We loved the pics of the house and view and pool. And the actual property did not disappoint in any way. It was fabulous. I cannot think of anything I would offer in the way of criticism. Loved it!

We loved our stay at Ilan Ilan. The view was spectacular and the location was convenient. Having a car was definitely a plus. You could manage without one but we used it everyday to go to the beach or to dinner. The steep climb up the hill to the house would have been tough on foot. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.

1st time visiting Costa Rica and Zindis Group made our booking and planning very easy for us. The house was perfect. The views and the pool were wonderful. The property was extremely clean. The location couldn't have been better. Close to the beaches (Playa Hermosa was our favorite), close to the airport, excursions, and waterfalls WE WILL BE BACK!!!

My family really enjoyed Casa Ilan Ilan. The view from the pool is amazing and the house was very clean. Zindis helped us arrange activities in the area which was nice.

We had an amazing stay at this house in Playa Hermosa! The house has an incredible view of the ocean and is in a gated neighborhood. We did have some trouble getting hot water consistently and internet was spotty for streaming. We brought our own fire stick and was able to connect but it was very slow. We did not have any issues with cell signal or with basic internet needs that did not require video. We did see that the sheets on the trundle beds were very dirty so we changed these ourselves. In all likelihood previous guests had not used them so they may have been overlooked by the cleaning staff. The rest of the house was clean and good to go. The Zindis team was incredibly responsive and helpful whenever we needed them. We booked several tours and activities through them as well. There was some miscommunications on that front (though perhaps nothing Zindis could have done) so it may be best to book these directly through your tour provider of choice. We also used the neighborhood pool slides which the kids thought were a total blast. Locally we ate at Aquasport, Ginger, Mar Azul and had chefs come in two nights. We also got coffee and baked goods at the new Pawhouse Roasters at the entry to the community. The Pawhouse owners were on site and very helpful and coffee was great. The food universally was delicious and we were all frankly surprised at how good it was. Highly recommend setting up shop at the Aquasport beach chairs and ordering drinks and lunch. Beachfront service! We cannot wait to return to CR and would not hesitate to stay here again.

The house and pool are gorgeous and the view is even better than the pics. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets in the infinity pool. An adorable 4 foot long lizard visited us a few times--we have great video of him drinking from the pool! The beaches and restaurants were wonderful. We plan to return next year! From the time we booked this beautiful home the service was spot on. Every question was answered in a very timely manner as well as booking activities ahead of arrival and after arrival. All expectations were exceeded including the house location, cleanliness, supplies and timeliness of all booked services (and we had a lot). Ian was above and beyond accommodating with extras we added on after arrival. Trash was picked up on a timely basis and pool cleaned daily very early in the am before sunrise. We absolutely loved this property’s location to restaurants, beaches and shopping. Thank you Zindis

We had such a lovely time at Casa Ilan Ilan! Slept all 11 of our family comfortably. Immaculately clean house, well appointed kitchen, gorgeous bathrooms, comfy beds, perfect pool, ridiculous views! This was the perfect base camp for a week of adventures.

We loved our experience, Ilan Ilan became our home away from home! We did excursions, but it was nice to come "home" and relax. The view is amazing. There is also wildlife around the house. Every time we would go outside and search the wooded area next to us for the birds, iguanas and monkeys! My wife and I, our 3 teenagers, and my parents had plenty of room and bathrooms. The kitchen and grill was perfect for meals on the patio. House: Clean, charming, and had everything everyone needed! We rented a van to hold 7, and to help get up the hill we would get up speed at the bottom, at airport the rental company lost our reservation we called Zindis & they delivered van! We found the sustainable touches a part of the culture, as the owner and Costa Ricans take pride in keeping their beautiful country natural. Some of the lights and fans are on timers, and the air conditioners have remotes to make them easy to turn off and on, and we were careful to conserve energy. They are big on conserving water, so the pressure isn't as high as in USA, but we were mindful to spread out our showers, again being mindful is part of the culture so we were happy to oblige The tap water is clean and drinkable. We have a couple sensitive stomachs, so I brought a Berkey water purifier to purify our drinking water. Again we watched our footprint when visiting this beautiful country, so I tried not to get plastic bottles of water, instead kept a pitcher of purified water in the fridge We kept a box of recyclables and would take them down to the Luperon to recycle. There are plenty of beach towels. The washer and dryer works well The whirlpool is not heated to conserve energy, but with the hot weather you don't need it Tourist stuff: Hermosa was great little town. The Luperon grocery store and souvenir shop by Hermosa Heights has everything you need. Roberto's was our favorite restaurant for dinner with the sunset, and they used reusable straws! Aqua sport was great lunch spot. Ginger fine dining for dinner. Bocelli's great Italian. The Hermosa Heights pool has a swim up bar and great bar food, and we loved the pool and slides! We did a hike in Rincon De la Vieja park, started at the Las Pailas ranger station (toll road, 700 colons per person), took La Cangreja waterfall trail through rainforest and waterfall was amazing, saw white faced monkeys. We went to Diamante, awesome ziplining and seeing animals. Sunset sail and snorkel through Tico Tours amazing. Pura Vida!

