After some confusion at the check-in (my booking.com reservation hadn’t gone through apparently) I didn’t get such a warm welcome initially, as I was suspected to have made a mistake. However there were still rooms availa le and everything was cleared up I was treated like a princess, even being served food rather late in the evening . The location (mediaval monastery ruin on site! beautiful but simple manour-house design, gorgeous sunshine patio for the delicious organic breakfast (which goes until late, 11:00, very relaxing) , lovely salt-water pool and cozy small spa with everything you need, flexible sauna-times, and it was incredibly quiet and peaceful in the night which is the main thing in a hotel, in my opinion. You can even get private hotel access to the river for swimming and a boat trip.

Absolutely nothing.

We had an amazing stay, it was one of the best hotels we stayed at in Germany, I'm not sure why it doesn't have 5 stars because it's better than a lot of 5 stars hotels we stayed at before. The service was great, the staff was so nice and helpful. The hotel looks amazing, I loved the decoration and the style of the rooms. It's super family friendly so we felt great with our baby. The spa was great. The food was delicious. We will definitely come back!

Internet was really slow but I guess it's a great place to do an internet detox :D

Quiet and relaxing location in beautiful setting.

The hotel promotes itself on having bicycles and cycle routes but does not advertise that the ONLY cycle path is on the other side of a river from the hotel. The only way across the river is a ferry which closes from autumn onwards. On our arrival the ferry had stopped running. This no cycling. Cycling had been our TOP reason for selecting the hotel. Had the hotel made this closure known we would not have stayed there. We feel tricked there under false pretenses and feel a bit cheated.
