The property is nice, but could use some updates - new coffee pot (took over 45 minutes to brew a pot), dishwasher (none currently in cabin), televisions (small/older models and some cables were broken), curtain rods fell when adjusting curtains. All in all the cabin is cozy and rustic and we enjoyed our time there. The suggested updates would only make the property more inviting/comfortable in our opinion.

This cabin was very clean in a nice quiet location.

Cabin was located in a remote location that was convenient to Mt Rushmore and many other attractions. Cabin was clean and came with ample supplies.

Great for all the attractions that we wanted to see. Host was very pleasant to work with. We had great weather and a nice friendly dog came to visit on the deck.

It was just what we needed when our day trips were over. But we would suggest a new coffee pot. We would recommend and return.😊

It was a comfortable cabin for our family. Do not attempt to find it at night in the rain! Adequate for our needs but there were not many drinking glasses. Plates were chipped and it definitely could use a resupply. A trip to Goodwill would remedy the situation. This was our first stay at a VRBO but we did expect a small supply of salt, pepper and sugar in individual packets. There were none. There were six of us and there was enough room for privacy and comfort. We did not miss internet or television. We brought our own games. We do not consider it remote when you are next to a road and you can see neighbor’s houses.

My stay in the most beautiful country I've ever seen ,

We are a family of 4 persons. The cabin was perfect for us with plenty of room to relax after a day of activities. The kitchen had cookware and dishes, we were able to prepare meals, there is a nice big table for meals. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this cabin as a good place to stay.

The cabin was great. The amenities were great. The location was exactly what we were looking for and the cabin has a definite cabin feel. Our only issue was lack of seasonings for cooking( not even salt and pepper lol. Still 5/ stars for this cozy little cabin!

Very nice cabin that fit our family well with the two bedrooms up and 2 beds down stairs. The location was quite remote which was great for trail riding but a bit of a drive to town and attractions. Overall a great experience and will stay here again.

The cabin itself was very nice. We did have an issue with hornets which must have been a known issue as there was hornet spray on the counter. We have stayed in many other cabins and I was disappointed by the lack of games, etc when the weather was rainy. The kids wanted to hang out outside but we weren't sure where the property ended and didn't want to bother the neighbors. I do understand why trash is only disposed of at the dumpsters, however for the cost I was very disappointed that I had to haul trash in my vehicle. Especially when we were leaving with a car full of kids and stuff. Then bring the trash too. Im not sure why the cleaning crew can't do that on last day. This would be an ok cabin for couples but not great for younger families.

Our stay in the Edelweiss Mountain community was wonderful. The home was inviting and comfortable. After being with people and traffic throughout the day, it was great to come home to a quiet community and a place that felt like home. We also enjoyed the ATV adventure with Chuck. We were very happy to find this home and to enjoy it for five evenings.

The property was good. Lots more room than we needed. The first days were cold and rainy but we enjoyed being at the cabin. I wish we could have found a shovel when we first arrived, the deck was full of snow. There was plenty of room to park our trailer and motorcycles. Cabinets were well furnished, had what we needed to cook our meals. Thanks

I can’t say enough about this property! We felt right at home and enjoyed everything about it. The property is beautiful and very relaxing. We were there to enjoy some downtime at Pactola Lake, so the location of the property was perfect.

Enjoyed on week in South Dakota. Cabin was convenient to the activities that we chose. The road up to the cabin was very long, rough and winding (dirt/gravel). Recommend 4w Drive. We cooked several meals at the house and thought the kitchen could have used more pans and at least one 9x13. What was there was not very nice and we are not picky about pans. Luckily we brought an electric skillet, a couple skillets and Bundt pan to cook a birthday cake in. Also a smaller hand mixer or whisk would have been helpful. Other than that we slept great and enjoyed the patio.

Property adequately supplied our requirements and was located near attractions in this area.

We loved staying in this beautiful cabin. We have small children and they loved the setting and room to play on the deck. It was clean and cozy. The location allowed us to have a home base as we enjoyed day trips to a variety of tourist spots. We even did an ATV tour using Black Hills Outdoor Adventures. What a great trip! We’d definitely come back!

Place was in great locatio. You really need 4x4 to get there but us worth it. Plenty of space.

Very nice place to stay

Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay. We were passing through on our way to Colorado and wanted to enjoy a few of the sites in the Black Hills. The property was in a convenient location for many of the major sites like Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse and Custer National Park. The property was clean and communication with the owner/property manager was seamless.

If you’re looking for a quiet getaway and you really like the serenity of the Black Hills, this is your go to. It was my wife and I and our four kids. The sleeping arrangements were great! The kitchen was a solid setup and the grocery store in Hill City is 16 miles away. The only thing I’d consider if I were to stay in the area again is the drive in and out. It’s a beautiful drive, but it’s back in there on a winding gravel road. It’s a 15 minute drive to get off the main road. Now, if you’re looking for pristine nature, this is great. If you’re going say tripping, it makes it a little bit of a longer drive. Overall, GREAT HOME and worth the $$. Thank you for opening it up for us to call home for a few days.

We had a great time at the cabin. It exceeded all of our expectations! It was the perfect place for our family. We really enjoyed the scenery. It was beautiful and well kept. We can't wait to come back!

We enjoyed the cabin overall and had a great weekned with family. However, we had to take time to clean the cabin upon arrival due to the multiple dead, and dying flies along the window sills, on the counter tops, in the sink, on the floors of the bedrooms and kitchen/living room. We expected a bit cleaner of a cabin with the cleaning fees each day. I feel as though we left the cabin cleaner than we found it! Also, would be more convenient to have a key/lock box at the cabin and a light on upon arrival for later arrivals.

Very clean. All knotty pine. If you like being in the mountains and in the woods where you see wild life every day, this is a great spot!

Cabin was clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the quiet and surrounding area. We even had snow to wrap up the fall getaway! It was beautiful. We would definitely come again if we decide to visit the area again. We got to see what we wanted and came back to enjoy the comforts of the cabin. Lovely home...

This cabin is great for a family getaway. It is well equipped for a comfortable stay in the wooded mountain area. We saw deer and other wildlife from the deck. Be forewarned that it is a four mile drive up onto the mountain on a gravel road. This location kept us from staying out past dark. We didn’t want to drive that road at night. But it was a cozy place to cook dinner and enjoy our evening there. A good value.
