Great dock and access to open water! Everything you need is there.

This was a wonderful week in a delightful cottage on the water. Responsive hosts, clean and tidy home, beautiful setting, well appointed kitchen and comfy relaxing vacation venue!!

Pro's Location, of course comfort was good, the unit is dated, although it has had some recent upgrades. has everything you need for a pleasant stay. beds were comfortable, fortunately one of the beds was low enough for my wife to get in and out of, the other one sat way too high. Furnishings were comfortable. The kitchen had everything you needed. CON's Cleanliness was mediocre at best. Pet peeve, dirty ceiling fans they hadn't been cleaned in a while. Floors by the windows had a line of dead bugs, probably from bug spray. Fortunately, we didn't have any live bugs. Fit and finish looked like it had been done by unskilled labor. trim on the walls was poorly done. We found a hole in the wall after a picture had fallen off the wall covering it. Unit just felt dated overall. Kitchen was well stocked, but with cheesy plastic and mixed matched everything. We found after looking for utensils that some of this stuff should have been disposed of ages ago. There were several knives, and misc. utensils that were rusted and just nasty. If anything, it was overstocked with junk, and stuff I wouldn't use or touch. Some of the lighting was missing bulbs or had burned out bulbs. OVERALL Thoughts As mentioned, it has everything for relative comfort. It has no frills or high-end amenities. This is just a unit put together as a moneymaker rental. Would I stay here again, probably, but I'd have to get a great deal to do it knowing how it looked and felt.

Down for a week with our boat and the place was perfect for our needs. The onsite boat ramp, marina with gas pumps, and the convenience store with bait, ice and drinks made it easy to prep for our boat/fish trips. Area has some great restaurants nearby, too. Highly recommend this place.

Location of the property was ideal for my 3 sons who love to fish and love the water. Beautiful sunrise. Great location to see the Florida Keys as well. Plan to return in the future. We loved it.

The AC won’t go below 70, I have mine at 68 and expect to be as comfortable when on vacation. The second bedroom with the queen bed is small- there about a foot at the end of the bed to walk around and get in. Bed was so uncomfortable my husband slept on the couch after two night. No place to se you suitcase except the bed when getting clothes out. One side of the bed is at door frame. Hall bathroom fan sounds like a jet with bad engine taking off. No ice maker in the fridge. Towels are old, worn and scratchy. The entire house shakes when the washing machine is on. There are soft spots in 5 places of the floor. The blinds in the living room work poorly. Recycle day is Wednesday but where is the recycle bin? The house needs a major well done renovation. This house is old and been patched and redone poorly. I go on vacation and expect accommodations to be at least as good as I live in and prefers to have them better for that short period of time. This was a total disappointment, the dishes are goodwill rejects. I understand not having not glass or china but they could have nice melamine dishes- that match. They have super thin plastic junk. The pots and pans are as thin and cheap as possible. I expect more. There is no shade outside so don’t expect to use the grill unless you want to cook at 9 or roast yourself. neighborhood is ridiculous- we pulled out boat down is an F250 double cab, we got two notices to get tires off the asphalt, small dri

The property was listed at central AC but has been updated since my complaint, absolutely no ventilation in the bathrooms while the door is shut for privacy. I contacted VRBO and sent proof w/pictures of thermostat set on 70 but the actual temperature reads 75 degrees with 75 humidity and the conversation with host that proves backup of my statement. I tried reasoning with host saying the AC wall boxes are not strong enough to cool the unit unless the temperature is lowered,he said no he cannot lower the temperature, he feels it is cool enough. A assistant sent over by host saw temperature and agreed with temperature being uncomfortable. I told her I was hospitalized two years ago w/ Covid double pneumonia and have glass nodules on my lungs and had an asthma attack the 1st night due to uncomfortable temperature in the unit. Within an hour, Mrs. Knox called saying I’m an on a recorded line, she said I told the assistant that I felt unsafe that I needed to leave the premises and she would issue a full refund. Repeatedly telling her that at no time did I tell anyone that I felt unsafe simply just wanted the thermostat lowered to a comfortable temperature.This was absolutely devastating to us, pulling a 24 ft boat 17 hrs from GA, paying $4200 & $245 for storage/property fee. Then to be told we need to leave, it takes a cold hearted person to do this because you’re afraid of a lawsuit for my health condition. Unbelievable! We toughed it out for 2 wks, we had no place to go.

