Leaking family room ceiling with black mold throughout. Deck in very poor condition with weak boards directly outside of main entrance to pool area. Unclean throughout with very musty smell. Needed to buy a candle our first night to hide the odor. Master bedroom is a loft bedroom with loover doors covering the loft. There is absolutely no privacy as you can hear the slightest noises throughout the entire house. Kitchen very poorly equipped. Many of the utensils belong in the garbage, Refrigerator clearly a scratch and dent model with a big dent on the front being the very first thing you notice when walking into the kitchen. Keurig is the smallest available model, with single cup reservoir-not practical or sanitary for a rental home. Furniture is old and dingy and inadequate for a rental that sleeps 12. Several people from our group regularly spent the evening in their bedrooms watching tv, as there was no comfortable space to sit as a group (the objective of a family vacation!). Advertised as a dog friendly home with enclosed yard. So grateful we decided to not bring our dogs. Yard is NOT enclosed with an easy 1 foot gap at the bottom of fence (larger than 1 foot in some spots). Even a large dog could easily escape. Sliding door by dining room has large gap at the top of door even when closed and locked, big enough for bugs and flies to come in to the house- which we were fighting off all week! Hilton Head is one of our favorite vacation spots and we have been there many times and have rented many lovely homes and have had wonderful experiences. In addition to the obvious health concerns from the black mold, this hands down was the worst house we have ever rented. I would definitely not recommend this home to anyone who has concerns of black mold and general uncleanliness.

Great Location, minutes to the beach and town. We rented Bikes and didn't have to use our car for anything! Fenced in yard was great, especially with having a little one.

Property could use some TLC. Most properties we have rented have a welcome book telling us about the house and anything we need to know about check in/out. Also, most homes have some basic condiments left to use food wise, we were surprised to not see any of this... (spices, ketchup/mustard, etc...) The washer not working was a big burden for us, This would have been nice to know ahead of time as we planned to using it upon arrival and throughout our stay. Also the Caterpillars were overwhelming and made it uncomfortable to stay outside...

Location and cleanliness and FABULOUS Backyard with exceptional Pool!

Home is older and has issues such as sinking/possibly rotting floors in places of heavy foot traffic. Tile floors in living rooms were very slick and dangerous - in fact member of family fell on them. Kitchen was not adequately equipped for a large party although home slept 12 people. Need a few larger pots and pans and mixing bowls. Living room furniture was inadequate in that only 6 people could be seated and the home slept 12. The home was supplied with and cleaning products upon our arrival which we greatly appreciated. Setting was lovely and the decor was lovely as well. Advertisement stated pets were welcome and although we were grateful for no additional fees for pets, we were very disappointed to learn upon signing rental agreement that there was a limit to two pets which had not been disclosed in booking.com ad.
