My short-term stay at this home stay was fantastic! The hosts were incredibly welcoming, the room was cozy and clean, The peaceful surroundings and helpful local tips made my brief visit memorable. I’ll definitely consider returning for another short getaway in the future.

Breakfast on the deck looking at the view was exactly the country experience I was looking for. Everything we needed was provided. The hosts were welcoming and very responsive to our communications. We thank them again.

Awesome place to get away nice and quiet, nice farm land and views and good for kids. Would highly recommend.

Huge farm, with cows, chickens, kangaroos, and other local birds. We met the owners David and Jane lovely people who are very friendly and carying. David made sure we had enough firewood to keep warm at night and Jane provided us with fresh laid eggs from their chickes. Our kids had fun walking around the farm and picking fresh laid eggs in the mornings. The cottage is very well looked after and very clean. The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful, a well deserved brain cleaning place to stay.

Jane and David are warm and friendly hosts. The cottage is in the most peaceful of surrounds, with rolling hills and serene scenery. The cottage is comfortable and has everything you need for a short stay (even Netflix)!

Told Jane that there was in unpleasant smell in the kitchen ( perhaps a dead animal) but otherwise a very comfortable place to spend some time We would certainly like to spend another holiday there and will recommend it to friends and family

A perfect spot in an original country cottage to get away from the rat race of city life. Peace, tranquility and yet able to connect to Netflix and cook a roast, and visit local shops. Lots to see and nature spaces to explore in the surrounds. Sitting in te front porch with coffee. Looking out at the bush and the rolling hills and watching the local birds and wildlife a definite highlight. We will be back!

Stunning views in a peaceful location. Amazing stars at night. Arrived to roses in the kitchen and were given blueberries by Jane, who was lovely. Iron and ironing board not provided?? Bathroom in need of a deep clean as was the verandah. Bed was so comfortable, best night's sleep!

Rose Cottage was exactly as advertised. We were very impressed with the location and cleanliness. The hosts communicated everything prior to our arrival really well.

Old style farm house with a wide mix of eras represented by the furnishings and decor. Comfortable beds, one large well equipped bathroom and one small powder room/bathroom. Enjoyed the beautiful farm views which can been seen from most windows. Saw kangaroos, rabbits, cows and many birds including yellow-tailed cockatoos. Bring hiking boots/gumboots if you want to walk around the cow paddocks. Very friendly owners.

Our hosts Jane and David were extremely welcoming and everything was in the house that we needed to make our stay so very comfortable. Jane was great with our grandkids and even let them pick blueberries ( which were delicious) , showed them their cattle and even let them name one of their chickens and feed them and the birds. Jane was very informative as where to we could go to see the sights . Toorongo Falls and Amphitheatre Falls and the trestle bridge at Nogee. If you want a good meal go to the Neerim South pub .

We enjoyed a warm fire, country cottage charm and beautiful views. A calm cheerful time, with hens and birds to feed from a front verandah. Comfortable furniture and everything we needed to hand. Thoroughly recommended for a relaxing farm experience.

Rose cottage is for those of us who like walking, amazing views, peaceful location, impossible stars at night. We also found a number of great bushwalks within 15 mins drive, but the best walk was down the road from the Rose cottage overlooking the hills. We loved our stay, including our dog. Breakfast on the veranda with the view of the hills was perfect. Thank you David and Jane for sharing your perfect farm with us.

Nice neat and clean cottage. Lovely peaceful location. Kids loved the chickens that were friendly but unfortunately there weren’t many other animals for them to see or interact with. We tried to venture down to the bush track as advertised but it was totally overgrown. Beautiful nature walks a short drive away. Also enjoyed seeing some wombats on the road. Thanks for the stay!

A farm house that feels comfortable to have both kids and pets. While it is located close to the host's home; they definitely give you privacy to enjoy your stay. The property is located in a quiet pocket of Neerim on a no through road allowing guest to enjoy the millions of stars at night & the kangaroos at dusk. Not only was the farm pet friendly on-lead but the entire surrounding area. Our dog was able to enjoy all activities with us from Rokeby's farmers market, to the beer garden at Nogee and even Tooronga Falls. We also very much appreciated the eggs & blueberries the host provided.

Great to wake up to birds, frogs, and clean air instead of traffic & pollution. Jane & David were great hosts, and very helpful with any questions we had. We were there for our wedding anniversary, so it was great to have a place all to ourselves - much better than staying in a hotel with a crowd of strangers filling every room. There are some items in the pantry, but best to bring everything your u think you’ll need for meals. We would definitely go back again when time allows.
