This location is ideal. Can hear and see the ocean from the unit. It’s so much more spacious than pictures can show. Only complaint is the temp regulation in the back bedroom is off— didn’t matter for this time of year for us, just opened windows at night. Also could be more towels and hand soap and better dishwasher soap. But it was the ideal vacation for our family (2 adults, 3 kids). We will be back!

I suppose the outside light above the front door which was so full that it did not/could not illuminate the entryway should have been our first clue. It is unfortunate that the photos of this rental do not accurately depict it's old and dirty condition. EVERYTHING was dirty, from the refrigerator to the bathrooms, from the windows to the REALLY dirty laundry room to the linens. (I hesitate to call them "linens") The heat didn't work and we spent the first night at 61 degrees. (Primary bedroom window was stuck open) And yes, we immediately called VRBO and sent pictures of what we found most egregious. In fairness the property owner called very promptly with apologies but it was very clear that this is no ones home. This is strictly a "rental" and upgrades or improvements have not been a priority. We were offered two nights compensation and, while appreciated, with the VRBO fees it only discounted our total price by one third. We were only staying 4 nights and it was not possible to find another rental without throwing good money after bad. I have vacationed on Kiawah Island since 1986 and rented many beautiful condominiums and homes in those years.This was by far the most disappointing - despite its great proximity to the beach. We three old college roommates hoping to celebrate our 70th Birthdays felt crestfallen. Shame on VRBO Shame on this "Premier Property Owner" And Shame on me for renting this place believing nothing like this existed on Kiawah Island

Just one minor complaint, and one that’s not so minor. There were no clothes hangers - not one. I texted the owner since the property manager had informed me, before our arrival, that she would not be available for a couple days after we checked in. The owner never got back to me. After a could of days we adapted to the lack of clothes hangers. The more serious problem was a loose “paver/brick” on the path to the condo. I discovered the problem when I fell. Into the bushes beside the path. I had no serious injuries - just a few cuts from the fall into the bushes. I advise the owner/manager to fix this problem before someone is seriously injured. The pros - the layout of the condo is great - wouldn’t change a thing. Its position right on the beach adjacent to Boardwalk #17 is so convenient. This was our first trip to Kiawah after an absence of 7 years and we really enjoyed it. Renters should aware that VRBO rentals on Kiawah do not include access and use of any Kiawah Resort amenities, including the swimming pools. This didn’t bother us sine the beach and ocean were right outside our back door.

This is an awesome property with a great location. Very responsive host. I agree with another reviewer that owners bedroom tends to be a little warmer than rest of home but other two bedrooms are nice and cool. We loved staying here and will stay here again!

This was our first time staying at the property, and we could not have been more impressed. Our party included four adults and three children (10, 7, and 2), and we were looking for a property that was close to both the beach and Night Heron Park. This condo at Mariner's Watch fit the bill perfectly. The property is an end-unit that is steps from the beach, with a view from the kitchen and dining room that is absolutely breath-taking. The dining room includes a little nook with a small table and chairs that thrilled our two-year-old. The unit was clean, well-equipped, and comfortable. We could not have been happier with our experience!

The location in Kiawah was perfect for us. The condo has all the necessities for our stay. We enjoyed it very much.

Overall a really great stay. Can't beat the location and ease of walking out your porch door to the ocean! Great layout and plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Decor is nice, however, some very easy updates would make it MUCH better (specifically the bathroom floor vents. all rusted over and could easily be replaced to look much nicer). Had an issue with airflow to the primary bedroom so I would caution staying here in the summer. But otherwise would totally stay here again. The communication was excellent.

Property was beautiful with stunning ocean views. Very convenient location that is as close as you can get to the beach and a short walk from Night Heron Park. Open layout of living space was awesome with kids and each bedroom has its own private bath. Some small signs of wear and tear, but overall extremely pleased with our stay. *One side note is they no longer offer beach chairs, so plan to pack them or purchase in town.

