We rented both levels of this house (separate entrances) for a birthday weekend with 6 couples. The place feels like a treehouse, with big deck and patio, lovely water feature, and Zilker Park across the road. Bedrooms were comfortable, kitchen was well-stocked, and Lisa has done a beautiful job of decorating and creating communal spaces.

With a group gathering for F1 consisting of 3 families with various ages and combinations of couples and singles we needed the flexibility of lots of room/bed combinations. This place provided! Additionally, there were plenty of bathrooms, tableware, seating for everyone. The patio/porches on both upper and lower levels were beautiful, tranquil places to hang out. The extra decorating touches throughout both levels made the place extra special. The host accommodated our varied arrival times by allowing us to check in early and check out late!

Lisa was a wonderful host and available for all the questions we had before and during our stay! Our 15 person multi-generational family reunion loved staying at the property having two separate units to disperse. We loved the location and utilized the kitchens every night for dinner! Would love to stay here again!

Stayed here for my bachelor party of 12 and it did not disappoint. It is a beautiful place in a great location. Lisa (the host) was attentive and wonderful to work with. Everyone of my friends was impressed and commented on how nice it was. We often found ourselves coming back from the daily activities and just sitting in the upstairs living room, enjoying the view. You really can't go wrong here.

The location is unbeatable as described. Easy walk to Barton Springs and Umlauf Sculpture Garden. We had a group of 12 for a family celebration and enjoyed the flexible spaces that allow for both privacy and gathering. Outdoor spaces on both levels. The kitchens are well stocked. Hills between units and going down to street level might be challenging for elderly people. The owner, Lisa, is friendly and communicative. It would have been helpful to know in advance that the rental provides only one bath towel per occupant, no pool or beach towels. If you want to take advantage of local water activities, you may end up washing a lot of towels! Everything else was excellent! Highly recommended.

Great location, great style, great owner big view and porches. Places like this are the definition of how great vacation rentals can be. Don’t hesitate to book this home - it’s everything that you want in an accommodation.

Austin is a great location to visit, and this house was a great place to call home base during our visit. The location is just a short drive from downtown, and the immediate neighborhood is a fantastic place for restaurants, shopping access to the Barton Springs Park, the SoCo shopping district, and more. The house is a two story unit - you can rent one or both floors - we rented both since we had a party of 7 people. The property has been decorated in an eclectic western style, with comfortable beds, good amenities, great social areas, and a good sized kitchen area. Highly recommend!

We had the best stay in Austin! The property was beautiful, clean, and close to everything. Lisa made our stay even more seamless with easy check in/out, excellent recommendations and always making sure everything was working properly. We highly recommend this property as well as the wine tour with Chef Mike and his wife Lori. We enjoyed it thoroughly!

We were a group of 12 who stayed in the house from 26 December to 1 January and had a great time.    Worked out perfectly for our group.  What we liked best about the house; --Location.   So close to everything in Austin.  Zilker Park and hiking, kayaking, biking,  swimming and restaurants.   Only a 20 minute hike to downtown Austin. --Great views over Zilker park--wonderful porch and windows to enjoy the view.   Caution--a new house is being built right in front of this property--it appears that it will block most of the view from the part of the house that is on the first floor.  New house will be under construction for a few more months.   --Well equipped kitchens with everything you need for a large group.  Lots of spices and misc items that you need to cook.   --Very clean and well maintained. --Lisa, the property manager is extremely helpful.   Some of the challenges of the house for a large group; --House has 7 bedrooms but only 4 bathrooms --Bedrooms worked fine for our group but one is extremely small and another has a curtain for a door. --House is rented as two units (3 bedrooms up and 4 bedrooms down)   so there are two very private entrances to each floor of the house.  The downside is that there is no stairwell connecting the two units which would be very helpful.   There is a significant walk between the entrances that includes a fairly steep hill.  The advantage to this design is there is more privacy for a large group because both units have washer and dryers and kitchens and quiet space in one unit while gatherings are going on in the other unit.  

We filled both houses with relatives for Thanksgiving and everyone had a good time. The location suited our needs and the two houses had excellent communal spaces both inside and out. Two things to be aware of: if you rent both properties there is no internal connection between them. You need to go outside to move from one to the other. That presented some challenges in making Thanksgiving dinner for 15! Second, the television is internet based, so if the WiFi goes out or slows down (which happened with some intermittent frequency while we were there) that may interfere with television watching. These issues aside, we could not have had a better time and the property earned my five star ranking.

From the communication with the owners to the convenience, utility and simple rustic beauty of the space, our group loved this property. We used it for a professional retreat, and the layout was just perfect - different meeting spaces, kitchen spaces that had all the utensils and pots we needed and were open enough for group cooking, fantastic porches and comfy couches...this place had it all.

My group of 10 stayed at Lisa's wonderful Zilker house over Labor Day Weekend to celebrate a friend's 40th birthday. The house was extremely clean, pristine and perfectly furnished. It has everything you could possibly need to enjoy a weekend away. The location is incredible, just steps from Zilker Park and a very quick drive into downtown Austin. Most importantly, Lisa was an absolutely superb host -- accommodating, welcoming and easy to communicate with. We can't wait to come back and stay again!

