This is an excellent place with a great view to the lake. We really enjoyed our gateway, it is very relaxing and accommodating. Stores our just a few minutes away from the house. Jerry is very helpful and makes you feel comfortable. My kids really enjoyed their mini vacation at this place. We will definitely return!

My family had to find a place to stay at the last minute due to our A/C going out at home. We had to wait for over a week for the part to come in for the repair. Jerry was very accommodating and helpful. He was a great host and we would definitely go back to stay at any of his other houses available.

We immensely enjoyed our relaxing week at this quiet lake house. We had wonderful views of wildlife including herons, giant egrets, ducks and more. The sunsets, sunrises and storm watching were amazing from the wall of windows facing the lake. Jerry was a responsive host who made you feel like a regular neighbor instead of just a visitor passing through. The house was close to so many things in Frisco while still feeling like you were out away from everything. It is a lake house, there were occasional spiders or wasps hanging around, but it is exactly what we expected from a lake house. It felt like a house our grandparents would have owned, and I mean that in the best way. It wasn’t the newest space age appliances, but it had everything we needed and was comfortable for a quiet week with our family. The kids loved the loft, my husband was able to work during the day due to the high quality internet and then walk down to the lake and fish in the evenings. The house was charming and had a lot of character. We would definitely consider staying again!

Wonderful Lakehouse! We had an amazing time at the lake house with breathtaking views through the picturesque windows. The host we most welcoming from the moment we arrived offering anything we needed. The house was perfect for our family with a space for everyone. We enjoyed playing soccer in the large backyard, as well as freebie, horseshoes and bocce ball. We enjoyed playing family games late into the night, snuggling up on the couch to watch a movie, and sitting on the porch sharing a drink. Weather permitting, we even enjoyed the lake with kayaking and some sunbathing. The house has a great location close by many restaurants. We were treated like family and will be back again soon. The property was not located in a great neighborhood. Although the owner has several rental properties that look renovated online, this property is not and needs upgrades for the price of the stay. The doors were not secure and could be easily pushed open when locked. There was NO water pressure in the shower. The owner although communicative, was a bit too much for our comfort. We received random texts daily asking if everything was alright. This was uncomfortable and unsettling. We were not there for a vacation but for a funeral and did not feel we had the respected space to relax and rest. The beds were uncomfortable. We checked out early because of feeling uncomfortable and unsafe and asked for a refund for once day in which the owner declined. I wish VBRO did a better job of informing the renter of the neighborhood in which it is located. Other reviews could be deceiving and lack essential details. I do not recommend this property.

We stayed at this property for Thanksgiving and it was great. Property owner was helpful and attentive. Would stay again.

We really enjoyed staying at this getaway. We had a few challenges with the heat working and the shower didn't have good pressure, but otherwise the view was amazing and it was very quiet. I would definitely recommend!

Great with no issues

This property is truly a lake house. It gives cabin, woods, floor crackles, crickets chirping, birds whistling, spiders crawling and mosquitos flying. We had a spider come from the ceiling on his long web, while we were watching TV. We had an entry way and a porch full of spiderwebs with greeting mosquitos on our pillow. It's a LAKE HOUSE. If you're not ready for all of this the this is not the house for you. The host was amazing, greeted us at the door, Told us all about the area. We were able to utilize their Kayaks which were located in his trailer. Be prepared to wash the dirt and cobwebs off yourself, take them to the lake and put them back when you're done. It's a LAKE house. They did have an area that had towels and bowls for your pet which was nice. The hospitality of the host was above and beyond amazing, invited us to sit with them by the fire a couple of nights while we were there, they own pretty much every house on the lake, so you will see them out every day. It' a family friendly lake house. Be prepared to feel like you're living outdoors with your neighbors. It took us a couple of nights before we were able to become accustomed to the atmosphere. It's a LAKE HOUSE.

I planned a surprise for my partner and this was a wonderful place for that. The owners are so friendly and have a lot of watercrafts for guest use. It is very dog friendly and I wish we didn’t have to leave.

Home was well equipped. Cozy accommodations. Hosts were gracious and very responsive. Looking forward to visiting again.

The house was on the water and the view was beautiful. We enjoyed sitting and looking out the floor to ceiling windows. The host greeted us the first night and checked in frequently to ensure we had everything we needed. The only complaint is the small bathroom and problems with the shower. We advised the host and he was aware of our concerns. Otherwise, the home was nice and very comfortable.

We had a wonderful time staying in this house! Although we visited during a heatwave, the lake kept us refreshed and the house stayed nice and cool as well. Our favorite activities were paddle boarding and going for our nightly sunset swims.

This house was great for everyone. We swam, fished off the dock, hiked, and went over to the awesome beach. We also went to Hula Hut and Towers restaurant, both were good places to eat and relax.

My best friend and I stayed for a girl's trip. We wanted a mix of shopping, nice dinning, and relaxing lake life. This was exactly what we wanted. The lake was literally at the back door and was a nice lake. We got to borrow kayaks and life jackets from Jeri and Jerry and enjoyed that a lot. The view on the back porch was great. If you are willing to drive 20 minutes there is so much shopping and awesome dining in Frisco. It was really the perfect mix for our girl's trip.

Great view of the lake and relaxing atmosphere, unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate with us otherwise we would have utilized the kayak and jet ski rentals.

we had a perfect get away. the house was cozy and clean. lush grass all the way down the short walk to the water line and shared docks. we used the owners kayaks all weekend for free which was a huge plus for us. Loved the location of the house, in a cove. we kayaked across the way to restaurants and hydro park. great sunsets from the back deck over the water. The stand up shower didn't allow much room to maneuver, so had to shave legs outside the shower and the spiral staircase to the loft is definitely suited for kids as it was very narrow. It worked for us, just things to consider depending on your family needs. We will definitely be back!
