The layout is great and the home is spacious and comfortable. The location is also Terrific to walk or ride bicycles. The pool is also so nice to have. It is not heated but despite cool temps, we still enjoyed floating in it. The backyard gets great sun during day so even in cooler temps it felt warm laying outside. Would definitely recommend this home through Akers Ellis. Their customer service is the very best.

Reviewer Comments: This was a beautiful house with huge rooms (and a ton of light switches!). Very clean and well-maintained. We loved the close proximity to the beach path. We had 2 maintenance issues: 1) we requested that the pool be heated (which is the main reason we booked the house) but we were notified on day of arrival that it wasn't working. Said they'd send someone out to look at it but no one ever came. Kids were very disappointed. 2) the air conditioner in part of the house wasn't working. Again, they said they'd send someone out immediately to look at it but no one ever came. Aside from that, great trip. Kiawah is one of our favorite places.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have rented from Akers Ellis over the last five years and this is the first home that we were disappointed in. The home is in need of some tender loving care. It could really use great pressure washing and the cushions are needing to be replaced. The kitchen is lacking glasses and other housewares that we have always had in other homes. The ice maker was not working when we arrived for our week's stay, and Akers Ellis responded with a bag of ice within the hour. However, it was never fixed and we had to keep going to the store every day to purchase ice so we would have it for our coolers and to use for drinks. The toaster only worked on one side. The tv in the master would not work and the other bedrooms did not even have TVs. We know how Akers Ellis manages their properties and this home did not live up to what we are accustomed to seeing in their rental properties. I think the homeowner if they are going to continue to rent needs to do some updating and replenishing of supplies.

We used to rent via VRBO - but renting from Akers Ellis was cheaper - AND we get free bike rentals! I would highly recommend renting through them!! The only thing worth noting about this house - is the kitchen was NOT a stocked kitchen...bare bones for cooking - and because of COVID we ended up eating at the house. Also - no serving dishes. There were some in the cabinets with notes saying “Do not use these!” However, the house was so lovely - We would stay there again - and just know we have to bring items from home.
