Our "Framily" (friends & family) had the absolute best vacation last week! The house and pool were very clean. The house was equipped with everything that we needed and more. The property is very convenient to many restaurants, beaches, shops, grocery stores, etc. We loved fishing off the dock, nightly pool time, and enjoyed the beaches and things to do nearby! I didn't know there were so many chickens in the FL Keys, but we loved them! David was wonderful to work with and quick to answer any questions we had! Would defiantly recommend!

Upon arrival we realized the house did not contain basic supplies needed to meet the requirements of checkout and quality of stay for the price. There was no toilet paper, trash bags, spray cleaner, (so we purchased all for our stay), and most of the remotes did not have batteries. There were 8 bath towels for 8 people. When I reached out to David he was quick to respond, and someone dropped off more towels the next day. Nothing else was addressed. We changed the air filter that was so caked with dust and dirt. Many of the curtains, and fixtures such as bath faucet and toilet paper holder were falling off the wall. One bath tub had half a glass door and the curtain had to be rigged to keep from leaking water out while showering. The front yard had multiple trash cans and an old toilet sitting for pickup. We placed the trashcans on the road line for pickup per instructions and the toilet was still there when we left. I do not feel new renters should be dealing with previous renters trash. The location and neighbors were nice and the house had nice amenities such as dock, and pool. Overall we had a pleasant experience but there is some work to be done as well as management issues for the price paid.

We had a wonderful family vacation with our kids. Marathon is our go to spot for vacation every year and this year we decided to rent a house that we’d never rented before. It was very clean and check in was very easy. The house itself is located very conveniently on the island to all amenities. We have children with a very big age gap and there was something to do for all of them. The only issues that we had with the property was there was no door to the master bedroom. The 2nd bedroom, located on the first floor, didn’t have a properly fitting door to the bedroom so there wasn’t any privacy. Which, I didn’t even think to ask, but that’s my mistake. Otherwise, the pool is great for the kids and it was a breeze to access the ocean with our boat. The house was fully stocked with kitchenware and all appliances. I would recommend bringing a playpen if you have little ones. We had a great time and really enjoyed our week. There was room for everyone and different spots outside, if you needed a break. The neighborhood is very quiet with a police station and ER a couple of streets away. Everyone in Marathon is very friendly and helpful. It’s so beautiful and peaceful. We visit yearly to catch up with our adult kids and just have everyone together before school starts up again.

The house is very nice and very comfortable. However there's a large hidden sandbar in the harbor just outside the canal that you have to turn into to get to the house. It is virtually unmarked and locals say boaters commonly run aground there. We ran aground and got stuck and incurred $2,000 in damage to our boat.

Plenty of room with two living rooms and the bedrooms were spacious too! Enjoyed catching/releasing a 7 ft tarpon right off of the dock! The manatees visited us many times during our visit. Just a wonderful stay! We will be back!

This is our second time staying at this property in the last five years. We enjoyed it both times. However, I could tell this time around, five years after our first time, that the property needs a bit sprucing up. Nothing major just maybe some paint touchups, new or reupholstered barstools in the kitchen and some new outdoor furniture. But it’s definitely a very nice property and we had a great time.

Enjoyed the pool, dick and proximity to many activities. The Cuban food, La Niña, close by was divine.

This property is truly paradise, very clean, updated and spacious, easy check-in, the pool was a hit every evening. The beds were comfortable, each bedroom had its own bathroom. We used the kayaks as much as possible. We saw a manatee off the deck, which was delightful!! We did lots of tourist things and ate at all the surrounding restaurants, never a dull moment or lack of things to do nearby. We would rent here again and again! Thoroughly enjoyed!!

Marathon is my favorite place to be. This house is located on a great canal. The harbor helps protect against overflow of sea grass. Coming back in November.

We enjoyed this house! They had everything we needed to make our trip great. The manatee came to see us each afternoon, that was cool!

There were six of us and we absolutely loved this place. We got the relaxation and fun we hoped for. Felt very private in the neighborhood— pool was great to cool down and lounge around. Saw manatees, sharks, loads of fish… enjoyed coffee everyone morning on back dock. We would rent again and recommend it!! Lisa S. And her FUCC crew… celebrating life!

Great house!

This was a nice place to stay. It was spacious and comfortable. The swimming pool is small but it was nice to sit in and cool off. There is a nice deck on the canal side where you can sit and relax. We saw a few fish and hoped to see a manatee but the neighbors saw one the day we went to the beach. The location was good & was close to a few of the restaurants that we enjoyed!