We had such a wonderful experience staying at this condo. The location is incredible!! The condo was so clean and beautiful. Plus, it was fully stocked with everything you would need. I was truly impressed with everything this condo had to offer, and we loved being able to just walk right out to the beach from the unit. I’m already looking at my calendar to plan a trip back!

I think another reviewer said "book and don't worry, it is worth every penny" and I completely agree! The unit is even more gorgeous in person, tremendous views and as close as you can get to the boardwalk and beach. The beds were all very comfortable. You feel like you are in someone's very well-cared for home and not an ignored rental. My entire family thought this was the best unit we've been in yet. Also so many items are thought of and provided. Highly recommend!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Place was literally 78 steps from beach and very convenient. Floorplan/layout was awesome and the panoramic windows were amazing. Will definitely stay here again!

This location is amazing. I have two little kids requiring a lot of naps. Being 15 feet from the beach made it so convenient. Property was very clean and looks just like pictures. A lot of signs of wear and tear throughout property but that had zero impact on my stay. I’d stay here again.

This is our fourth stay at this property and our next visit is already booked! You just can’t beat the comfort and ease of this property. We love this place!

If you’re looking for a perfect beach getaway this is your condo! From management support, to decor and amenities, to location, this condo beats it all. We have been coming to Kiawah every year since I was a baby and recently sold our own single bedroom condo in Mariners Watch. We were looking to find a larger space to share with my brother and his family to continue our family’s Kiawah traditions. The experience was exactly what we had hoped for and more! This condo was the perfect set up for us, and the layout even afforded our families with some privacy despite sharing a condo. When you walk into the condo, you’re immediately impressed by the classy beachy decor and upscale (but still family friendly) space. It’s open concept was great and there were so many spaces to hang out, eat, and have family time. It was easy to keep clean and was stocked with everything we could need. The views are just breathtaking and felt surreal every day I took them in. The porch was a wonderful alternative hangout space with a natural cool breeze and a porch swing and rocking chairs. The accessibility to the beach was perfection and we were only seconds walk away from the access. Management was extremely responsive and met every request we had. They were very timely and helpful anytime we needed something. We will absolutely be renting this condo again. I never thought that we’d beat our old place, but I’m so relieved we found a new place to make memories as a family. I have zero complaints or unmet expectations of this condo. I recommend it 100% without reservation.

We love this rental and plan to return. The location is amazing. Open the windows at night to fall asleep to the sound of waves crashing on the beach, which is literally just across the dune. Also loved the modern and beachy vibe inside the rental, and central location right across from night heron park.

Only negative would be no blinds in kitchen, eating and living room areas. Being the first floor, you are in a fish bowl at night with any foot traffic.

We had a wonderful stay at the condo. Excellent location, super close to the beach, absolutely lovely, comfortable, peaceful sea breezes and lots of views of the ocean. It felt like home.

My husband and I stayed at this property for a quick February vacation and enjoyed it immensely. The property was very clean and ideally located. The view is even better than the pictures suggest! Would definitely stay here again.

We could not have been happier with this property. The location was excellent. The property was clean and well-stocked with supplies. The villa was bigger than we expected and fit our family of four (with two teenagers) perfectly. This property is well-deserving of its 5-star rating.

We stayed here for the half marathon and the location was perfect. Walkable to the Sanctuary and a short drive to the market and right on the beach. It was great to be able to hear, see and smell the ocean from our porch. Great trip!

Lovely home right on the beach. The home was immaculate, and very cozy. Everything you could want was available. All linens, towels, blankets, etc. very upscale and likely new - a very, very nice touch. The owners were extremely responsive to a few questions we had. All in all, a fabulous find!! We definitely will rent this home again.

We had a great time at this lovely villa! The view is amazing and it is literally just steps away from the beach. Hearing the ocean was wonderful! The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen was well-stocked. Freshfields Village nearby has a great supermarket as well as many dining options. Christy is very easy to communicate with and had great suggestions for things to do. Kiawah Island is so beautiful and historic Charleston is only 45 minutes away.