Lisa has a great style and this VRBO looks just as amazing as the pictures. We had 12 gals and were comfortable. We walked to Barton Springs and took short Lyft to So. Congress, Corner restaurant, BBQ, Lake Austin and Rainey St. We had an amazing time. Highly recommend staying here.

This property suited our group of 14 guys perfectly! Everyone had plenty of space to sleep comfortably, the common areas were immaculate, and the owner was absolutely first class. The proximity to Barton Springs is incredible - we went for runs through the park and plunged into the spring every morning of our stay. This property is an absolute must have for a large group looking to take advantage of the very best Austin has to offer!

Our stay at Lisa’s Austin Home was spectacular. The house is absolutely gorgeous. Downtown and South Congress were both easily accessible by a short uber/lyft ride. The beautiful riverside path is just steps from the house. We loved this home. The upper and lower units are separate and sometimes rented to two different groups for the same night. We had a big group where we had both units, so we had to go outside to transition between the units because there is not an interior access method. This was the only downside of our stay but totally makes sense for the property and was more than compensated by the all around quality of the property. Lisa was impressively prompt in her responses to our questions ahead of and during our stay. I would definitely recommend this property for large group gatherings.

When we first stumbled upon this absolutely gorgeous house, it seemed almost too good to be true. There must be a catch! But everything was as perfect as it seemed online (even more perfect if you could believe it!). The house was interior looked like it was out of a magazine, complete with this wonderful indoor/outdoor feel. Everyone was jaw-dropped. The deck was probably our favorite place to hang out during the day with sweeping views of the park. The house was clean, beds were comfy/numerous, and it was stocked with everything we needed for our large group. On top of that, it was really in the perfect location -- very easy to get around Austin with ride sharing and walking distance to awesome bars and restaurants (Shady Grove was one of our favorite spots of the trip!). Leading up to and throughout our stay, Lisa was the most thoughtful, gracious host. She was always very quick to respond, and went above and beyond to make sure to accommodate us during our stay. Really, we can't thank her enough! If you are considering this house, I would say snag it immediately! Don't wait. You won't beat it. Some of the people in our group are coming back to Austin or have friends who are coming to Austin in the coming months and they are all wanting to stay here again/telling their friends to book this house. Two thumbs way, way up!

Where do I begin??? I hosted a college reunion party with 14 girls at the duplex - which we referred to as our treehouse/bungalow - and it was absolutely PERFECT. It fit everyone very comfortably, and was beautifully curated. Lisa was extremely responsive and helpful and made sure that we had everything we needed to have the perfect Austin weekend. She has a very well-stocked home and we were able to cook breakfast at the house which made it a lot easier. The beds were super comfortable, and the bathrooms and all facilities were top of the line. The wrap-around porch on the top level was our favorite part, and it was the perfect place for a large group to congregate. The two levels of the home are separated and you have to walk down the driveway hill and around a corner to get to the lower unit, but we really only separated to sleep and we used both living and common spaces for various activities throughout the weekend. Both are SO gorgeous so it was hard to decide where to hang out! Location was amazing and an easy walk to the bars and restaurants on Barton Springs, as well as the swimming pool, and a $10 uber to downtown Austin restaurant and bars. THANK YOU Lisa and we will definitely look at staying here again!

Our extended family of 10 rented the up and downstairs properties. Located right across from Barton Springs pool and the greenbelt trail that led directly to downtown, it was the dream location for outdoor fun and a city experience. We didn't get into a car the entire week, walking, scootering, and biking everywhere. The place had a well-stocked kitchen and comfortable living space to hang-out - my family likes to cook. It was a clean and comfortable place to stay. The upstairs deck has an amazing view of the park. The owner was extremely responsive and helpful, getting us a barbecue grill at a moments notice. In addition, she accommodated a late flight, allowing us flexibility in our departure time. We hope to come back- Austin is awesome- and would stay in this place again in a heartbeat.

The house was clean and well supplied. Lisa even went and got us a propane grill for our tradional hamburger and hot dogs nite. If you enjoy walking, the river with paths on both sides is great. The grandkids loved the the ability to rent a sscooter on every corner. Lisa made sure all 10 us had a great time.

I’m an Austin local, but needed more room when I hosted my 12 member family, and thank goodness we chose this home for an incredible holiday weekend! Lisa was such a great host giving us information before our stay and prompt responses during it. Location is unbeatable- stones throw from Barton Springs entrance and 6 minute walk into Zilker Park (awesome for the Trail of Lights!). Home was clean, spacious and so cozy to spend time with family. Can’t imagine a better place to stay in Austin!

House was spacious and clean. The location was fantastic. We spent time walking or doing activities in the park each day. Best thing about the place was Lisa. She was very available, diligent and helpful with whatever we needed.

This home was perfect for our large group. We were in Austin for three days to explore music, food and all Austin has to offer. This home was centrally located and had plenty of room for our group of 7. Highly recommend this home.
