We enjoyed our stay. Host was very responsive with questions. Nice central location for the parks and volunteering at Best Friends. At one point we were seven people, and accommodations were a little snug, but we made it work! Thanks for hosting.

We are a group of 3 middle-aged women staying in Kanab mostly to volunteer at the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary - so a good rest is essential. The Poppy House has very comfortable beds, is scrupulously clean and has a wonderful lawn in the back with a patio where you can read a book or host a few friends. The appliances seemed new and worked really well. The kitchen is well-appointed, so you can cook a meal when you want to, although the Poppy House is within easy walking distance of several restaurants. I will gladly stay there again when I feel the itch to visit Best Friends again.

Loved the large fenced backyard for our pups. We also appreciated the furniture coverings as I am sure the property manager does also. I liked the older, pioneer era, feel of the house although it’s been updated with all the modern conveniences. It’s centrally located near heart of town. We would definitely stay again.

We had a wonderful time at the Poppy House. We were in town to volunteer at Best Friends, but it also happened to coincide with the Balloons and Tunes festival and we were just half a block away from the fair. The house was very cozy and warm through some cold nights and snowy weather (seriously, I wish our windows were as good as the windows here!) and perfectly stocked for everything we needed. Everything in town is about 5 minutes away and less than 10 minutes to Best Friends. We were planning to bring an overnight dog home with us from Best Friends and let Ginger know ahead of time. When we got there, the house was already prepped with covers on the couches and a nice bench with blankets and things for the dogs. Overall we had a great time and hope to stay again in the future. Thank you Ginger for all your help and consideration during our stay!

This home was perfect for us! The location is in a quiet neighborhood and close to the parks, hiking trails, and attractions we wanted to visit. Communication with the owner was on point - including a last-minute message that might change how we packed. The large, fenced yard was great for our family and our dog. The beds were comfortable and clean. The kitchen was well-stocked for preparing our own meals. We would definitely recommend this to family and friends, and we will stay again when in the area. A wonderful cottage a short walk to Downtown Kanab. Quiet neighborhood. HUGE grassy fenced backyard that our 2 pups totally enjoyed! The Poppy House has the most complete House Guide we have seen to date. Every question answered, tons of info on sight seeing, hiking, restaurants, etc. We brought our own firepit with us (approved by owner) and enjoyed our evenings under the stars. A lovely neighborhood with ZERO light pollution. We will keep this one our short list so we can stay again if we get back to this area. Thank you Ginger for sharing your Poppy House!!

We had a code enter home no problems easy location to zion and Bryce and several other attractions. Had a great time looking forward to coming back again

The property was as expected with all amenities listed. We had an issue with the AC not functioning properly. Since we arrived at 8:00 pm we slept with the windows open as the desert night air cooled the house interior. I emailed the owner that morning and within 30 minutes she had arranged for the AC repair company to service our rental. By midday we had full AC. No other issues occurred. The kitchen was well stocked, The back fenced yard and covered raised deck were great for our dog and dining al fresco. The beds were comfortable for all my family members. The home was in walking distance to a nice multi-use city park and Kanab hiking trail system. We could also walk to nearby restaurants and shops. It is a great place to come home to after full day trips to the surrounding national parks of Bryce Canyon, Zion, and the Grand Canyon. Multiple Utah attractions are close as well but we did not have enough time to explore those options. I would recommend staying at this home.

The Poppy House was the perfect hime base for exploring Zion and Bryce. The house was well equipped and comfortable and the yard was perfect for the dog.

The property was clean and nice. We enjoyed having the downstairs area with our kids. The yard was fantastic and we even used the hot tub. Ginger was very responsive and a wonderful host. Only issue was the AC stopped working in the middle of the night and, despite Ginger’s efforts we had to go without for a couple nights due to the holiday weekend. There were a lot of fans but the temp got up to 82 inside at night which wasn’t very comfy. I’m sure she will have it fixed for the next guest. I would still highly recommend Ginger and her properties, which should say a lot.

