Location was perfect. So close to town, train and bus services. Owners were extremely helpful and accommodation very clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

it was cold and the bathroom heater was broken. there are no staff there overnight to report this to. when I told the manager/owner the next day he said that all the bathroom heaters were broken. and he wasn’t going to fix or replace then because guests left them on. the bedroom was cold too. I had to sleep with a jumper and socks as well as my pyjamas and use the quilt from the other bed.

I liked the location of the guesthouse as it was so close to the town center. The bus station and also the train station I also like how close Tesco and Asda are to the guesthouse

Although I did not take my car I think the car parking facilities could be better. As there was no direct access to the guesthouse from the car park For exame the car park is round the back and the access to the guesthouse is round the front

Very convenient- with a car park for a few cars and very clean. Chocolate bars with the teas and coffees.

The room was very- very small- no toiletries. Absolute basics.

Lovely cosy warm property on a cold winters day/night. Malcom the owner was exceptionally friendly and greeted us sincerely. The room and bathroom facilities were a welcome from the cold, comfortable clean and homely. Tea/coffee facilities with a small array of biscuits in the room. Small things such as the home made handkerchief box case that shows the care, details and attention the owners take within their establishment. Would 100% recommend the Monorene Guest house for a warm, clean and exceptional value for money guest house in Galashiels & would stay again if visiting the area.

Malcolm was extremely helpful whenever I phoned for information. The rooms were simple but clean, cosy and comfortable. Tea, coffee and kettle in the room was an unexpected welcome. Parking was available. Great value stay.

The shower was not a powerful shower but it worked well for the type of shower it was and was warm.

I loved staying at this guest house (got a good reception) and my room was warm enough for me. So very conveniently positioned for the Border buses Exchange and nearby facilities. Really clean and inviting.

It was inexpensive and adequate for our needs. Great central location for shops, cafes and pubs. The owners are lovely people and very accommodating.

Single rooms aren’t en-suite. Not an issue for the price really as a single traveller though.

Very near town centre shops pubs and restaurant. They provided secure cycle storage indoors. Gave good recommendations on where to eat.

Room only No breakfast facilities. Rail Station very close, rooms on that side were noisy.
