We loved it from the moment we entered the property. That back deck area was fabulous - so very relaxing day and night. There was easy access to swimming and exploring the beach. Our little granddaughters were happy beyond measure. We just didn’t want to leave!

We enjoyed the stay and it was everything and more than we expected. Sue was great to deal with and the location was idealistic.

The property is well maintained with a lovely entry as a first impression. The internal space was well appointed with a spacious deck over looking the water. The Host was very welcoming & considerate. Would stay again.

Had our second lovely stay at villa macleay.

Such an amazing place for kids to come holiday. Calm, shallow waters right out your backdoor. The kids loved jumping off the kayak's.

We needed a venue that could accommodate our family for my sons wedding. Plenty of room, had everything we needed. Location was perfect scenery ever changing, and beautiful. Highly recommend, Superb

The house was perfect. Such a pretty spot both in the day and especially at sunset. We weren’t even bothered by mossies! Plenty of room for the extended family to come together for meals and activities or to spread out and spend time in smaller groups or individually playing games, reading, eating and relaxing. We loved having the use of the surf skis and took several adventures on them. The property was easy to get to...the ferry service was efficient and professional. We took our bikes and found that there was a path beside the road all the way into town and beyond which was great for safe family riding. Sue was extremely easy and pleasant to deal with. She even went out of her way to help with sourcing some equipment we needed on the Island, which turned it to be perfect for us and we are very grateful. We hope to can back again for another holiday or ten.

You will need a car if you plan on going to the grocery store.

This was our second stay at Villa Macleay and as before it is a great house that has everything you need for your holiday. Waking up to the water lapping at back fence and the sound of birds is so relaxing. Lots of things to do or just relax on the deck and watch the water. Sue and Peter are very friendly hosts who make sure all your needs are catered for. Will definitely be back soon.

Easy and quick

We had a wonderful 5 nights in this house. It is even more beautiful than the photos suggest. The location and easy access to the beach are amazing. The kids really enjoyed using the kayaks supplied, in the still water which is in view of the house. The house is beautifully maintained and has everything you need to self-cater. The house easily sleeps 9 as advertised. Macleay island itself is also well equipped, with a good supermarket at reasonable prices, and a few options of places to eat out. We thoroughly enjoyed our time away with 2 families together. We plan to return.

We had an amazing holiday at Villa Macleay. The house we perfectly situated in front of a quiet calm beach. It was perfect for the kids. There is a lot of sea life, sting rays, turtles swimming around. The villa has two kayaks that were great for further exploring. The house itself was great for entertaining. We spent most of the time on the large deck looking out at the ocean. Overall we had one of the best family holidays ever. It has everything to cater for kids and adults. I would highly recommend visiting and staying at the Villa.

Exceptionally well stocked for a holiday home, could not have asked for anything more. From the sand bucket at the bottom of the steps to the coffee plunger in the kitchen EVERYTHING has been considered. Our hosts were on site to greet us and made us feel very welcome. The location is outstanding and encourages plenty of beach time at both high and low tide. The kids were stoked to have a go at the surf kayaks and have free access to the beach all day every day. The deck is unbeatable for an all day and everchanging view. And the outlook from the bedrooms upstairs is simply wonderful. Highly recommended accommodation choice 👍🏻

Our extended family hasn’t seen each other for some time and we chose Villa Macleay for our reunion. We followed Sue’s easy instructions and caught the barge to the island. As we drove in to the property, it took our breath away! The place is immaculate and we barely left the deck over the next three days. It was so wonderful to watch our two children chase soldier crabs on the beach and be safe and happy whilst we watched them from the deck. The BBQ on the deck

We thought enjoyed our stay. Excellent facilities, great location with the most amazing views. We can't wait to go back. Weather was great which allows us to enjoy the great outdoor area.
