Unfortunately we couldn’t stay after all. We didn’t receive check in details and were unable to contact the host so had to book elsewhere at 2pm!!!

Lovely home and the perfect location for easy access to the beach and shops.

Property was as described. Very comfortable accommodation and location is in the heart of Ocean Grove( Everything is in walking distance ).

After having a great 2 days at the house, I was EXTREMELY disappointed to have a claim for an extra $200 raised against me, for breaking the fridge door handle 10 days after we had left (this would not happen on that other accommodation website). Yes that’s right 10 days later.
We DID NOT break the handle!!!
I immediately tried to dispute this claim (which is in progress 2024-03-07)
I know that the Stayz conditions allow a complaint against the tenant to be lodged up to 14 days after the stay, but it is ridiculous that an extra charge can be added without any proof. The way I see it, in order to prove that I (or one of my friends/family) have allegedly damaged the fridge door handle, 3 things would need to be provided. 1. A photo of the damage. 2. An explanation of why the cleaner (or whoever cleaned the house after we left) took 10 days to notify the host, and 3. proof that nobody else has stayed in the house since us…. otherwise how can you say that the damage was caused by us and not by the subsequent tenant/s.
Lastly… I am rather DISAPPOINTED, in this whole affair, because it frames me as being deceitful and dishonest, as well as rough and clumsy with the property. I know the handle was not damaged by myself or the people I stayed with, simply due to the fact, that if something had happened to the handle, while we are there, I would have notified you (host) after departing.

Cherie is a fabulous host. The property is immaculate and you can't get a better location. Great for 2 couples as there are 2 queen beds and 2 bathrooms. Nice outdoor space to enjoy a cup of tea, a glass of wine and BBQ. Walk everyone you need to only ..... 2 minutes to the main street! If you're heading to Ocean Grove, do yourself a favour and book this place!

My two mates and I absolutely loved our stay at Garden Grove. Spacious, clean and comfortable all in walking distance to the beach, cafes and restaurants. Would definitely return!

Lovely property, bathrooms clean but floors needed a vacuum , dust on side tables. Great location, great house. We would go back.

Had a wonderful stay. Home is in the perfect location, 100 meters to shopping strip and cafes and 500m to surf beach.
Home is well appointed with comfy beds.
Cherie was a fantastic host and great communicator.

The property is very clean and neat, with 3 good size bedrooms.
Near to amenities, Coles, restaurants, beach, all within walking distance.
We were planning to have BBQ on the 2nd night, but being winter, it got dark early, and there wasn't good lighting at the BBQ pit. Ended up cooking those BBQ food instead. Would be good if the area is better lit.
Will book again in future if going that way.

The house was perfect for our needs, very comfortable and clean.
Walking distance to supermarket and shopping centre and less than 15 minute drive to golf courses.

We stayed at Ocean Grove for a family wedding and shared the house with our daughter and her family. We loved the location with shops and cafes close at hand as well as a park for the kids and the beach as well. It was also great that there were two separate living areas upstairs and down. The kitchen was a great size and stocked with everything we needed. The BBQ also came in handy and the outdoor area would be greater in the warmer weather. Our only criticism would be that the water pressure in the showers was very low and took quite a while for the water to heat up. We also found used coffee pods in the coffee machine which should have been emptied by the previous guests.
Overall we were very happy with our stay and would definitely recommend to others.

Excellent once again. Unfortunately didn't check if wifi was available and daughter and family left one day early to access for school homework. We stayed with adults last visit and wifi not essential. Thank you

Fabulous location. We loved the house fabulous design. However the beds were not up to our standard & neither was the lounge suite - comfort nil for both! However the kitchen was wonderfully equipped as was the laundry ! The small delightful garden would be wonderful in the warmer weather. With some attractive doona covers, new beds, new lounge suites down & upstairs it would be amazing!

We were a multi generational family group in town for a wedding. The house was perfect for our needs. Space for all & having two bathrooms meant getting everyone ready was easy. Good location, nice cafe next door for day after recovery. The driveway is on a strange angle & can only be entered from one direction.
My only suggestion is maybe they need to add a couple of hanging hooks on the upstairs bedroom walls for suits etc. Overall it was perfect for our needs.
