This is our 2nd time at this house & we love it! Everyone has their own space, the pool is great, & the house is beautiful & well stocked :)

Great home and property. So quiet and comfortable beds. Located close to Gruene and Wimberly. We had a wonderful time.

My girlfriends and I wanted a weekend getaway not too far from home and this was perfect! Went to Gruene Hall which isn’t far and also floated the river which was so fun! The pool was a huge hit also! Everything was super clean and we would love to go back!

Did not realize how close the houses were to each other. The pool was pretty nasty. A lot of fake finger nails floating in pool and was pretty cloudy water with high chlorine smell.

My extended family of 11 enjoyed staying together over the 4th of July weekend. House is well stocked and has plenty of space. Loved the pool, and game room!

The property was great. Probably the best stocked vacation home we have stayed in. The pool was great we spent a lot of time in the pool. The little kids play den off the kitchen was wonderful my 2yr granddaughter loved the toys. Alot of nice touches. Only a few things negative.. 1. Thurs morning the strange guy in the back yard which we determined to be the pool guy...suggest you include that info in your welcome info. 2. We had a package delivered by Amazon and it was delivered to the mailbox which the management company did not have access to and the owner wasn't around. We were told deliveries weren't allowed... another thing that should be mentioned. 3. The driveway is not as big as it looks in the picture. You pack in front of the garage on the side. No access to the garage makes it difficult to bring everything in. We had a great family vacation and enjoyed the area. We would stay here again..the above items are just more of an FYI.

I enjoyed everything except the cold pool.

The whole house was very conducive for us. It would have been a plus to know the pool was not heated, as the temperature in Texas was cold. Also they need a working coffee maker. It's broken and we're coffee drinkers. The shades in the house don't work either. Other than that, it was a nice experience

We had such a nice time in this lovely home - lots of character and space! Plenty of wildlife to see! Bedrooms just need a place to put clothes (dressers or shelves, etc.)! Thank you!

Beautiful house, had a great time. Very clean, spacious and everything you need in the kitchen, but this trip we didn’t cook. Thank you for a fun weekend ❤️

House was very accommodating and had a great location right near the lake!

Older home with some upgrades but others needed. Disposal broken. Spider webs in entry window. Old and noisy ceiling fans. Nice master suite and bath. Pool was nice.

We had a group of 11, including 5 kids 12 and under. This was the perfect set up for us! Plenty of bedrooms with spaces left over for play, games, pool time and a spot to sneak away if you need a quiet space to yourself. The kitchen is well stocked and the downstairs is awesome for gathering with lots of extra space. The hosts were accommodating and allowed for a seamless check in and check out. As a VRBO host myself I would highly recommend this home as no detail was left undone.

The overall property was fantastic, the location, the layout of the house and the overall room provided was good. We did encounter an issue with the pool that went unresolved. Upon use after the first day all kids had a reaction, I reached out asking if there was a way to test the pool because 6 different kids had a reaction to the water. The property manager attempted to get a pool maintenance company there but was unsuccessful. We were there for 3 days and unfortunately unable to utilize the pool during our stay. When they final did get a pool company there the day we left they said the chemicals were in line and it was probably a reaction to the chlorine, which I strongly disagree with as 2 of the kids are on swim team and have a pool they are in daily without a reaction.

The house is stunning. The kids play room was an absolute plus since we had two children in the group. The pool was probably the most superb feature for the stay. It was beyond relaxing. We would absolutely stay there again.

Great home. Clean and large enough for a family gathering

Loved the pool and outdoor speakers. Shared space was excellent. Lots of products included, such as coffee, shower and bathroom soaps, etc. However there were no kitchen hand towels. I wish there had been a view of the lake. Several items in need of repair including a bathroom door almost off of the hinges, 2 broken pool chairs, and a powder room sink loose from the wall. But overall a great experience.

Awesome time for 12 people. Plenty of room. Everything labeled and instructions for easy use. Would definitely use again.

Everything was wonderful. The house has lots of space and is furnished for comfortable ease and feeling at home. It’s decorated cute and the bones of the house are awesome. We had more space than we needed, but it was nice to not be on top of each other. The living, kitchen, dining area is my favorite!! Perfect for cooking, talking, and relaxing. The pool is awesome! It is in the country, so you share the outdoors with other animals and bugs so be aware. One thing I wanted to share was make sure when you take out the trash you put it in the big trash can with lid closed. One night we left a bag outside to take to big bin in the morning, and what I assume a raccoon had dinner in it. Could have been avoided. Lol. All in all we loved our stay and would definitely come back! Thank you so much!

Beautiful house! Plenty of room for everyone, excellent area, great pool and outdoor area is perfect!!

