If you love an adventure, this is for you! So many interesting things to see. The cabin is rustic farm house. Kitchen is well equipped. We traveled back and forth to Yosemite with ease. Groveland is a cute little town to visit. We went to Sonora as well. Nice shopping there. We had a fantastic time at the cabin. We loved feeding the horses apples and carrots with permission from the host. It was our daily routine. Our weather wasn’t great so we didn’t get to enjoy a lot of outdoor activities at the ranch. Our last day the power was out due to the storm, so it was cold. My only suggestion, would be a generator for those times when there isn’t power.

Driving up on the mountaintop for evening sunsets. All the necessities that were provided for our stay, except for one thing that was missing, (A regular coffeemaker). Other than those little bumps in the road we enjoyed a good night's rest after our 3 days of hiking in Yosemite. Groveland has some nice shops & restaurants as well. The owner has been kind enough to compensate us for the 1 sleepless night we spent without air which was nice. Would we stay there again, YOU BET WE WOULD.

I loved the location and the area. Beautiful place to stay. About 40 minute drive to Yosemite North Entrance and 1 hour and 30 minutes to Yosemite village. The drive dose not seem to long as the views are amazing. Groveland is nice little town close to the cabin where you can go to some local restaurants or go grocery shopping.

My wife and I chose this cabin as a base to visit Yosemite. Big mistake! The cabin and the ranch are so wonderful that it was hard to convince ourselves to get out and get going. The place is immaculately clean, it's small, but just the right size for two people, impressively well stocked and designed with great attention to smallest details. Not only decor, even the books seem to be carefully selected and I enjoyed browsing Ansel Adam's album and read about Hetch Hetchy history. We felt recharged after two nights here as if we came back from a week long vacation. I do hope we'll be able to come back and enjoy the cabin soon!

What an amazing experience this was for us! Being in the middle of a legit cattle ranch provided the much-needed break from the daily grind that we were seeking. We were definitely grateful for the full immersion into nature that we were able to experience at the Homestead while simultaneously being pampered with every high-end creature-comfort one could desire from a shelter. The stars at night were breathtaking after the beautiful sunsets, and the well-appointed kitchen was utterly delightful to putter around in the morning after a luxurious night's sleep on the incredibly comfortable king bed. We will definitely be back again and again. I can not recommend this experience highly enough.

Of all the places we have stayed, this cabin is at the top of our list! This property exceeded our expectations in so many ways. The bed was comfortable and as others have mentioned the cabin is very well stocked. We enjoyed a few steaks cooked over fire in the outdoor kitchen along with cocktails on the deck. The sunset from the ridge was incredible. We came for Yosemite but found ourselves spending a whole day at the ranch doing "nothing". Thanks Natalie for sharing this wonderful place with us!

This little cabin is an absolute gem. Great interior design and details. The kitchen is really well equipped, and the whole cabin is immaculately clean. The setting on the ranch is gorgeous. If this sounds like a lot of superlatives it's because this little cabin is so superb.

The guest book basically said it all - leather-bound in a custom made covering, the words from basically everyone complimented how much thought has gone into this place. I couldn't agree more. The cabin is charming, the bed is comfortable, the kitchen is fully stocked, the bathroom has everything you need. We enjoyed being close to nature and away from other people, as well as the chance to just relax for a few days. I would recommend this to any couple looking for a nice get away, and the proximity to Yosemite was just an added bonus. Thanks Natalie!

We enjoyed listening to the cows' moos and their cowbells throughout the day. Also got to pet some horses just a few steps from the cabin and we really enjoyed sunset views from cocktail ridge. The cabin was well-appointed for its size. The kitchen is very well-stocked, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and comfortable. I gave cleanliness 4/5 though as the cabin was a little dusty but I guess that is to be expected considering the location. We also enjoyed the outdoor deck and BBQ for meals and for WFH.

This place is excellent. When it says explore the ranch, I think it undermines the vast expanse of things to do on the ranch. This is a place to stay and relax, explore! I saw lots of people stayed here for Yosemite. I would strongly encourage time at location!

Our stay at the cabin was pure joy. The property managers are incredibly thoughtful and the attention to detail is superb. Everything we could ever want and way more was there waiting for us, which made us feel cared for and special. What were these details? An amazing coffee bar with all the appliances and delicious coffees you could want. All sorts of cooking appliances- a kitchen aid mixer, a waffle iron. I didn't even know I needed waffles on this getaway weekend until we saw that waffle iron. Beautiful candles. Different sets of dishes for outdoor dining vs. indoor. The mix of luxury and rustic details was unparalleled. Thank you Natalie and John!! The ambiance itself is so relaxing and refreshing and restoring to the soul. We needed a covid getaway to escape from the world and driving to the ranch and up to the cabin provided exactly that. It felt like entering into another, simpler and at the same time more decadent world. We had planned to visit Yosemite, but it was closed the weekend we were there because of earlier weather conditions. We didn't even miss it! We ended up hiking the property, and petting the horses, and sitting out on the deck talking and relaxing. Stay here!!! We cannot wait to go back for our next trip. Counting down the days.....

This place is a hidden gem off the beaten path of Highway 120. You are in a private, secluded, cabin in the woods. Surrounded by grazing cattle and horses. The cabin has awesome amenities and is such a nice retreat away from city life. The host is great and very responsive. We will definitely be returning in the future.
