Our extended family of ten had a fabulous stay at The Legacy! From the moment we walked through the door, we felt comfortable and at home. The property is well maintained and well-appointed with comfortable seating, beds and bedding. The kitchen is extremely well equipped and it was so nice to have paper towels, TP, bags, soaps, spices etc to use if wanted. The adage use a little, leave a little was so refreshing. We have stayed at many properties over the years and none have been as well equipped. The owners have thought of everything and strived to make our stay carefree. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool, bikes, beach and pool toys, equipment, chairs and everything needed for outdoor fun. We cooked multiple meals in the kitchen with ease, used the grill, wonderful decks, chairs and conversation areas. There was plenty of room to gather as a family and space to also enjoy a bit of time alone if that is what you wanted. The neighborhood is quiet and the house is wonderfully convenient to the beach access. Literally three houses away! The owners were extremely responsive throughout the booking stage and during our stay including helpful tips for activities, shopping and dining. We had an absolutely wonderful week and our entire family said they would definitely stay at The Legacy again!! House was great! Easy walk to the beach and a wonderful pool. House was very clean and had lots of kitchen appliances, plates, pots. Furnishings were great and everything was comfortable. Great stuff for the beach and pool supplied-making it very easy to have a fantastic and seamless beach vacation. I would definitely go back! Absolutely no complaints!

The attention to detail of the home, furnishings, and toward our "experience" was fantastic. Our family thought it was the best vacation house where we have stayed, and we have been to a bunch of them through the years. We are happy to have reunited the family in such a comfortable, spacious, and relaxing environment. We would recommend to others.

Great location, convenient to beach, beer garden, lighthouse. Well appointed. Ages 7 mos, 2 years, 30 somethings to retirees. This house has something for everyone1 And 2nd refrigerator was awesome!

Beautiful and well-appointed home, just steps to a gorgeous beach. Everything needed (or wanted!) to fully enjoy our stay was included with the rental-- beach chairs, sand toys, bikes, boogie boards, umbrellas, etc. Plenty of space in the house with wonderful areas to gather as a family, indoors and outside. Owners provided thoughtful hospitality and excellent communication. Truly a dream property.

This house was perfection!!! Steps to the ocean- pool, hottub, lounge spaces and more! The pictures dont do this house justice. It was absutely perfect for our group! So much space for adults and little ones! We did not have one complaint from start to finish. Every room is stocked with everything you need- all you have to do is show up! One of the best houses we’ve ever stayed in! 100% recommend !

This was a family gathering celebrating our parents 60th anniversary. The cottage was fantastic with many different, comfortable seating areas. The game room, pool and hot tub were enjoyed by all. It was a quick, safe walk to the beach which we could see from the decks. The house was clean, well maintained and nicely decorated. We felt at home immediately. What' an amazing place to to gather with family and friends. The cottage was beautiful and spacious, tastefully appointed, with comfortable conversation areas for catching up around every corner. The generously stocked professional kitchen was a hit with all the cooks in the family and large enough for multiple people to enjoy preparing memorable meals together. We were celebrating our parents 60th anniversary and the hosts left a thoughtful and delicious gift in honor of them. We enjoyed the bikes and beach accessories provided as well as the games, puzzles, and books available to us. The house was located close to the uncrowded beach, yet not far from grocery stores, markets, and shops. The cottage allowed everyone to return home with many great memories of our moments together.

The house is beautiful and well appointed with everything we needed to make ourselves at home. The beach is very close. The pool and hot tub plus all the extras in the game room kept us happily occupied. Our one complaint- time flew too quickly! Terrific host family!

We have rented many homes in OBX and this home was truly one of a kind. So many unique details that are reminiscent of a New England vacation home. The home is fully stocked with anything and everything you can imagine, from the kitchen, to bathrooms, board games and pool and beach gear. You also cannot beat the location. Super short walk down to the beautiful beach as well as walking distance to coffee, pizza, ice cream and even a beer garden! We spent every evening enjoying cocktails on the massive patio and dinners in the screened in porch watching the moon rise over the ocean. We had an amazing stay and hope to book again for next year soon!

Our stay at the legacy was great! The property was very clean and it had everything you needed. The kitchen was fully stocked with every kitchen gadget. The beach was just a short walk away. There was plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas and toys. There was also plenty of bikes for everyone too! Terri was super nice and was quick to respond if there was an issue. We all had such a blast. My kids can not wait to go back!!

