The welcome staff from the parking to the reception was warmly welcoming. The duty manager was exceptional. The hotel is awesome and the location is on point.. The food was amazing as well. Loved the experience.

Very smooth arrival and check-in at a hotel that has a hint of the Agatha Christie era about it, Very good facilities, restaurant and bar, and very close to many other options as well. Professional and friendly staff - and we were given a slightly later checkout at no extra cost.
To be honest, for the cost, the suite did not quite meet expectations. The upgrade I selected on Booking.com clearly stated an external seating area / balcony. Many other suites and rooms had these but we did not.

Beautiful hotel in beautiful location, with excellent service ethic by all. Spa was also amazing, well trained therapists.
The food wasn't amazing, if I ran the hotel I would work on that as it's the ONLY thing that could be improved.

the location of this hotel right beside the sea is wonderful and hard to beat, also all the staff were wonderful- helpful and very friendly. food was good.
rooms seemed a little dated, as did the rest of the hotel. I had higher expectations from ‘a small leading hotel’s of the world’ hotel

Too noisy, staff walk down corridor making noise, room doors not up to 5 star standard also noisy when other rooms close doors, not enough light in rooms

the location and proximity to the walkways along the coastline and the staff are friendly
The hotel is old and outdated. Our room was situated in a wind tunnel and the rattling windows and doors kept us awake most of the night. Dinner in the hotel was extremely poor quality. The rate per night is extremely high for the value.

The Marine is one of our favourite hotels
The staff are so lovely. Rooms are lovely. Food is lovely. There is nothing not to like about this hotel. Lovely location and views are stunning. Cannot wait to return.

Gorgeous views. Beautiful decoration. Best location to discover the coast of Hermanus. We loves the little attentions.
The lighting in the restaurant is off. It's a shame because food is tasty.

Location , Decor and room
I communicated that it was my husband's birthday and wanted something special, even at an additional cost. They did not do anything.
The pool area has too few loungers and there needs to be more control of loungers.
The pool area was very disappointing as it did not have any view
