We had an amazing time kayaking up and down the river, we saw many manatees and even a rogue dolphin!! We made use of the full kitchen to cook quite a few meals throughout our stay which was great, also getting in some grilling too!

All was great! No complaints.....Summer was excellent and easy to communicate with. House was in the best location with small sand bar directly across where we sat and watched all the people go by. Will be staying again!!!

The location is beautiful. Great view of the fun on the river. Clear and cool swimming. The outside porch area was nice equipped with chairs and shade for hanging outside. Ac worked well and all the appliances worked as they should. The beds were a little firm for me, and the downstairs riverfront bedroom was a little warm during the evening hours. Overall a nice place I would return. Thanks to Summer for her great service.

We have stayed here 2 times now and had a great time. The house is a bit small but the location on the river is great. We love that there are kayaks and paddle boards included so we didn’t have to bring our own. Would definitely stay here again in the future.

We enjoyed being right on the river. I had to do some cleaning when we arrived. Crumbs on front table, mold on freezer water dispenser, jelly on cabinets. Crumbs on the floor. For the price we pay I really do wish it would have been cleaned better. Living room couch bed was really dirty with crumbs and hair. Needs light fixture repairs and some professional painting done inside. If this place was cleaned properly it would be better.

Amazing location with a deck that takes perfect advantage of the river while still providing some privacy in a busy area. We swam, kayaked, canoed, and fished right from the house! Happy kids, happy grandparents, and happy dog! Can’t beat that!

Overall the property was nice. You’re definitely paying for the water views and the outdoor space. Conveniently located to everything. The canoes and kayaks were great. A few upgrades are needed. Most of the outdoor furniture needs replaced and the furniture on the screened porch stank like dog. Also. the house needs a good deep cleaning. For the price we we’re expecting the inside to be a bit more charming but hey it’s an old house on the river. Don’t expect to be blown away by the interior but the outside is where it’s at!

I arrived on the property after a short one hour trip. Even though the property was so close to Tampa, it felt States away! Tucked into a cute little neighborhood, seeing the front of the propert emerge from the woods felt like coming home. And this feeling continued as all of us unpacked our belongings into one of the three rooms found inside. My first impression entering the residence was how spacious and clean it was! Everything appeared welcoming and all the rooms were neatly made. The bathrooms were quaint, but nice and also very clean. The spiral staircase leading up to the master suit was pretty cool, even though it was a bit steep to acend and decend. We found the outside stairs to be a bit more friendly, but overall, getting upstairs was a breeze! Now I savedthe best imoression for last- the outside deck/patio area was absolutely AMAZING! The pictures come close, but do not do it justice! As soon as we stepped outside, it was like being transported to an oasis! The river was gorgeous and clear, especialy after all the water traffic eases down. There was so much activity in the river, which would seem like a distraction at first, but honestly was quite welcoming and amounted to great people watching! Oh. And it didnt take long for us to see a mama manatee and her calf feeding just feet away from the deck. Over the course of the next two days, we would see countless manatees swimming back and forth, while we relaxed on the deck and became closer as a fam

Best spot on the river!

We live in St. Pete so not far from Weeki Watchi! The location of this property and accessibility to the springs is 1 of a kind. The house is amazing. Very clean and spacious. The outdoor area is even better. Lots of seating. The deck is great! Overall an amazing property and a great little staycation!

Our three generations of family fell in love with the river and the comfortable home right on the water. We kayaked and swam and got up close with the manatees. What a wonderful experience! Thanks for our favorite vacation! We even skipped Disney just to have more time in this beautiful paradise!

It was everything and more described on VRBO! Manatees all day long, everyone enjoyed people watching on the river, people would rate our music or dance by in there kayaks and boats. The guys fished in the Gulf, we floated down the river a few times. The manatees were the best nature experience. The accommodations were awesome, we used the kitchen and grill everyday! We will come back for another 4 days of good vibes. Thank you Summer and Steve, we really enjoyed your house and fixed a few things along the way!

We could not have been happier during our stay. It all immediately comes together when you step outside and see the crystal clear water and the manatees floating by. We spent all our time on the back deck, excluding sleeping…. Multitude of kayaks and paddle boards to use. Super convenient for launching from the dock. The deck furniture could probably use some updating, but that would be my only minor complaint- we were very happy with our stay. I highly recommend the location. My family thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Weeki Wachee house. One of our best family vacations. The house has everything that you need to feel at home. The view is really the best view on the river. We were either paddling , swimming or people watching. It was great! We had a blast. There is no need to go anywhere you have everything you need right there at the house to have a fabulous time. We can't wait to stay again!

Being directly on the spring makes this a great rental. The only downside is the allowance of motorized boats on this pristine small spring, I hope residents can speak up on this for future changes. Highly recommend this rental and visiting this part of FL!

We had an awesome stay here for spring break with the fam! The house was nice and the kitchen was awesome and big. The back deck area was awesome and we all enjoyed sitting out there watching people and the wildlife go by on the river. Saw lots of manatees swimming by! My only complaint were the noseums were so Insane I wish they would leave spray there for people to use. We obviously ended up going into town the next day and getting some but that first night we all looked like we had chicken pox from all the bites! Overall it was a great place, very private and an absolutely amazing view! Will be back!

This was a fun place to stay! Our teenagers were out on the kayaks and paddle boards within minutes of our arrival! So fun to see fish and manatees near us in the clear water.

Excellent vacation. Location is awesome!

I am going to leave this property at an absolute 5 star property because of all of the categories above. Great house, property, owners, etc. We couldn’t have been happier with the cleanliness and accommodations. However, and please take this feedback as only a personal preference for us, and nothing to do with the property. The river is very busy with weekend traffic on the water as expected (here and every other river), so privacy is very limited. The good news is the river is quiet in the early morning, and then later in the evening.

We have stayed at the Bear House a few times and love the location. The kitchen has been nicely renovated. There is plenty of space on the deck to sit with family and friends.

Peaceful spot on the river. Outstanding deck with updated kitchen and master bath. Summer was the property manager and was always available if needed. Hopefully will return next year.

We had a blast!! Thank you Summer for preparing the house for us! It was so clean and welcoming! We were there 4 days and never left, who needed to go anywhere else this place is amazing! The gorgeous water, the manatee, people watching, plenty of space, we enjoyed it all!!

We stayed at this house on the river for two nights after a week at Disney. This was the perfect way to wind down our vacation and relax for a couple of days of recharge & rest before driving 8 hours home to NC. We saw manatees and enjoyed the porch overlooking the River on our stay. This location is fabulous and I loved that it overlooks a nature preserve instead of housing across the River bank. 10/10 will stay again! Next time we will be making use of the kayaks available!

House has all that you need. The deck on the river is so peaceful. Canoes and kayaks make it super easy to explore the crystal clear river. We saw tons of manatees. What a great stay, we will be back!