The Legacy provided us with nearly everything we could ask for. A short walk to a beautiful beach. An excellent pool/hot tub with games for winding down the beach day. We really enjoyed utilizing all the kitchen supplies to grill and cook family dinners each night, trying out all the different porches and chairs to fully experience the house and it’s thoughtfulness. The only item I would suggest addressing is the bath towels, as they were kind of mediocre, and we ended up just buying our own. Thanks for a great trip and I would highly recommend the Legacy. Nate

We loved staying at the Legacy, it is the most equipped beach house we have ever stayed at. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need and more, and there were beach chairs, umbrellas, and bikes. Terri was always available for quick questions and made us feel very welcomed and special. We love the Legacy and highly recommend it!

The house did not disappoint and had everything you could need or want for an amazing beach vacation! From the bikes to the pool toys, we were SET! The house is conveniently located near shops and restaurants in Corolla-my husband and I walked to the Beer Garden a few nights. It was such a pleasant stay!

The Legacy never felt like a beach rental. Instead, it felt like returning to a beloved family home. Everything was immaculate and very well maintained. It's nautical decor was lovely. A roomy floor plan with multiple decks and screened-in porch combined for a very spacious house. Bedrooms were large, beds comfy, and modern baths. Lots of seating in the main rooms. And the kitchen! Every type of pot, pan, utensil, and appliance. We enjoyed grilling and eating poolside, and we also had fun trying many restaurants in town. The gorgeous beach is just two houses away. There is a wagon to pull all the provided beach chairs, boogie boards, skim boards, fishing poles, spike ball set, etc. Keep on walking down the beach, you may see a couple wild mustangs! Terri was a pleasure to work with. She promptly returned. calls/emails and answered all questions. It's evident she loves her home! We look forward to returning to The Legacy and more family reunions in the future!

We loved this house! It was super clean, well-maintained, cleverly layed-out and nicely-furnished. We liked the kitchen & living room on the middle level, with most bedrooms on the top floor, and lots of bathrooms. There were plenty of spaces for a large group to gather inside or outside, or for people to separate and have some privacy. We had a great view of the ocean from the middle and top floors. This home was well stocked with everything guests could want - every possible pot, pan & kitchen gadget, plenty of pool floats & toys, bikes, beach chairs, boards & beach toys. The neighborhood was private and quiet, yet very close to shops and restaurants. The owners were always available and super helpful with reminders and suggestions. We wish we could have stayed longer. We would love to stay at this home in the future!

Very clean, very pleasant stay. Close to the beach. kitchen has every possible supply you could think of. pool toy closet has lots of fun items for the kids including boogie boards. Also lots of chairs for adults. overall house has a fantastic layout for multiple families. we enjoyed our stay!

My family and I just finished our stay at the Legacy and it was absolutely wonderful! Not only is it a beautiful home but it was appointed with just about everything you would need! Everything about this rental was wonderful. From initial contact with the owners until check out, communication was prompt and positive. The home itself... I can’t even begin to describe how incredible it is. The description is accurate. There are seriously no amenities these owners have not thought of. The kitchen was the most well appointed kitchen we have ever had with a vacation rental. I prefer to cook when on beach vacations rather than eat out and I did not find myself wishing for a single item that was not found in this kitchen! The pool area is amazing with lots of seating, lounge chairs and tables for food and drinks. So many pool toys! We all loved how many umbrellas this home had for shade! It seemed like many properties around us were really lacking shady areas near their pools. The hot tub is very large and maintained a great temperature! There is a bathroom and fridge on the ground level right off the pool area which was so nice and convenient. Also, many under deck shaded sitting areas to read and visit! The outdoor showers were wonderful with hot water! Our kids preferred showering out there at the end of everyday rather than using the inside showers so they could come in clean at the end of a long day at the beach and pool. The screened in porches were so nice. We enjoyed eating dinners out there without bugs swarming. There are SO MANY outdoor places to visit. This is a great home for a large gathering. There were only 6 of us, and so many beds went unused and we kept finding ourselves wishing we had brought family and friends with us to the beach just to share the amazing space. The location is fabulous! It is so much quieter up in Corolla than where we typically stay down in KDH and Nagshead. You can sit on the porch and see the ocean and it was a quick 1 minute walk to the beach. Zero entry to the sand with no stairs or gates to have to navigate. The beach bucket, beach umbrellas, chairs and toys provided meant we did not have to pack and bring ANYTHING with us besides our clothing. The game room was so much fun for evenings! The foosball and arcade were a big hit with my husband and kids. This home is so clean and so beautiful. I really feel like the photos do not do it justice! We had such an amazing week at a rental house that really felt like home! We are already talking about when we can come back!
