Great and friendly owner, beautiful garden. Calming place.

The gardens were amazing. Rooms were comfy. Everything you need was in the kitchen. Fresh fruit growing in the garden and a great host.

Everything, the location is superb for relaxation and taking in the natural surroundings. You can see the water from the property but are also surrounded by trees, fruit, wildlife. The host was amazing, very helpful and great to chat to.

The only thing I could mention is there is no air con, however there is a fan in the room which was sufficient.

It is such a relaxing place. You immediately feel at home. My host made me comfortable, filled the fridge everyday with delicious fruits and helped me a lot by driving my friend to Santa Theresa.

An absolutely stunning house with gorgeous extensive grounds. You won’t find peace and quiet like this elsewhere in Montezuma, and we loved every second we spent here! We saw so much wildlife on the property and the owner, Ype, often pointed out birds and animals in the garden. It’s a couple of miles out of town, and not really walkable, but this is what makes it such a secluded spot - and Ype offers a lift on his quad bike every day, which is great fun in itself! There is also a great kitchen so you can enjoy cooking meals and eating them with a stunning view. Ype could not have made us feel more welcome and was always on hand if we needed him. Staying here is a real experience, and we would love to come again! His website has some great pictures of the location, too.

very friendly host placed eggs, a whole pineapple, bread, butter, jam, 2 bananas in a fridge for us, and allowed us full use of the well equipped kitchen; dining table outside with nice view of pacific ocean. while no AC, bed had an efficient mosquito net.

inn is very hard to find, even with GPS. host's instructions were not easy to follow; he could have emailed a detailed map. Advice: print out a very detailed approach map from Cabano (not from Montezuma). Roads were the typical awful, as found in many places in Costa Rica.

The best hotel I never have. The place was wonderful, the host kind and very helpful in all ways. Definitely recommend it!

Amazing accommodation. We loved our stay there. The garden around the property is great for wildlife spotting (a troop of capuchin monkeys came by one morning) and the view to the sea is spectacular. Very hospitable and helpful host (thank you!). We would definitely go there again.

This place really is a little gem in Montezuma! I was taken care of so well and it really feels like a home where you get your own fridge and can roam the grounds freely. You’re super close to nature and will be able to see all sorts of animals! It’s a little bit away from “down town” Montezuma which I personally appreciated.

This was an incredible place to stay - amazing views out to sea, lovely communal areas with a very well equipped kitchen, and comfortable rooms. The host is so friendly and helpful, he even drove us down to the town on his quad bike to save us getting a taxi to the bus stop.

It is a little way from the town, you will need to take a taxi if you don't have a car.

Brilliant host, amazing breakfast (with separate fridges for each group) and a very beautiful house with a great view!! Ype was really helpful our whole stay, and you can pick your own fruit if wanted. Would love to come back one day

it's quite far from Montezuma, be prepared to drive around 15 minutes as the roads are very bumpy - you have to prepare your breakfast yourself, so it feels more like a hostel than a hotel

We could make breakfast, provided by the owner, in the communal kitchen. Beautiful grounds surrounding the house. Could pick fresh grapefruit, mandarins and star fruit off the trees. Lovely cats and dogs. The house was very comfortable and accessible. The Owner has a wealth of information about the area.

Cameras throughout house. Don’t think they were in the bedrooms/bathrooms? Laundry $5 U.S. a load. The roads were harrowing getting to and from Montezuma.

As a solo traveller without having a car, I wasn’t completely sure if it would make more sense to stay in Montezuma directly. However, I was looking for a bit more of a peaceful and special place outside the Montezuma tourism hotspot. The photos of this stay looked great, but honestly they don’t show how unique my experience was. The house is very spacious with amazing views on one site into the Jungle, on the other site over the ocean and also onto a huge, really well care-taken garden. You wake up with the sounds of animals and the ocean, there are also 3 dogs and a few cats around (my paradise! 😍). The host put a lot of love into details and making sure that I was comfortable and have everything I need. I even got my own fridge with breakfast to eat, fresh fruits from the garden and was allowed to take a glass of red wine from his collection. During the days I was mostly on hikes or in Montezuma. I either got a ride (on a quad by the host 👌), took a cab for 10$ or simply walked (30 mins). When you walk it’s a bit steep at some spots, but I enjoyed especially the walks a lot and implemented them as my daily exercise. I was very grateful for spending the time here in a quiet space and decide myself when I want to have it a bit more hectic. While in Montezuma it was mostly really hot, there was a nice fresh breeze here up the hill. The house has everything you need from a well-equipped kitchen and terrace overlooking the ocean, a big salon, enough space to do yoga/ meditation (with a view! 🌊) and clean rooms/ bathrooms. My stay here was one of my highlights in Costa Rica so far and I event extended my stay a few days longer. I can really recommend this place! 💛

I loved everything, the location, the views, the set up of the rooms, the spaciousness of the house, the other interesting visitors…..the way the owner made me so comfortable and welcome!

There is nothing I could say I didn’t like about the property. if there was anything I needed then the owner fixed it straight away.

A bit of trek from Montezuma centre but worth the hustle but the super host will give you one free daily ride into town! Amazing location with a spacious garden, comfortable beds, breakfast provided every morning and access to the kitchen. Bonus: Start off the day with monkeys hanging out in the morning

Transport is needed to get to the location unless you don't mind a good sweat!

Stunning view and spacious. Very clean, fully equipped kitchen with even different options to make your coffee. Quiet and private! Great breakfast. The owner is very welcoming and helpful in any questions you have. Highly recommended.
