Enjoyed my stay, was in a perfect spot nice and quiet. Host was very helpfull and responsive. Highlight having a fully equiped kitchen as i travel for work and find it is usual the downside however everything was there and made cooking easier.

Great little place to stay. We have stayed before. Well set up and close to the beach. An easy walk to the shop for coffee. Plenty of room for the boat.

Easy booking, communication and check in process. House was tidy but dusty, smelled very musty when we arrived. The online pictures showed bunk beds in the childrens room. Kids ran in excited, shortly after the returned with a look of major disappointment. NO BUNK BEDS! I was really unhappy about this as my girlfriend and and her two lads had planned to stay for one night. We were unable to accommodate them in the house. I was aware that I had to bring linen, I didn’t realise that this included towels. It took ages but it turns out you can dry yourself with a flannel. I was pissed about the lack of any stock, not very hospitable. No soap, no towels, no tea, no coffee, no sheets, no bunk beds, no batteries in the tv remote. It really was bare bones. Love the town, the house was nice we’ll be back again.

Great stay in Port Hughes
The group of 5 adults that were in town for a wedding had a lovely stay in this property. It was well equipped and a short walk from the beach, the pub and the general store.

Memorable stay, memorable experience
The check in process was easy as.
The location is something you have to see for yourself. It was incredible. You can smell the ocean. A quick two minute walk and you’re on Port Hughes beach which was one of a kind.
The house was homey, cozy and beautiful. It has a huge backyard and makes you feel like you’re right at home. It’d very quiet and enjoyable.
The house was fully equipped and was perfectly clean. Jo and Bill were easy going and made the process super easy. Thank you very much for accomodating for us. We will definitely be back if you’ll have us.

Perfect for a family getaway

Great getaway in a great location!
My hubby and I came down to stay with a friend and our 2 year old daughter, we had such a great stay, the house was so neat and smelt amazing, jo was a breeze to talk to and it was in the perfect location, 2 min walk to a beach that was very private and close to the jetty! What a gem this place is! Would stay here again ❤️ Much needed break away!

Simple, but perfectly so. Ideal for a family getaway without mod-cons and opportunity to escape. Easy walk to beach. Clean, comfortable furniture and decor, recently painted interior and updated bathroom (shower, no bath). Very basic kitchen utensils and no towels or bath mats, need to come with own bed linen which is fine just need to prepare.

Perfect quiet beach holiday
We loved this property. It was perfect for us (2 adults, 6 and 4 year old kids). It had everything we needed. Kids loved the bunks, especially that they could both be on the top bunks 😊. Back yard was lovely and safe. Washing machine and clothes line came in very handy. I really loved the lack of clutter and decorations - the decor was simple, calming and modern and I didn't need to hide a million breakable knick knacks from the kids and then have to try to remember whet they all go when we are leaving!!
Street was quiet. Very short walk to beach and coastline walking trail and also walking distance to Tavern, general store and jetty.
Perfect. We loved it and really hope to stay again another time.

Beachside at Port Hughes
Property is situated in a great location with ready access to walkways along the beach. Spent most of our time when indoors lazying on the comfy sofas in the lounge area which has a nice airy feel. A good place from which to visit and dine at lovely eateries in Moonta as well as check out Kadina and Wallaroo. We enjoyed our stay.

Clean house with good location
Our family had a pleasant stay at Port Hughes. Jo’s house was clean and all the kitchen basics were provided. Good location near the beach. The board games and dvd movies that she provided for the kids were a plus. Thank you Jo.
