Lovely house in a wonderful location!

Myself and 3 fellow gorgeous grannies treated ourselves to a weekend away at this beautiful Mossy point home and loved it so much! The house was beautiful, warm and clean and very well appointed. We loved walks along the water and easy access to the coffee shop. Our favourite spot was the verandah admiring the amazing view. Communication with the owner was super smooth and easy. We would love to return for another stay.

We loved staying here. You literally can't beat its location on the Tomaga River near the river mouth with northerly views towards the ocean. It's also opposite the Mossy Point Cafe and gallery which has great food and a relaxed atmosphere. The owners of the house are super friendly and helpful. We loved going for walks around the headland and taking our girls to Broulee beach. The house itself is very spacious and tastefully decorated, so we ate in all nights. A great place to relax and enjoy the south coast!

We had a wonderful stay at Mossy Point. The house is roomy and really well-equipped for a couple of families. Love the open plan and the view from the living room and deck, across the river to Tomakin is breathtaking! Im not naturally a morning person, but the promise of that sunrise view had me bounding out of bed with the sparrows! Literal stone's throw from the famous Mossy Cafe and a super easy walk to Candlagan Creek/Broulee Beach. Will definitely be back again!

The view from the balcony is definitely the highlight of this property. The kitchen is well appointed and we enjoyed our stay.

2020 had been busy as both my husband are “essential” services. So after months of long and stressful days ... we opened the door at Mossy Point and looked out the back door ...as calm of the river and scenery melted away the stress. A quick change and Stephen was standing on ‘his’ wharf ... he was in heaven. While I opened bottle of wine and started reading my book on the balcony ... heaven. The Mossy Point Cafe is a destination on its own - food and service perfect. And we loved the burgers at Smoky Dan ... yummy. While Mossy Point is quiet ... there is plenty to do ... kayaking along the river (and more fishing at the boat ramp) where The Boatshed had great light meals and coffee.... and wander through Mongo shops and Zoo was a fun day. Then back at ‘home’ ... as it felt like home. With all the comforts you want... soft beds, well equip kitchen and plenty of living space both inside and outside - plus good water pressure in the shower(!).... It all went too soon ... though we are refreshed and ready for what else 2020 might hold. Thanks Mossy Point ... we will be back.

On arriving at Mossy Point ( Hidden Paradise) for the first time we were pleasantly surprised that our house for the next 3 nights was a exact reflection of the photo’s on Stayz if not better. The residence is situated in one of the most pristine and pretty parts of the South Coast where it was easy to fish from the Private Jetty, boating on the river or the open ocean, surfing ,walking on some great tracks on the beach and in the bush and many more outdoor activities for all ages. The house is presented as a home away from home and this made it an enjoyable, easy, and relaxing break. Great deck, abundance of all the mod cons, plenty of games, activities and picture perfect views from all parts of the property (wish we had more time to stay longer). This short notice stay was made so easy with the special attention to detail by our host Simone. Do yourself a favour and book a holiday at the Private Spillway and Jetty at Mossy Point.

Great location, clean and comfy home with everything you need. Fantastic view and easy, friendly comunication and booking process.

Great communication with the owner, lovely unpretentious house with well equipped kitchen. The boys (12 and 13) spent hours playing table tennis and darts, the girls (15 and 16) some of that and skateboarding nearby, in addition to the winter beach walks, kayaking in the river (nearby place) with adults and even swimming (freezing - it is July!). Evenings with the fire, playing games... just lovely. Thanks!

We had a perfect winter long weekend at this property in Mossy Point. The house was perfect for our group of three families with youngish children. We loved walking straight out from the deck, onto the grass and along the estuary. Thanks for having us!

Early morning wake ups with the sun above the sea line was amazing, The weather was amazing the entire time of our stay, it had great entertainment for the kids and perfect for us adults to just sit back and enjoy the getaway, bbq, ping pong, darks, board games, water access with a private jetty made it very hard to be bored, beach only just in front of us made it feel like a holiday every day! So easy and an enjoyable time our family had at this place, we would definitely stay again!!

Fantastic house for a family and beautiful location.

Our stay was most enjoyable we loved the open plan living and fully equipped kitchen. We also loved the beautiful water views from the decking. The house is a great place to stay with family and friends close to the water. The house is very clean. Highly recommended. Thank you Simone for our stay.

Simone is a wonderful host who was responsive to any questions and resolved all issues promptly. The home is beautiful and cosy, although perhaps the bathrooms could be updated soon. The kitchen was ample and well stocked, and the deck amazingly spacious. The second full size fridge in the laundry was really handy for drinks and desserts. The proximity to the water and the private jetty was very convenient - the kids got to see sting-rays, turtles, octopus, crabs, shrimp, and all manner of fish. With boogie boards we were easily able to swim across the river to the sandy bank and beach on the other side. An amazing location with something for everyone to enjoy.

We had a wonderful time at Mossy Point Waterfront. The large balcony was well used and we loved fishing at the pier. The air conditioner was a saviour throughout the heat wave. Spacious and comfortable house for the family holiday.

The house was exactly as described and worked well for two families. (4 adults 3 kids). The interior was spotless and the grounds very well kept. Having stayed close by 35 years ago the location was exactly as we remembered. The views over the river and ocean are superb. Simone was great to deal with and the fishing and oysters were plentiful. It may be a long way from Melbourne, especially towing a boat, but it is well and truly worth it. It was very easy to keep three teenage kids occupied and they would go back in a minute. Thanks for the opportunity to stay in Mossy once again.

We recently stayed at Mossy Point Waterfront with our family for the second time. It is a perfect house for a large extended family like mine, or for two families who wish to share. The kitchen and living room are huge and extremely well equipped. The furniture is very comfortable and very practical. There are four bedrooms, two bathrooms and a laundry, and on our arrival, we found the house to be immaculate and very well maintained. The most striking feature of this property is the fabulous decking at the back of the living area, with breathtaking views over the inlet. The house is located in a perfect position diagonally opposite the famous muffin shop and within walking distance of so many lovely places in all directions. The owners are wonderful to communicate with before your stay commences and they are very obliging with regard to answering any queries. My family hopes to return in the near future as we all had such an enjoyable and relaxing time there, and we would all have no hesitation in recommending this property to anyone who is looking for a fantastic holiday house in an amazing location. Thank you to the owners for all the little extras that were provided.

This is our second time at this great house. Location is perfect, views across the river and walk to the beach. Very comfortable for two families with young adult/teenage children (would suit all ages). All you need is available, beds are comfortable and plenty of space to spread out. The cafe is just across the road for great breakfast, coffee and lunch. Shops nearby and we enjoyed bbqs on the deck. Simone is great to deal with and was very helpful with working out a deposit issue for which we were grateful. Would definitely stay here again.