My family and I had a spectacular time while staying at this canal front home. The entire community felt welcoming upon arrival and throughout our stay - a very accommodating resort. The pool was wonderful in the evenings. Having family join us with a 2nd car was easy - the entry gate personnel were kind & professional. The home itself was everything we had hoped for and beyond. I love to cook so we bought fresh shrimp (Keys Fisheries) steamed them and also made shrimp & grits from scratch. The kitchen had everything I needed. Even a little coffee and filters to get us started until we made it to the store. Our grands loved fishing from the dock - the neighbors were so nice. Did not make us feel like renters at all. The canal is gorgeous and I must say the sea life is abundant within it. A manatee enjoyed a lengthy stay right in front of the dock!!! Sea birds were abundant - a great white heron joined us for dinner one night as we ate at the nice table on the dock. I felt the owners, Jessica & Dennis were only one DIRECT phone call away in case of emergency. They were fabulous and even offered restaurant recommendations to us. This property is great! So many different kinds of fish right out the back door. AC works great and the house has everything you need for a comfortable stay! The kids love to fish on the dock all day and all night. We will definitely be back! Owners were very informative and available if needed!

Overall, my family and I had a great trip to the keys and this place in Adventure out was a good home base. We were visiting family that lives down there, and the location was perfect for getting picked up in their boat in the mornings. There is also space to park a boat if you are renting one. The actual space itself seems a little bigger than the photos. Check in was easy, and there was good communication when we had questions. They didn’t have some of the basic items I’ve come to expect in rentals like this, but they did have a few things to get us started - a few toilet paper rolls, paper towels, a few laundry pods and bar hand soap. Any other household items be sure to bring or just be prepared to swing by the store after you visit. The Wi-Fi works well and they had multiple streaming services logged into which might have just been previous guests but worked out nicely. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of pots/pans/etc to cook a nice meal. They have a dishwasher also. We enjoyed sitting at the table outside with coffee in the morning for the views and breeze. Would recommend.

Overall it was a good place to stay right on the channel and 3 houses down from the open water! Perfect set up to fish from the sea wall and we rented a boat and tied it up very easily from the sea wall. The furnishings in the house were great (blankets, pillows, towels, pots and pans, utensils, etc). The only problem we ran into was the thermostat and it being motion sensitive so if we went to the pool or outside fishing for a couple hours, the temperature in the house would go up to 76 or 78 degrees and would take several hours to get back down to 71 (the lowest setting you could set it to so it doesn’t freeze up the unit). Same thing with overnight when we were sleeping. The owner Dennis helped with the setting for overnight and had someone to come over because they were going to get a new air conditioning unti.

This is a double wide trailer, right on the water. The door is in the rear of the trailer. The 80 ft Pool and Spa were great. The pool is kept at a very warm temperature which is perfect for aging joints. Lots of fun.

Enjoyed our 2 week stay. The house was clean and spacious and relaxing. Loved being on the water. My husband made good use of the pickleball court and met a lot of new friends. My favorite was relaxing in the pool. We would definitely consider coming back next year. Dennis was so helpful with a few things we needed and he followed up with us to make sure our needs were met.

Great place! Love the view from the dock! Easy to get the boat in and out! Nice, clean, quiet relaxing. Neighbors are great. The place made it one of our best vacations ever!

My husband is wheelchair bound (manual chair) and this was the best place to stay in the keys. Close enough to key west to easily drive there, but always far enough away to relax. The property was clean and easy for my husband to access. Dennis was very easy to work with. We will definitely stay here next time we plan a trip to the keys!

The home was small and aged a little but in great shape and very clean and comfortable. Having easy access to dock boat and quick access out to the bay was real nice. Across the channel while there are homes on the other side this home had views of nice bushes and we watched for the reptile life and got to see quite a number of them. Resort itself was clean, we only used the pool and hot tub and also the marina to fuel boat.

