The mattress, sheets and linens were 5 star luxurious and incredibly comfortable. I fell asleep instantly. The grounds were beautiful and lush with grasses, flowers and trees everywhere.

A small night light in the bathroom would be helpful. Breakfast room service was discontinued during the Covid lockdown and has not resumed.

Charming facility in a beautiful area. Having our own little cottage was wonderful.

Climate control was broken and cold air ran continuously. The front desk attendant came to check it out and mentioned that it was a known problem. No offer to change rooms. Our room was about 60 degrees all night and we couldn't sleep. At check out the next morning, they offered a 15% discount on the room rate. I said that was too little and was told the owner would call me. She didn't. Two days later, they called to offer a 25% discount. Still short. A serious lack of training and no focus on customer service. Very disappointed since we had booked the one night there as a special getaway on a longer trip.

Room was dated, poorly laid out, and not terribly comfortable. The cost was not aligned to the quality of experience.

We have been coming to the Montchanin Inn for years because of its bucolic setting, and its lovely rooms and suites that allow you to truly escape into elegant luxury. We love the onsite restaurant, and the wide range of wonderful attractions nearby including Winterthur, Longwood Gardens, the Delaware Art Museum, and the shops and restaurants of the Greenville and Centreville villages.

The bed in our room was a little firm for my taste. But the amenities are great, and the rooms are always spotless.

Totally unexpected period-furnished two-level suite!

Terrific historical buildings. Room was clean, comfortable and enjoyable to stay in. 14 minutes from Longwood Gardens. Took a trip to Westchester City which was exceptionally. Ate dinner at Antica Restaurant for our anniversary. Was awesome. Great location. The alley with lighting were very cool.

Breakfast was a grab and go. Very minimal.

it is quite dated. it’s one thing to be quaint but I. this case it really does need a makeover (toilet cracked, old tiles, etc). gym only has 1 treadmill