Casa Ilan Ilan is better than pictured. The house was perfectly clean and well appointed in every way (down to tissue boxes and pump hand soaps in bathrooms). Air conditioners worked well. Didn't see any critters inside the house (of great importance to a few of our traveling party). The pool is awesome, especially if you have little ones as the shallow entry area is relatively big. Playa Hermosa was an excellent location if you want a bit more of the off the beaten path location. Slightly bigger Playa Coco area with its grocery store, restaurants, touristy shops, etc. is a curvy 15 minutes down the road. We stayed during the 3 week "Little Summer" in July and had NO rain. Absolutely loved Costa Rica and will definitely be back.

Casa Ilan Ilan was our Home for a week family vacation in Costa Rica. Three family groups left Pittsburgh, Washington DC, and Austin for relaxing in the sun and experiencing a new location. This Home and location were perfect for us. First the home: -Fantastic View -Spacious bedrooms and baths -Fully stocked kitchen with plenty of utensils and service ware -Pool - great for all ages and swim abilities -CLEAN - CLEAN - CLEAN —— immaculate inside and out Activity Recommendations: -Fishing - Tio Albany on Playa Hermosa beach took several of us out for sport fishing and sightseeing. Fantastic- he even arranged for our catch to be prepared for dinner on the beach in the evening -Shopping - Hidden Garden Art Gallery - near the airport - 6-7 rooms works by Costa Rican artists and others living locally -Zipline and Animals - Diamonte Eco Adventure Park

Loved Casa Ilan Ilan. My group of 8 had a tremendous experience with this house and the staff here in Playa Hermosa. The views are just out of this world from the house, the location is convenient to some great restaurants, beaches, and shops. All activities provided through Tico Tours were amazing, from zip lining to whitewater rafting, catamaran, canopy tours, and ATVs. This was a perfect vacation and this was a perfect house. Couldn't be happier with our decision to stay at Casa Ilan Ilan. Zindis Group was absolutely fabulous to work with from booking to departure. Thank you!!

Casa Ilan Ilan is a fantastic property and our group of 11 had a wonderful stay. The house is equipped with everything you need to have a stress free vacation and the layout is extemely accomodating for a large party. The view from the pool was beautiful and our group ate most meals out on the patio. We will definately be back!

My stay at Casa Ilan Ilan was nothing short of magical. From the very moment I walked in, I felt right at home. The tasteful decor coupled with the magical views were unparalleled. The rooms were so spacious and all had a private bathroom. Tons of closet space too! When we arrived there were lovely towel/flower presentations on the beds - a very nice and welcoming touch. The house is air tight, so no need to worry about little critters getting inside. Each room has a beautiful view of the spacious outdoor patio - which has a perfect view of the beach. Everyday we watched the sunset from the deck - truly magical. There is an outdoor dining area complete with a grill. The pool is great and we spent so much time just relaxing and taking in the beautiful views. The staff at Hermosa Heights is great and are very helpful. Bonus that there is a movie theater and great little restaurant right at the bottom of the hill. There is also a small supermarket just down the road with all the necessities. My time at Casa Ilan Ilan was truly unforgettable and I can't wait to come back again!!!

We stayed in Casa Ilan Ilan for spring break this year - 4 adults, my 28 year old niece and our two girls, ages 11 and 13. The house was beautiful. Spacious bedrooms, large, very well-appointed bathrooms for every bedroom, well-stocked kitchen and abundant outdoor space. The pool was awesome. I think my 11 year old spent more time in the pool than in her bed that week, but we were all in the pool every day. Note: the jacuzzi is not heated, but you don't need it to be. The views are stunning, even in the dry season. We checked out a bunch of houses in our neighborhood - ours had the largest outdoor area and the best pool, by far! This house is also perfectly located. Playa Hermosa is a sleepy little town, but very close to Playa Coco with its more lively (and touristy) action. We all agreed that we'd much rather be in Hermosa as a home base. The house is located within walking distance of the beach, but it is a VERY steep hill on the way up. For touring we used Mainor Lama at Tours Your Way. He was awesome! We highly recommend Casa Ilan Ilan and plan to go back.

Casa Ilan Ilan is a beautiful home located in Hermosa Heights. It is in a nice gated neighborhood with a security guard on duty. You can't beat the view! It was so amazing to wake up to the awesome pool and beautiful ocean! The house was very clean and well stocked with plenty of towels and kitchen appliances and utensils. The staff was very friendly. I definitely recommend having Rocio cook dinner for you! Her food was the BEST we had while staying in Costa Rica! You can see her on TripAdvisor and Facebook (Rocio's Kitchen). Ginger's in Playa Hermosa is also a great place to eat. It's kind of pricey, but very good. Ziplining is a must! The Congo Trail had excellent tour guides and were very knowledgeable and friendly. We had kids from 6-11 years old in our group. They were nervous to try it, but after they completed the first zipline they were hooked and wanted to do all 9 lines! Make sure you see Playa Conchal! The water is more blue than the other beaches and there isn't any sand...it's just seashells! It's very unique! I would recommend renting a 4wd. The roads are steep and fun to drive! Hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did! Pura Vida!