Our host Dave was excellent! He was easy to communicate with right from the beginning of the booking process! We had a few snags and Dave responded immediately and he even sent the property manager over to check a few things out & fix a couple of issues. We were pleased w her quick response. Our host was also willing to please. He did his best to rectify some of our concerns. We loved the location it was right on the water. We always felt safe. We saw Pelicans, Iguanas and Manatee’s. We rented a boat and was able to dock it right at the house. We also used the kayaks and tried our hand at fishing and crabbing. The house was very nice. The entire main level has all been refurbished and is very attractive and comfortable. there was plenty of room to spread out in. The upstairs bedroom and bath are fine but in need of updating. We were told that was on the agenda. All the beds were very comfortable and we slept good! A few things needed attention but nothing major. Dave got a list of concerns which we know he’ll address or has addressed already. The swimming pool was super warm & clean and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We wanted to go bicycling but the bikes were all rusty. We texted Dave and he bought 4 brand new bikes that were delivered while we were there. We never got to use them but they will be nice for future renters. He also got new pots and pans, wine glasses and a variety of towels. All very nice!! We hope to go again! Thanks Dave

We stayed for 3 weeks with family and friends. The boat slip was plenty large enough for our 23' fishing boat (rented from Coco's) and parking out front was good for two vehicles. The house was a little dirty when we came in, but we checked in on the Cuban New Year, so it may have been a one-off. We called to request hand towels and washcloths, because we didn't have any in the house and the cleaning service was back within an hour to drop them off. The view of the channel was nice and there was a manatee there nearly every day. The area wasn't loud or rambunctious, we were able to relax in the evenings on the outdoor couch and see lots of stars. We saw Sergent Majors and Barricuda right from the dock. The lights under the dock weren't working. The cleaning lady said that they were knocked out by the recent storm. The pool was very warm, and we enjoyed it most days. We were even able to practice our skills for scuba certification in it, before heading out to the reef to complete those. Overall, it was a nice place to stay. The property owner was extremely responsive to our needs and helped us through a few things. Would recommend for a larger group of people staying together.

One of the nicest places in the Keys where we have stayed. Highly recommended. Hope to be back.

The house is well laid out for bigger families and the location is perfect for fishing and exploring! The little heated pool is great.

The house was just as described and perfect for our family. It’s up to date and has plenty of space for our family of 6. We enjoyed having the pool and the dock on the rear. My son loved fishing at the dock everyday! We even took the kayaks and it was easy to get them in and out of the water. The house is perfectly equipped with everything we needed.

This property was awesome. The location was great and the house was very clean. The beds were very comfortable. My family and I had an amazing stay at this property in Marathon.

Lovely, large home with plenty of room to spread out. Each bedroom had it's own bathroom and plenty of hot water. Boat dock was very convenient with easy access to snorkeling and fishing. Saw the manatee everyday! We enjoyed our stay very much and highly recommend it.

David's place is great! Pool was great. Also had different areas to sun and shade for your preference. The boat dock is awesome if you have a boat, easy ride out to ocean or gulf. Would definetely stay here again!

David was a great host. He was always quickly responsive with answers to my questions. The house was nicely decorated and everything in great condition. It offered everything we were looking for.....dock for our boat, comfortable living areas(which we weren't there often), all the items needed, easy access to the water and the refreshing pool! Thanks David for a great stay..... our only issue was having to leave at a 9am checkout, that was rough LOL !! Great place and would recommend to anyone.

This was a great rental. We loved the house’s location. We were right down the road from the dock we went fishing from everyday. It was close to grocery store, shopping, and ice cream shop. The owner set us to a Fantastic charter boat company. We caught lots of fish. I had one issue with sink, contacted him through Vrbo chat and he called immediately. The problem was my fault turned, I turned the knob off. He was able to identify the problem right away. Overall great place to stay.

The house is just as described. There was nothing we felt we needed, everything was there. When it was too hot late in the day, the boys swam in the pool and we sat in the shade. The canal is wonderful. We saw manatee every day, big fish and the teenager saw dolphins while he kayaked in the harbor. It is a quiet neighborhood. The pool is small but very nice to have. I was glad it was heated, but I don't think the boys would have cared if it wasn't. The location is great. We liked Marathon a lot. Two large grocery stores, the turtle hospital, fly fishing guide, off shore charter and snorkeling tour all in town. There were plenty of towels and sheets and lots of cleaning supplies-- I didn't know this and bought more. Parking for one car was perfect. Not sure if a second car would fit. We liked the privacy the stone wall gave us in the pool. My mom said she wished we could have spent more time at the house, on the canal. She really loved that. It was a great house for the 6 of us.

We enjoyed our stay at this property. Our children enjoyed trying paddle boards and kayaks. There are many animals to see in that area, which we liked. Boat docking was easy, it just took some time to get through the harbor every time we wanted to take the boat out. The house had everything we needed and the communication with the owner was very good.

Stayed at the Jamaican between Christmas and New Years Day. Had a great time and the house has everything + what the pictures show you. Very comfortable and clean accommodations. The owner David thought of everything to make your vacation a memorable one. He also responded to my texts within minutes when I had a question which was great. Great location - caught a ton of fish from his dock at the back of the house. He also has an outdoor freezer to keep your bait. The dock is perfect for bringing your boat or just use his kayaks, or bikes. I was able to fish and watch Bowl games at the same time. Plenty of TV's downstairs and in each bedroom. For shopping Publix and Winn Dixie are right down the road and prices were the same or better there than what my Publix and Winn Dixie charge. Highly recommended vacation property.

Beautiful Home in a great location. There was something for everyone here. The owner provides paddle boards, canoes and bikes and it has a heated pool. The home also has two sitting areas to watch TV and two of the bed rooms also had TVs. It was just a short walking distance to some restaurants and bars and the grocery store is also near by. Sombrero beach is quick to get to. Our whole family agreed we would definetly love to stay here again.

Location could not be better with access to the water and great places to eat. Property was great and pool was better!
