Beautiful traditional Spanish house in the old part of Almodóvar Del Rio.

This is a really attractive historic building. The rooms are spacious and with high ceilings. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The location is on one side of the attractive central square of the town (and very close to excellent restaurants and the castle), but due to the thick walls and location of the bedroom it is very quiet in the hotel.

Trato excelente, muy cuidado y muy limpio. Bien ubicado. Súper recomendable.

Pepa y su marido son un encanto y han sabido conservar la casa con gusto y tacto con el valor histórico. Bien decorada y con encanto. La habitación que tuvimos era muy pintoresca y estaba súper limpia. Buen desayuno.

Es cuestión de gustos pero la almohada es bajita a nuestro parecer..y le faltaba tv, a nosotros no nos importaba pero entiendo que haya alguien que la eche en falta.

Pepa y Ángel unos anfitriones maravillosos sin duda volveremos. Nuestra escapada era para las jornadas medievales del castillo Almodóvar del rio q se encuentra allí mismo muy cerca es más desde la terraza se ve el castillo en todo su esplendor y más de noche cuando lo iluminan. El alojamiento sin duda una de los mejores dnd hemos estado. Camas super cómodas. Baño amplio. Terraza y patio interior y zonas comunes q son una pasada. El desayuno variado y de calidad.

Beautiful building, completely authentic - we chose it for the experience and it didn't disappoint. Roof terrace lovely for an evening drink (BYO) looking at the castle and the stars. Comfortable bed, good linen, nice bathroom, strong shower, good air-con. Location perfect, easy free parking in several places around town, nice bars/restaurants/cafes very close and 5-minute drive to the castle.

A shame to scrimp on little things that make a difference. Breakfast basic, as lots of others have said, and not befitting a superior casa rural; fresh bread and orange juice but almost everything else in plastic pots (oil, jam, tomato, butter, buns). Coffee in a flask and not the usual Spanish quality. Much, much better/fresher breakfast available very cheaply in the nearby cafés so would recommend eating out. Toiletries also in plastic & made in China - disappointing as they made a point of telling us about the glass bottle of tap water being better for the environment (lip-service always a disappointment - rather they didn't mention it unless they really care).

The room was quiet and comfortable. Parking was close by and free. The view to the castle from the roof terrace was astonishing. The owners were lovely.

The room had only a very small, high window from which there was no view. You had to stand on the bed to open it.

We enjoyed being in a small town. The hotel is authentic. There are beautiful tiles throughout the living spaces. The owners are friendly, courteous, and welcomed us.
