Buetifull location in an amazing village

Looking out over Port Issac from the center of town was an amazing view. The view was iconic and laced with all the connections to the Doc Martin tv series. We took a Walk and Talk with Dave from in front of the May Contain Nuts store. That filled in lots of information about filming the show. But, you don't need to have followed the show to enjoy the streets of this town. Walk the hills and capture thoughts of smugglers in the past.

What's not to like.

Beautiful location. Very clean room and hotel. Very good shower/bath. Delicious breakfast. Kind and helpful staff. Parking available just outside hotel (for a fee of £7 per night)

Could do with some pegs to hang coats/clothes/ towels behind doors perhaps…. Bed was a bit soft and wobbly for our liking. But just suggesting, thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Location lovely and being able to park on site a great bonus.

The view from my window was beautiful. I'd booked a small single room, but my bed was a 4' small double which was very comfortable and I was happy with the space. I loved the old school hall where we had breakfast, which was excellent.

Lack of coffee&tea&milk&biscuits in room. Bathroom toiletries minimal. For $$££ ?think more effort in the welcome &room supplies.

The breakfast was lovely and plenty big enough to eat. Service was efficient and very friendly

Room was spacious, clean and the views were amazing. The staff were exceptionally friendly and professional even before our arrival with directions, parking, restaurant bookings. It seemed nothing was too much

Location and view! Room really lovely. Early access to room wonderful! Gorgeous high ceilings and lovely bathroom.

Access to get to hotel not that easy but understandable . Finding it in the first place with car difficult and was not explained adequately in pre-information. Couldn't find anyone on arrival either at first but when found staff they were very nice. Dining room floor in raised area extremely slimey. Staff agreed. Think floor soap not rinsed off. Felt very unpleasant and potentially dangerous. My Dinner. I had the linguine. It was MASSIVE (flavour absolutely fine). Portion size enough for 2 to 3 people!! Suggest you reduce size or offer it as MEGA hungry dish!

Parking is a nightmare

Perfect location. Love the way the school has been sympathetically converted to a small hotel. Very clean. Staff very pleasant and efficient. Excellent breakfast.

One small fault was the seal on the bottom of the shower screen which didn't work and let water flow onto the bathroom floor. The bedroom was small but light and well presented.

Location perfect, good food, very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good feel about the place.

The location was lovely, very clean. I felt £196 for 1 night wasn't cheap, ur we did enjoy it.