We recently stayed here with a total of 8 guests (4 adults and 4 kids). House was spacious and plenty of room. There was a kids toy room for the younger ones and even games for the older kids and adults. The private pool was nice as well. The house is about 10 minutes away from the marina which was very convenient. There is also a. Grocery store about 10 minutes away. There were a couple of inconveniences. There were very few restaurants that would be able to deliver to the house - you have to go pick up the food yourself. The kitchen disposal wasn’t working which was a nuisance. You don’t realize how much you need that until it stops working. We were only allowed to use the washer once per day which is annoying when you have 4 kids and going in and out of the pool all day and limited bath towels. I believe the AC was on an auto setting because every night it became really hot both upstairs and downstairs. Overall it was a pleasant stay. Private and spacious and clean.

The size of the property was great for our large extended family (6 adults and 4 kids). The play room and game room were a hit with the kids and the pool was one of the main reasons we booked. However, we had a few things happen that reduced the overall experience. Prior to arriving, I received 2 different calls stating that the dishwasher was broken and wouldn’t be fixed until after our stay and then the upstairs bathtub got a hole and couldn’t be used for baths. We had to contact the management company multiple times for dish towels since there weren’t any upon arrival and we had to hand wash dishes. The kitchen sink was also extremely slow to drain and the disposal didn’t work. They did send maintenance to look at it, but he did not wear a mask and couldn’t figure out the disposal. The dishwasher was fixed on our last full day there, so a little earlier than expected. The a/c was strange...it was very cold in some rooms and hot in others. We couldn’t figure it out. The grill was not in the best condition - usable, but a pain to light since the ignition button was broken. The common areas were a great size. Everyone had a place at the table and the living room was spacious. The house was clean, but was in need of a deep clean and some things overlooked (half empty water bottle left under a bed). I felt like the pictures made it look nicer than in person. We had a good time as a family, but I think we’ll try a different place in the future.

The property management is quick to respond. My family of 4 plus another family of 4 really enjoyed this property! The kids play room off the kitchen was a HUGE HIT! The toddlers spent most of their time in there. The house is very clean with LOTS of spaces the backyard with the pool is really nice. We were 3 minutes from the boat ramp to canyon Lake! The only bad thing I could say is the pool had so much chemicals in it. Not enough to keep us from swimming, but enough for a strong smell. Other than that we will be renting the property in the near future!! Highly recommend!!

Stone Ridge Retreat was the perfect getaway for my friends and me including kids. Checkin was easy, the place was very clean, and everything is as pictured. The retreat is perfectly located to many small downtown areas with food and shopping areas. We absolutely loved visiting Gruene, but the house has all the entertainment you could need (games, pool, tv, Internet). Plenty of space for a gathering of friends or families. The proprietors have thought of every detail: play room, kitchen equipment, pool tools, yard games, rockers and beyond. The pool was a huge hit with both adults and kids. If you’re looking for more of a respite, the area is beautiful and quiet. On my morning walk, I even saw a small gathering of deer which made my day! If you’re looking for a fun or peaceful retreat, this place is perfect especially for large groups! Can’t recommend this place enough.

At arrival the property was immaculate and beautiful. After a few hours spent there we noticed a couple of the pool accessories were broken so we didn’t bother using them we later were charged for those broken pool accessories so make sure you check everything before you start enjoying your time so that you don’t get accused of breaking things that are already broken. Right before bedtime we noticed roaches in the kitchen and restrooms granted I understand the house is out in the country but I might myself have a home in the country and have ZERO ROACHES.. maybe something pesticide control could’ve kept under control. Thank God we took our own pillows because the linen was full of white stains which I sent to the phone number that texts you to check if everything is ok so they were fully aware. You’d think the linen would get washed thoroughly before the next guests arrive. Sad to say the cleaning supplies left to clean up an accident my son had after too much sun and snacks were horrible. I have a photo of my oldest son cleaning the accident yet we were also charged for that. We also have photos of roaches and stained linens. All that was sent was an apology for the filth not to mention being charged for some kind of pool umbrella being broken which was broken and not even able to be used when we arrived. Check everything before you are charged for broken items like we were. Check linens before laying in those beds.

We are an extended family of 10, ages 11-74. The house accomodated us very well. We were disappointed to find no open public fishing places close by but the kids and adults had fun in the pool and tubing a couple days. The best part of our stay was the fellowoship around You Tube in the evenings when we had family devotions and the kids shared their favorite Christian video. We played lots of games and put together a 500 piece jigsaw on the large table. Our son said "The vacation was the house."

We needed a house where we could sleep the bridal party, and this place was perfect! The location is in a quiet location but close to everything we needed and the venue. We recommend it!