All the amenities you’d expect from a 5-star resort in your own private paradise. We recently vacationed here as part of a group of 8 friends. Our stay far exceeded our expectations and we absolutely plan to visit again. This beautiful home’s centerpiece is its large infinity pool with an expansive view of the ocean. The pool features a wading area and several built-in stools where we sat, talked and laughed in the water. The Jacuzzi is raised slightly above the swimming level and is equipped with lighted glass blocks and a waterfall that spills into the pool. Inside, our group enjoyed gathering and chatting around the more than ample-sized kitchen island. An added feature on the main level is a beautiful master bedroom with a door-wall that opens to the pool deck. Upstairs are more bedrooms - another lovely master bedroom along with two equally pretty guest bedrooms. As the pictures suggest, the master bath facilities are impressive and the guest baths include spacious glass showers. We were all extremely comfortable with plenty of space in our rooms and individually controlled air conditioners. The home is centrally located only a minute or two from the pristine Pacific Ocean at Playa Hermosa, a 10-minute drive to Coco Beach and many, many fine restaurants everywhere. All-in-all, this property is a definite winner!

Our friends who have a house nearby recommended Ilan Ilan to us. It was the most fabulous place I could imagine for a family holiday. Our two adult children and their friends shared with us. We would all go back in a heartbeat. The views over the Bay of Papagayo are just as shown, only more so - magnificent! Needless to say, we spent lots of time in the gorgeous pool. The house is new, extremely clean and well- equipped, we had everything we needed. We cooked and ate many meals outside on the beautiful shaded patio area....with "the view" always in front of us. So relaxing! There are lots of good restaurants and things to do in the area. We explored deserted beaches, went diving, snorkelling, fishing (caught way more than we could ever eat!), zip-lining and mud pools etc. at Borinquen in the mountains, river cruise and to crown it all, we joined Ticos at their fun rodeo/fiesta in Liberia. We saw lots of wildlife, and even had regular visits from Beachfront's tame (abandoned at birth) Howler Monkey, Mona Lisa. I'm sure that most visitors to CR do not get to experience a Howler Monkey grinning at them and climbing all over them as we did - sweet! Guss and Tim at Beachfront were great - very helpful even when we kept locking ourselves out of the safes! Hint - hire a four-wheel drive if you want to explore - once you leave the main roads, you will find the roads very rough. We were sad to leave but will be back, as will our kids. This house helped to make our holiday truly exceptional and I have already been telling out friends about it. Quite expensive - but when you can share with others it works out pretty cost-effective we think for such easy-going luxury.

Just spent a fabulous week at Casa Ilan Ilan. This was our third trip to Costa Rica, and we rate it the best. The home was fabulously furnished with the latest appliances and all the bells and whistles. The 4 bedrooms each had their own bathroom and opened to the length of the house balcony. The outside area is awesome. Facing the ocean half way up the mountainside, there is a large covered seating area next to the ample sized infinity pool with a grassy area to sit at and enjoy the sunset. Eating, groceries, restaurants and beach are just down the hillside and makes for an enjoyable and adventurous daily walk. We hope to return back to the same spot for years to come.

For our fourth trip to Costa Rica, we decided to stay at this new home in Playa Hermosa. We were very pleased with the experience! In order to have a view of the beach and ocean, the homes in this area are typically built on the side of a mountain. As a result, there may be little or no living area in front of the house, and the "pool" is often not much wider than a bathtub. This home is exceptional in that it has a large patio and large pool, due to its square-shaped lot. The location of the lot, on the end of a switchback, also means there are neighbors on just one side, and an exceptionally expansive view of the ocean. With the over-sized patio and swimming pool area, our group of eight (four couples) was uncrowded and quite comfortable when relaxing outside. If you plan to sit around and "do nothing" for part of your stay, it may be important to consider the size of a home's outdoor facilities more than than the size of the rooms. Inside, the four bedrooms are generously proportioned and each has its own bathroom. The nicely appointed bathrooms and quality furnishings are comparable to top-of-the-line resorts--better than we expected for a private home. The home was completed within the last year, so everything was clean and in good repair. We noticed an absence of bugs and scorpions in this house, which may be due to the home being new, or, more likely, because the doors and windows seem to fit more tightly than other places we've stayed. Since we cooked most of our meals at the house, the kitchen amenities were important. The appliances were of high quality, and there were plenty of utensils and dishes, even for our group of eight. Though I wouldn't recommend staying in Playa Hermosa without a car, there are several very good restaurants within walking distance of this house, including one located within the complex. There is also a new Luperon Market a short walk down the main road. The beach is only a short walk as well, (though part of that walk is quite steep--it may be better to drive down the hill and park, then walk to the beach). Highly recommended.
