to make it up. All things that can easily be fixed. Hamilton Island is an amazing place, we’ve been many times and plan on many returns.

Location was perfect , so close to everything and a view that was AMAZING. Restaurants were great and staff on Hamilton Island are amazing. Lots to do and see (Helicopter ride, Jet Skis etc )

Mildew smell throughout apartment from main bedroom wardrobe. No Air-conditioning in main living area and one bedroom, was very hot. Buggy broke down and we had to hire a buggy for last days as my sister has cancer and could not walk places Dirty washing machine.

The location is great, the view is beautiful even from ground floor apartments and all rooms air conditioned which is a must going into summer.

pool area a bit understated however is easy enough to go to catseye beach to the main pool.

love the location, easy to get to marina or cats eye beach. love ground floor apartments and was so spacious. have stayed previously and just love it here.

would have been nice for all bedrooms to have air conditioning instead of 2 of the 3. also main living area not air conditioned but there are fans. however still comfortable at this time of year but I think in midst of summer might feel heat more.

Floors were dirty- kids had black feet from walking around inside barefoot. The apartment is in desperate need of updating. Musty smelling, missing floor tiles, jammed doors.

the view was amazing and location was great

for what the property is, we paid far too much, we only had 2 shower towels while staying for 5 days, the BBQ was broken and a few of the outside seats were too. unfortunately we were on the island when it was raining so. stayed in one of the days, there was no smart TV to connect our phones to watch a movie. when we were leaving the place one of the workers called us to go pick up our bags on the way to the airport because he could not get in the door ( that was okay ) but when we arrived at the villa the front door was wide open and our luggage was just sitting in the middle of the floor unattended as house keeps were cleaning but no one was in the house. that was very concerning. overall the place needs some more love, as the items in the house are out dated and can clearly see wear and tear. we were disappointed for the price we paid, but hope you tend to the issues we have mentioned for a greater experience for the next people.