We had the most amazing week at Blue Haven. The house was perfect with everything we needed. Plenty of extra towels and linens available! The master bed was so comfortable. We really enjoyed the sea wall and being able to have our boat right there. The community is fantastic with pretty much all you need right there. We will most definitely book here again!

We enjoyed our stay here. The house had everything we needed for a relaxing stay and the master bed was comfortable. Very convenient location to Key West without staying in town. We enjoyed watching the tropical fish right outside of the house and loved that the property has 24 hr security. We bought fish and lobster tails at the seafood market up the road and grilled one night, the kitchen had everything we needed to cook. This is our 3rd trip to the keys and by far the best accommodations. We hope to stay here again in the future.

Great view of the ocean. Very clean property. Awesome to have a place to put the boat. We had the best time and will be back!!

We were so happy with our stay here! The unit was in the back, away from the busyness of the rest of the place and has amazing views of the sunrise and not looking out at other RVs. We caught fish right out the back door on the canal and it was so much fun! We even saw 2 sharks. There was a very nice Weber grill and fish cleaning station. The unit was clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again. Also perfect location, close enough to Key West, without all the craziness. Great snorkeling at Bahia Honda State Park nearby too!

We had a wonderful time in the Keys. I love that the property is located close to Key West but far away enough to enjoy the serenity of nature. My husband had a bad knee so sitting just in front of the lodge, he was able to spend the day fishing. I also loved the bright cheerful colors of the unit.

We enjoyed our vacation and loved the Home. It was so close to everything & lots to do. I hope we are able to return in the future.

We loved this property. Situated right on the edge of Venture out, the canal wasn’t busy, the views were amazing and we caught and were able to see some awesome fish. The property owner was very responsive and helpful. On just the second day, we locked ourselves out of the property and within 5 minutes help arrived to let us in. We definitely look forward to staying here again!

Great location down in The Lower Keys (only about 20 miles from Key West and 15 from Big Pine Key). If you’re looking for an affordable stay in The. Keys you simply can’t beat this rental. All pictures of the house are accurate and the location within the canal is great (especially for anyone visiting with a boat). We will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to The Keys.

Everything about this place is awesome! You’re right in the middle of everything. Key west is 25 minutes and Islamorada 1 hour. The ground the house is on is super clean and everyone is real friendly. The house..in the pictures it looks nice so we were excited from the get go but when we arrived it was almost jaw dropping. The house is super cute and right at the mouth of the canal so in the evenings you get the breeze and the morning you get the sunrise. Great place to stay and definitely will try to book this place again!

What a wonderful cottage on the water! Quiet, relaxing, comfortable and beautiful sunset and sunrise views! It was perfect for the four of us and everything you need is already there! The kitchen is fully stocked with everything! It was cozy and cute as can be. The owner, Dennis, is the most gracious host and always responds promptly. He goes over and beyond to make sure his guest are taken care of and has all the information for everything you need. We had our 24 foot boat with us and it fit perfectly in the canal beside the house. The neighbors that have the houses on each side were so nice and friendly also. Venture Out is a wonderful place to vacation and this cottage, and Dennis, made it all even more pleasurable. All the little fish at the seawall of the house were so fun to watch. There were different colors of Parrot fish, sergeant majors, angel fish, mangrove snapper, and little barracuda. We all really hated to leave this little gem but we will definitely be back soon!! Loved loved loved it!!!

Fabulous house in Venture Out Resort clean and has everything you need for your stay, handicap accessible as well. Can have your boat right there with you. Owners have great communication.

Property is old and well worn down. The community itself is an RV park which I didn’t know…property was dirty in that floors were not cleaned so being barefoot was ugly. Mattress in 2nd bedroom is old and uncomfortable. We were gone a lot visiting family on sugarloaf so we used it primarily just to sleep and shower at…it served those purposes but did not want family being there as I was embarrassed. The owners were very nice people but they need to put some money into the property if they want to continue to have guests.?
