Cute little house that has everything you need. It was very clean. A few minute walk to a small lake with trail around it. You can fish, play tennis/pickleball or go to the community pool. Close to downtown shops and restaurants. We’ll be back next year!

Perfect for the two of us, and would also be great for family with 2 small/1 teenage children. Enjoyed morning walks around Lake Tomahawk, 2 blocks away. We didn’t cook, buts there were lots of dishes and cookware. Nice restaurants in town. We used this location as a hub for Biltmore, Blue Ridge Parkway (favorite overlooks being Craggy Gardens and Mt. Pisgah), waterfalls near Brevard, and Chimney Rock. If we return to Asheville area, we’ll seek out this specific cabin.

Cozy little house. I sat outside on the covered porch a lot. Had a storm come through and take the power out for a little while. My daughter brought me some coffee from a local shop. Walked around Tomahawk lake, and town. Very nice place, enjoyed the area, it was just a short visit to pick up my daughter from college. I would like to stay longer next time with my wife.

This was our second stay at this vacation home. The location is excellent. It is a short walk to lovely Lake Tomahawk for our daily walk enjoying the fresh mountain air and birdwatching. The owners are very quick to respond and the house is well-appointed, comfortable and very clean.

Super cute cabin close to downtown Black Mountain. Beds were very comfy as was the living room furniture. Well supplied kitchen. Overall a great stay.

What an adorable place in the quaint town of Black Mountain! We just loved the quiet area that was still walkable to downtown and Lake Tomahawk as well as a short drive to amazing hiking in Montreat and breathtaking views in the Blue Ridge Parkway. This darling cottage had everything we needed for our stay, including dishes, cookware, bakeware and even some bonus spices!! The master bed was comfortable and the decor of the home was trendy and tasteful. I highly recommend this adorable cottage. Hosts were very responsive and didn’t leave a chore list a mile long- LOL! While in Black Mountain be sure to stop at Black Mountain Cider + Mead and Oak and Grist Distillery for amazing local libations.

Enjoyed our stay very much. The house worked very well for us. Loved being able to walk into the center of town for wandering and eating.

From arrival to departure...this was a lovely home to return to after a days adventure/meetings. Well apportioned and easy to use kitchen, comfortable beds, nice water pressure, and quality linens...just like home. Good communication and easy check in/out. Quick access to I40 to go into Asheville for meetings, plus ability to walk into Black Mt village for early morning coffee or dinner was so convenient. Evening walks around Tomahawk lake and a days hike on the Mountains to Sea Trail just a short drive away made for a perfect visit to Western NC. Highly recommend.

This is our third time staying at this lovely home. Although the check in details were not ready when we arrived and the cleaning had not been processed yet due to a mix up in scheduling, the owner quickly took care of it (as in just a couple minutes someone was there to clean - literally! Amazing!) and everything was as wonderful as it always has been. He did everything possible to make it right. It was done so quickly that by the time we rode to Starbucks for a coffee after the long drive and hit the grocery store for a few supplies, the home was ready and in great shape. This property is not only great for location and a beautiful place to stay, but it also has great owners managing it who care about those staying in their home. I’ve already booked my fourth stay here!

We really enjoyed our stay here. It had everything we needed to be comfortable and enjoy the area. The place was clean with great touches throughout — plenty of hooks for hanging towels, kitchen is well equipped, a front patio that lets you enjoy the surrounding nature.

Our family loved this little abode. While we didn’t walk into downtown, you could! It’s super close to everything. The owner made some great recommendations for places to hike and eat and we loved the Montreat climb and My Father’s pizza best! The home offers all our family needed for a couple of nights away. Super comfy mattresses and pillows too!

Such a great experience, this house was clean and cozy, and close to so many things to do. My whole family enjoyed our stay.

Our Christmas stay at the cozy red cottage was perfect. We were comfortable in spite of the arctic temperatures and wanted for nothing. The hosts had even thought to put a Christmas tree in the cottage for us to enjoy! The property is very clean, nicely furnished and easily accessible to everything Black Mountain has to offer as well as easy access to Asheville. We can wait to return.

Exactly as advertised, wonderful decor, fully and extensively appointed, a lovely spot, quiet and convenient. A lot of TLC has gone into making this place comfortable and functional - not just a cheap fitout for a profit generating rental like some places. Great communication. So appreciated this place. Love, love, loved this place: quiet, clean, stylish but calm & restrained. Walkable to town and park…did I mention that I loved it? Such a restful, beautiful visit!

The cottage has everything you need for a pleasant stay and works well for accessing Black Mountain’s downtown shops and restaurants. There is a small lake close by with a walking path that is ideal for a couple of laps in the evening or morning.. You can also walk via a path from the lake up into a nice neighborhood and then into the downtown. Good bed in the master with plenty of pillows. We enjoyed our stay.

This is a great place to stay if you are visiting the Biltmore estate or Asheville. On a super quiet street and the place is immaculately kept. Super easy owner and check in process. Would highly recommend.

We will definitely stay here again. Cozy, well-appointed cottage in Black Mountain near to EVERYTHING! We loved it here and we will be back soon! A must!

This is the second time we have stayed at this house. We love it! Close to town, shopping, dining, and gorgeous views! The house is impeccably clean and well-organized. Perfect for any visit the Black Mountain! We will be back again!

My husband and I enjoyed our weekend away just us at this adorable, spotlessly clean cottage. It had everything we needed, was in the perfect location, and was easy to find. We were able to walk around the area and feel safe and enjoyed sitting on the porch at night with the candles lit, drinking a glass of wine. Great little spot, and reasonably priced as well.

This house was PERFECT! We go to the Asheville area often and this is our favorite place ever! Super clean, organized (things are labeled), and cozy. Loved that we were close to the lake and the town was so fun. I wish I could give this more stars. We will be back and stay here for sure!
