Was second time staying there and enjoyed our stay

Best place to stay at Point Turton!

Was a nice place to stay, very clean for what it is and great location. Has had a nice little Reno on the living areas but the toilet and bathroom area is still very original, not that it really bothered us at all. The only thing we found annoying about our stay was the entrances. Road access was there but only if you entered from the beach faced balcony/pergola area and opened from the inside. The sliding door lock was very temperamental and probably needs a replacement as it’s definitely on its last legs. If they were to change that lock and place one also on the road facing door where the parking is would make ease of entry much easier, and maybe a new fly screen door on the front also as the original wooden one is very tight to open and shut, especially trying to be careful as to not void a bond refund. Again no front handle to open from road entrance on fly screen door. Other than the entry situation the kitchen could do with a cheap microwave. These aren’t complaints at all, rather tips for the owners to maximise return visitors. Nice spot and very clean, we’d come back. Cheers.

Great location, beach shack description accurate. Having to supply bedding, towels and toilet paper seems harsh considering the price. Shower dripped all day/night with faulty valve. Bathroom generally sub standard. No microwave a surprise. With a few improvements it would be a great place. We did enjoy the views and walking trails.

Easy to book and communication was great. The house was clean and tidy. Bedrooms are quite small but enough for our young family of 5. The kitchen utensils like pans and knives are a bit outdated but we made it work. The views are lovely and there some board games available under the coffee table

We enjoyed our time in The Shack. It was as we expected, not 5 stars but comfortable and clean with a great view. Sunrises over the bay, pelicans and hooded plovers, playing in the shallows. There is not a lot to do at Pt Turton itself but relaxing and no pressure is good. Pt T. is a great place to use as a central point to visit other sites. Meal at the Tavern (crumbed whiting)...excellent. overall good value.

Amazing little shack along the beach good fishing and crabbing at the jetty great food at the pub and local store had and amzing relaxing holiday in an amazing little town

A perfect tranquil setting for us. An uninterrupted waterside view from the balcony, the lounge and the kitchen. An easy and beautiful walk at low tide to Flaherty's Beach. Wouldn't mind a firmer bed, but that's just a personal thing. Not too far from the beautiful spots at the bottom of Yorke Peninsula.

Simple accommodation with beachy decor. Such a relaxing place to enjoy some downtime but also an easy drive to local towns and bakeries. Plenty of bird life to watch while enjoying the balcony views or go for a daily walk on the esplanade walking track. A great base to travel the "Bottom End" and visit iconic beaches like Berry and Pondalowie Bays. Highly recommend.

The best way to unwind before the festive frenzy season. Nothing beats that view with a glass in hand. Comfortable with the reverse cycle when unseasonable cold weather hit mid December. Magic Shack!

It's a shack,

My stay at classic shack was wonderful. It's perfect for 4-5 people with an un-interrupted view you can enjoy for hours. Accomodation has a rustic feel and has everything you need to be comfortable and is great value for money. Sure there are bigger, more expensive places to stay but the classic shack has a great feel to it. I'll be staying here again for sure.

Highly recommend to anyone who just wants to get away. No microwave or electric frying pan, so suggest you prepare for that. BBQ is top of the range and enjoyed many a steak or fish being cooked on plate or grill.

This place is as great as it seems in the pictures. The view is marvellous. Extra points for the lovely decoration. The jetty is just 20 minutes away by walking and the path borders the sea. We really enjoy our time there.

This property reminded us of childhood holidays in the 70s when time was slower and life much less hectic and that's what we got. Loved every minute we were there- recharged the batteries and saw amazing views from all over the southern Yorke Peninsula. Will definitely come ahain- shame we had to leave.
