Orchid beach is the place to explore the top of Fraser. Found some amazing untouched places.

The accommodation was perfect and supplied everything we needed. The location was great. Owners were good with communication and the towels were soft. We booked both units and had 8 in each.

This small home was a great place to come home to after a big day exploring the island. Had the conveniences needed to relax and recharge. The unit was missing dvd player and remote to operate external HD devices, I managed to get hold of the other units dvd player minus a remote. Some of the fly screens did have holes that I taped up as there were a fair amount of bugs and webs in the units ceilings and corners. I would recommend this unit to fishermen that want a place to crash, drink ,bbq and socialize, not so much for a family with higher expectations. The water pump went out temporarily and smoke alarms went off once at 2am. The place does need some attention, I mentioned to the manager and he said he would look into some of the issues Cleaning and some dish liquid. In saying that if you can be ok with those minor issues the place is a great blast off point for Wathumba, the cape and Waddy point.

Great spot to stay, we will definitely be back next year to stay at stingrays. From start to finish Stephen was fantastic, nothing was a problem. To get a phone call first up on our arrival day to say the house is ready go for it was a great start. The house had everything we needed and was perfectly clean on arrival. The size of the yard and being fully fenced was a huge tick for the young ones. Will definitely recommend this place to others. Thanks for letting us stay

Had all that we required. Owner easy to communicate with if required. Everything worked and fridge is a good size, with the addition of a chest freezer for baits, fish, ice etc chest freezer. Good sized BBQ and then a shared fire pit at the back. Only one other unit next to you.

To summarize the accommodation was in a good location and comfortable. Our host were very pleasant and obliging. All in all a great stay for the 4 Bros.

Steve made our stay really easy. The property is just as you’d expect, nothing special but the perfect base for an island getaway. We had a few mechanical issues with a trailer and Steve went out of his way to pick up the parts off the mainland for us. Really appreciated and would definitely stay again.

We found that this property was well equipped with everything we needed, great spot if you have children as it is fully fenced and we didnt have to worry about Dingo's. Thankyou.

My family and I have always camped on Fraser. It was great to be able to come back to Stingrays accommodation and have all the luxury of home. It definately made it easier for me and my partner to enjoy our week holiday having power, hot showers and the use of the facilities along with a full self contained kitchen. We did not have to bring much at all. The owners were great to deal with and shared their knowledge of the island before we headed up.

The property was very comfortable and clean ...and was perfect for our group and our few days away. Our hosts were exceptionally helpful with a load of local knowledge. Highly recommend this place for your Fraser Stay !!!

Plenty of space for 8 adults to enjoy comfortably. Enjoyed sitting around the fire pit and on the verander.

Fully fenced for the dingo-conscious! Obliging owner; nice hot water (but see below); good kitchen with gas appliances; good satellite TV; large block with plenty of outdoor space/entertaining area. Fridge not so good - took 2 days to freeze water iceblocks, and our milk was going off, changing thermostat = no difference; and the hot water in the shower would cycle on/off with the pump, often not triggering the constant gas heating, so it had to be set at near maximum, which wastes water - may benefit from a pressure tank; very difficult to locate property if arriving at night.

Everything you need at the end of a full day spent fishing, swimming at the beach or exploring the island. Self contained facilities, hot showers and plenty of space. The owners were super helpful and contactable, even navigating for us on arrival.
