This was by far the best hostel I have ever stayed in. Great thematic rooms, perfect facilities, I'm sure I'll be back again one day with another group.

Very impressive lobby area, with tea, water dispenser, video games, manga library, and a restaurant. The bed was very comfortable, with a real mattress underneath a topper. Laundry machines are available.

Location is awkwardly far from both Hiroshima center, though not too far from the Miyajima ferry. About an hour into Hiroshima and 20 minutes to the ferry, both accessible via the 2 train. There isn't anything nearby to eat, (closest 7-Eleven is a 15 minute walk) though they do offer various unhealthy fried foods and a drink vending machine at the hotel itself. I didn't like having to wear PVC slippers. They kept falling off my socks which seemed dangerous on the stairs. Everyone else's alarms are audible, so you'll likely be waking up at 5:30 or 6 AM. There is only a curtain to act as your bedroom door. The capsule hotel I stayed in before had velcro on their curtains, but this hotel did not have velcro on their curtains. Velcro is good because it closes the gap from peeping eyes, and it makes a sound so that I would be alerted if someone came in while I was asleep. There is no elevator, and the men's rooms are on the 3rd floor. It is difficult with luggage and PVC slippers. There is no safe for personal belongings. Only a single pillow is given, I'm used to having two. Wasn't sure where the shower was, but I didn't look too much since a towel is 100 yen to rent. Staff don't speak much English, but were kind and tried to be helpful anyway.

lack of heating throughout the entire facility. only have heating in room when heat is self turned on. bathrooms/ shower rooms are devastatingly frigid. No to staying here for winter. it's fine in the summer or late spring. We also did not appreciated the lack of elevator and having to climb multiple long flights of stairs carrying luggage. Also each floor has bathroom, and some are mixed gender which can be uncomfortable for both genders. The female only bathrooms are not on every floor- during my stay I had to go down to different floors to access toilet and also for shower.

You can expect a comfortable stay with nice staffs, quiet rooms, clean bathrooms. Also, this place has a wide variety of entertainment in a common area - a telly, a ping-pong table, a Karaoke box, manga, and video games.
