Fantastic use of a small space, ideal for a few days in a good location. Alan, the owner, was very welcoming and informative.

Everything was great but personally it would have been perfect if there had been a king sized bed, there would have been enough room. It always helps when you're tall.

Hosts very quick to respond and very friendly. Apartment was lovely, the extras included was a great touch. Extremely comfortable apartment.

Nothing- the place was perfect!

Alan was very welcoming, and included a lot of useful tips for getting around on Skye. While it operates like a tiny apartment, the place itself was very well equipped (I was able to cook whole meals easily) and super clean! It was also very thoughtful that he gave us bread, and included some milk, ham, and cheese in our fridge upon our arrival—really helped us out in the morning. I also appreciated the apartment providing soaps made locally on Skye!

The bed was less comfortable than we would’ve liked—but we loved our stay here so much I still have to give it a full 10/10!

Pipers hut was absolutely spotless and had such great facilities. The location was fantastic and could walk into Portree in 10 minutes. Alan and Megan were great hosts.

Having to leave

Alan is a fantastic host with great local knowledge. He also provided plenty of useful recommendations, which was helpful for booking dinners in advance. Plenty of basics are provided for those wanting to eat at home. It is a lovely space and very convenient for getting into Portree.

The only downside is that there is no conventional oven (although there is a microwave oven), but you can see this in the pictures, so shouldn't be a surprise. Otherwise, really can't fault the place!

We liked how friendly and helpful the owner was. We really appreciated the extras left for us. We also liked how well thought out all the space in the accommodation was. Good location as able to walk into Portree. We'd love to visit again hopefully in sunnier weather.

everything about this stay was perfect. the hosts were extremely kind and welcoming. check in and check out were quick and simple. the apartment was exceptionally clean and had everything we could have needed including food and milk for breakfast. the apartment is walking distance from town but in a very quiet neighborhood.

Perfect stay at Piper’s Hut. The hut was everything we needed and more for our weekend trip. Alan was very welcoming and gave us some great recommendations. Can’t wait to come back!

Pipers hut was gorgeous and we would recommend to any of our family or friends. The hosts Alan & Megan were great - very helpful, friendly and accommodating. They have set out the property so well with not only all extra little things that will definitely make you smile, but also the cleanliness and how comfortable and modern the property is in general. Alan had great recommendations for places to visit from food to advice about visiting dairy pools and so on. We really enjoyed our stay and will return - hopefully in summer months with some sunshine! 🙂

There is no other improvements that we can think of - this was a home from home experience for us and we felt super comfortable with everything we needed readily available.

A very minor negative comment is that the heating isn't quite adequate for the size of the property but Alan is aware of this and did mention that he has plans to upgrade it soon.

In the three weeks while in Scotland, this was our favorite stay. It had everything we needed plus more - nice little extras of cereal, bread, milk, butter/jams. Coffee, hot chocolate. Everything was neat and clean. Owners were delightful and helpful. Would return to this place for sure. Highly recommend.

If the loveseat turned in to a sofa bed it would have been perfect - but we did DID know that before coming. Did tell the owners an ottoman would be nice. That's about it. Being picky cause all else was great.

The Piper’s Hut was the perfect base for our wanders around Skye. It was only a few minutes walk from Portree, easy parking, quiet area, and we had such a warm welcome from Alan. Every little detail had been considered, right down to the loaf of bread waiting for us, and tinfoil in the drawer that we hadn’t thought about in the local CoOp for transporting our packed lunches :) Honestly can’t recommend highly enough, so glad we booked 🤗

Superb location 5 minutes walk from town. The accommodation was spotless and deceptively spacious, the two skylight windows really added a feeling of space and were brilliant for bringing in the moonlight. Great bed, shower, cooking facilities, coffee machine, TV, everything. Our hosts had clearly put a lot of thought into the quality of everything, even leaving essentials in the fridge for our arrival.

Lovely well designed accommodation an easy walk from Portree harbour. Spacious and powerful shower, comfortable bed and seating area. Everything we needed!! Quiet location. Hosts were really friendly and gave great advice on visiting places on the island. Would not hesitate to recommend

Alan and Megan were amazing hosts, so friendly and helpful. Hut is so much larger than its looks. Impeccably clean. Incredible amounts of free welcome gifts, like face masks and hand santiser, food and drink (including gin and tonic) and high end toiletries Hut is just a 7 minute walk to Portree Square, restaurants, supermarket and harbour. Couldn't ask for a better place to stay, would highly recommend

Everything was exceptional! Well-equipped modern room, extremely clean. Lovely little touches including a coffee machine and some complementary food/drinks to keep you going. Shower is fantastic, the whole place just has such a cosy vibe - you have to stay here!

The location was perfect and free parking a bonus. An amazing find. They thought of everything, milk, bread, cheese, oatcakes, jams, spread, coffee ,tea, biscuits, porridge cereal even kitchen roll which I thinks a godsend. Complimentary gin & tonic which was very tasty. Very compact upmarket accomodation. The owners Alan & Megan introduced themselves and were really nice they even offered to take us to the restaurant as it was raining.

- Nice modern facilities, had enough space in the evenings to just stay in and relax - Powerful hot shower - Close to Portree town centre (10 min walk) - Handy location for staying near the main walks and highlights - Alan was a really friendly and helpful host, came out to meet us for an outdoor welcome even though we arrived late in the evening - Recycling bin, seems a small thing but lots of holiday accom don't have this which frustrates me!

the rain....just kidding Piper's Hut was exactly what we needed and had no complaints!
