Central location and modern fit out

The bed was quite comfortable and the facilities were nice and modern. It was a great location in the heart of China Town and carpark building right next door.
Few little things in the bathroom were a little dirty, but that's only if I'm being picky. Overall it was fine.

Neat, clean and excellent location in Sydney. The room is well set up and there is a tablet that allows you to easily request items and services. Staff are very friendly helpful and 24 hour reception is great for a solo business traveller.
A minor point that didn't detract from my stay: On the wall there were a few useful hanging hooks for clothing and no closet. This was fine for me for an overnight stay, but for more nights I may have wanted or needed a hanging rail.

Location location location! Wonderful if you are in Sydney for a show at the Captiol Theatre, it’s right next door. Walking distance to Paddy’s Markets and lots of food and shopping options.
The noise. Could hear a nearby pub/club until early hours and it was loud.

Room and area was quiet - so good sleep.
Breakfast was ok. bathroom was good but grab irons in shower for oldies would be welcome.
Big gripe about the non-provision of local TV - supposedly antenna problem for preserved building. TV worked for many stays here over previous years. An oldie is not interested in docs and entertainment channels offered in place. Who wants to learn to replace a carburettor, forest walks all over the world, crashes, trips etc. We have favourite TV programs and this is the first time they have been banned for me in my countless stays all over the world. Big black mark for that!

The location of the Capitol Hotel was right in the heart of Haymarket - so much to see and do! If you are in Sydney to visit the gorgeous Capitol Theatre, this is definitely the hotel to be in as it is a 1 min walk away with very secure security. Room was lovely and ambient, complete with high tech amenities too.
The room was a lot smaller than I thought, however, the comfort of the room was exceptional - complete with the high tech amenities including an ipad and Chromecast TV.

Excellent location, two steps away from the tram line and at the center of Chinatown. Despite being in a very busy zone, the hotel was quiet and we could get a good night's sleep. The beds, size of the room, and bathroom were comfortable.
The housekeeping quality in the room decreased significantly over the days, with one day our bed being just "stretched over" rather than made.

Good location, close to trains, light rail, food and entertainment. Hallways had a fun vampire the masquerade vibe going on that I loved! Staff offered to keep our bags in the cloak room after check out for no extra cost which was fantastic

Room was a little bit dirty, in and around vanity in bathroom.
I asked for an ironing board half an out before I needed to leave for a meeting and had to re call 5 mins before leaving as it still hadn’t arrived.

Location was great, walking distance to shops cinema, theatre, darling harbour, casino and great restaurants.
Clean the room everyday. Wasn't cleaned the day before I left, whether they thought I was going soon and just couldn't be bothered. But every other day was cleaned with fresh towels.

Location was excellent as we were going to the Théâtre. Room was great only we had no iron. We were so close to everything we needed for our 2 night stay.
Really wasn't anything. There was a little bit of noice from the Capitol Square eating areas but wasn't to the point that we wouldn't come back.

The walls are very thin, you can hear any sound from the corridor and other rooms. My room was on level 4, at the end of the corridor so my only problem was noise from the room next door.

1.Room was very small despite paying for an upgrade.
2. No breakfast even though both booking. com and the hotel saying that there would be. Had to walk 500 metres or so to Ridges for a buffet breakfast or sit in a crowded cafe nearby.
3. Bathroom door squeaked loud enough to wake someone sleeping if the toilet had to be used during the night.
4. No toilet brush. Sounds trivial but who wants to use a toilet with a dirty bowl.

The room was well planned out exactly as pictured, the bathroom was nice and clean, the bed was comfortable and tv had chrome cast available and was easy to set up. The location was perfect, right next to central station and china town.

Super comfortable bed! You can chrome cast from your phone to the tv! Absolutely brilliant!
Toilet paper and towels had to be asked for after the room had been cleaned up. But it was an easy fix.

Loved the attentive and friendly staff! They gave us wonderful recommendations where to go too which really enriched our stay in Sydney.
Also the location is perfect for us. 7 min walk from the central station, 1 minute from the tram and surrounded by "Little Bangkok" with fantastic food options and in walking distance to so many great shopping places like the Queen Victoria Building. We'd come again!
I'd have liked shower gel instead of soap.
