Enjoyed our stay here to celebrate the 4th of July. Perfectly located by the beach and we were able to watch the fireworks from the front patio without having to worry about parking or other people. Would definitely stay here again in the future!

This is an old house, but it is wonderfully maintained and updated. Beautiful, specious, and in a great location. Several restrictions within walking distance and two beach access points right across the street. The Jax Beach Pier is also just down the road. If you're looking for a relaxing beach stay that is also convenient to town, food, sopping etc... then this is the perfect house for you! Darlene is also very communicative and will answer any questions almost immediately. She can also reccomend things to do if you are unfamiliar with the area.

We had a great time staying at the beach cottage. It is a perfect location to be right in the mix of things and so close to the beach. The layout is cute and has everything you can think of to use for cooking, beaching, and having a great time!

I stayed here with my granddaughter to recuperate for the first two weeks after surgery at nearby Mayo Clinic…the home is charming, with lots of little touches, and Darlene is a responsive and gracious host! Five stars!

This is a great little house for easy access to the beach.
The owner has thought of just about everything you'll need or want, and then some. Comfortable bed, very clean, well appointed with more than you'll likely need for a comfortable stay. Off-street parking included.
The beach is like most in this area. It can be narrow at high tide and crowded at peak times and/or holidays. But a visit in the morning or evening will enhance the experience. I would rent this property again without hesitation.

The most charming beach cottage just steps away from the ocean! We enjoyed walking to the beach, to restaurants, and to ice cream shops. We visited the Jacksonville Zoo, which was only about 30 minutes away. My daughter loved skim boarding with the provided skim boards. The house was perfect...we enjoyed the front screened porch in the mornings with coffee and the evenings with a cocktail. It felt more like someone's home than a rental, which is so appreciated. We hope to stay here again and have already recommended this home to others!

As soon as I walked in, I knew we were in for a treat. This vintage beach cottage was cozy, clean and very tastefully decorated without feeling trendy. The kitchen cupboards were filled with spices and all the necessary items we would need for our stay. The beds were comfortable too. We enjoyed relaxing on the porch, while people watching and loved being just yards from the beach. We will definitely return.

We had a great stay! The property manager was extremely responsive and gave great recommendations for restaurants and things to do in the area. The house also came with everything we needed the entire stay - including small perks like coffee and wine! We would definitely stay here again!

Older vintage home with fantastic renovation update that keeps the old vibe, but is clean, tasteful, and all in great shape. The beds and linens are comfortable, the kitchen has all you need, and the screened-in porch is a happy place waiting to happen! Darlene is responsive and easy to deal with.

The location of the house is amazing! Just steps from the beach access! Lots of nice Sidewalks to take you there. Everything we could possibly need except remote batteries, couldn't even use the TV because the remote batteries were dead as well as the ones that were in the drawer. That wasn't a deal breaker though, just wanted to the kids to chill for a while and the TV usually occupies them for a bit. Overall great vacation, kitchen is well equipped, beds are comfy and plenty of linens and pillows!

We had a wonderful stay here on Jacksonville Beach! Darlene was a spectacular hostess, and her home had everything we could have possibly needed for a comfortable stay. Her property was impeccably clean, steps from the beach and close to anything we needed. We loved this home, and we can't wait to come back!! Superb!

This was truly a home away from home. Darlene had everything you need to make things as comfortable as possible. Not to mention a warm welcoming gift and super sweet card. This is a true beach home. Beautiful front porch and right across the street from the beach. Woke up early every morning, made a pot of coffee, poured a cup, and walked to the beach to watch the sunrise. Sat on the porch every afternoon and watched all of the people walking and biking. The kids also had plenty to do while we were relaxing at the house from watching tv to playing with the toys that were furnished. The neighbors are extremely sweet as well! Just all around amazing location and amazing place to stay. I hated to leave but can't wait to go back.

This is my first VRBO experience and thanks to Darlene and her cozy cottage I envision many more opportunities. The photos and description posted are accurate. The location is perfect for a walk on the beach or to the local festival, shops and restaurants. Darlene thought of everything needed even down to the kids games and beach chairs.