We have stayed at this house twice and absolutely love it! The backyard is an oasis with a wonderful hot tub and lots of room for your furry friends to run around. The house is clean, has comfortable beds and all the amenities you need whether for a weekend visit or a week vacation. The location is ideal for walking to the shops and restaurants in downtown Kanab. We will definitely be back!

My husband and I celebrated our 20th anniversary in Kanab and explored Bryce Canyon and nearby sites. The beds are comfortable and the shower was powerful. This was perfect for us and the dogs. There's a big back yard with 2 gated areas for the dogs and in the house there's a door that separates the kitchen from the living room which is perfect for keeping the dogs separated from the rest of the house. The house sleeps like 8 people and there was a big basement area we didn't even use. Next time we will bring more people with us. Can't wait to go back!

The Poppy House was very cute and clean. Ideal location near downtown, easy to find and quiet neighborhood. Well stock home with nice toiletries, great hair dryer and many pillow options. Beds were comfortable and wifi worked well. Would definitely recommend to others.

We had a nice stay at the house, it was a little bit of a funky layout for our family but I think it could be a nice house if people needed individual space for different groups.

This house exceeded our expectations with a gorgeous backyard! The deck and backyard was where we spent most of our time at the house. Perfect location for all our parks in and around Kanab. Would recommend this to our friends with pets. Our dog loved the backyard.

We were here with two tweens and two dogs. The property is perfect -- you can walk to the skate park or local trails, and it's accessible to lots of other outdoor adventures. The backyard is perfect for dogs, and the house is very cozy -- the beds were super comfy.

I looked at other properties when choosing the best location, and my main reason for choosing the Poppy House was the large backyard for our dogs. And it was a great choice. The backyard is VERY large, and my dogs loved playing outside. There is also an outside cattery if you are traveling with your feline friend, which is very nice. The house is obviously dog friendly as the couches had very nice removable dog covers. The house is on a nice street, close to downtown. You can walk everywhere if you want. The electronic keypad on the door made for easy check-in and entry throughout or stay.We only used the upstairs as it was just the two of us, but I peaked downstairs, and the downstairs bedroom is huge.The house had all the amenities you will need to make large meals. There is a propane BBQ in the back yard. Ginger sent a detailed list of all appliances and utensils in the kitchen prior to our arrival, which was great so that I didn't bring things that were already provided. The internet is very good, and I was able to easily work each morning. Kanab is a great town, and we spent the entire week hiking. If you can make the drive, visit the White Pocket. It is hands down the most interesting place I have ever been. I will return, and I will stay at the Poppy House again. I definitely recommend!

The home was great, and super convenient to the downtown area. We went for the annual balloon festival. We were less than a half block from the festivities.

It was my third time staying at Poppy House & every time has been awesome. I’ll be back!

I stayed at this house with my Mom and Brother over 4th of July weekend. The house is great and you couldn’t ask for a better backyard especially if you are bringing any dogs with you on your trip. Perfect location, excellent communication with Ginger. Will definetly look to book this house again on my next trip.

Excellent house. We stayed there as a family of 4 with our 2 dogs. Plenty of room for everyone. Huge backyard. Excellent location.

The house was perfectly situated near trailheads and local amenities. The kitchen was very well equipped, as we were able to make birthday cakes and complex dishes without having to purchase pans or cooking excessories like measures. A great setup for families, since there is a seperate downstairs, complete with bath, sitting/viewing areas etc. Last, if you are coming to Kanab to volunteer at Best Friends, the owner has outfitted the house with toys, leashes, blankets etc.

Love the Poppy House!! It is very clean, and comfortable. The weather was perfect, cool at night and in the morning and perfect in the afternoon. The house stays cool and we rarely had to use the heater! We took our furgirls and they loved the backyard. The fenced yard is a huge plus for furbabies. This is our 2nd trip to Kanab but our first (and not last) to the Poppy House. Loved the kitchen, has everything you need to cook a meal. Kanab is really a great location to see the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon & Zion National Park. WE loved going to these beautiful locations. The town of Kanab is very nice, you can walk everywhere if you want. Everyone was friendly! Can’t wait for our next trip!
