This cottage is perfect! The location is very close to VMI and W and L and yet is surrounded by trees and a lovely lawn. The kitchen is very well equipped and new. The beds are comfortable. All in all it is perfect for an enjoyable stay. We hope to be back!

This house is our go-to when visiting Lexington. Extremely comfortable and convenient location. Many Lexington restaurants offer free delivery. Lovely spot!

We found the cottage to be very clean in a quiet setting. It was a rainy weekend for our stay but that added to the quiet. We found it to have plenty of room and loved the screened in porch and enjoyed breakfast there. Only negative was a musty smell which may have been because of the dampness of the rain. All in all we look forward to finding another reason to stay.

Cute cottage with everything we needed for our stay. The cottage — and the screened porch — was lovely to come back to after long days at the horse center. The owner was nice and responded quickly to a couple of questions I had. Cottage is also convenient to the town of Lexington as well as W&L and VMI. We would definitely stay here again.

The place is actually much cuter than the pictures. So well supplied and taken care of. Loved the screened in porch. Never sat in any other room, just the porch. Had three clients over for pizza on the porch and they want to stay with us next year. Plan to book as soon as I know the dates for 2021. Thank you.

Very easy check in/out. Nice property with views of nature (deer in early morning, fireflies at night). Easy access to lots of fun areas! Awesome!

The cottage was adorable, comfortable, and nicely furnished. The kitchen, which we used daily, was well-organized and well-equipped. It was spotlessly clean, though we did wipe down surfaces upon arrival, as a precaution during COVID-19 pandemic. We enjoyed seeing deer in the yard and the private setting. The location is not bad, but I would not be comfortable walking into town...it would be a LONG walk, and at least part of the walk was on a busy road without sidewalks.

To pricey for location , but beautiful home . Welcome to mountains in summer needs to be changed . Its off main street downtown .

The home was immaculate and wonderfully decorated. The kitchen was well stocked and easy to cook in. VIM families would love staying here while visiting.

Katherine was a great host and described the property perfectly. The cottage was spotless when we arrived and Katherine was extremely responsive to all questions and concerns. My family had a wonderful vacation in Lexington...and a great escape from the city. Much needed fresh air and outdoor time during the pandemic! The only surprise we had was the noise from the road. We didn't expect that but it did not ruin the feeling of seclusion and peaceful relaxation.

The cottage is just a short drive, just over the Maury River, to campus. It was quite convenient for all the activities of the weekend. Thank you for your quick response to our questions.

3 VMI graduates back in Lexington for our 10 year reunion and this was the perfect spot to enjoy the weekend with each other. We were 4 adults and 1 child, and fit very comfortably. I loved how secluded, yet close it was to everything. The parking was plentiful and the kids could enjoy the gorgeous fall day outside in the yard. Everything described in listing as provided - I also loved the personal photos - it made it seem like I was staying at a friend's house. AC was great as well! Just like some of the other reviews, to be forewarned about the gravel hill up the driveway. It can be a little misleading (esp for this NYer!) but not bad afterall. Also, the no wifi but thankfully we were out of the house a lot. Lastly, the grill was wonderful to have but it sat inside the porch and after a long day of travel, we did not think to move it to the outside porch. I can totally understand why it's there between stays but maybe a sign would help? Just a suggestion. Otherwise 5 STARS! :-)

We had a great stay! The house was exactly what we needed. The beds were very comfortable. The a/c worked very well. Be aware, there is no wifi, but that wasn't an issue for me. Please note, the driveway is exceptionally steep and rutted. Some drivers may be uncomfortable with this. We would definitely stay again.
