We received a very warm welcome from Sarah. The room was big and comfortable and the location was perfect for us.

it was very homey and Sarah was just so available ,kind and accommodating

just the carpet in the room was triggering my sinuses if that could be sorted everything will be great

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms are roomy and comfortable with en-suite facilities. As a vegan family, we were catered for at breakfast with a lovely spread of fruit, toast, avocado, fried tomatoes and mushrooms - delicious. We were also provided with plant milk and spread. All very much appreciated.

Sarah and John are extremely friendly and helpful in any possible way. We left with the feeling to leave friends.

Sarah was great. Pick-up from the airport was arranged. We were welcomed in the middle of the night. Breakfast was great. Were were helped with advice and also booking an uber. Nothing was too much. And it was a very pleasant and joyfull stay with Sarah and the other guests. I recommened this strongly

The familiar atmosphere is like visiting friends. We enjoyed the breakfast at a table for all guests as a community. A relaxing pool area is really refreshing on hot summer days. The walking distance to "Foresters Arms" , a wonderful old Pub, and the Newlands Brewery is perfect. The accomodation is in a nice and green area, where you can walk safely and restaurants and the Botanical Garden Kirstenbosch are close by.

There was no light for loadshedding in our room. I missed a hairdryer.

There was no aircon, or even a fan, in the room, and Cape Town was suffering extreme heat (37 deg C), so it was a hot night's 'rest'. Also a group of guests continued their noisy 'party' next to the pool until well after 10pm.

Sarah and John are the most delightful hosts. They helped happily and accurately with every query. Sarah was able to help us with extra days accommodation which was much appreciated as the guest house is deservedly popular. This oasis of calm in a busy world represents great value for money. Newlands Guest house is set in the most wonderful green garden, with views of the mountain and a great pool area. It’s so well located for all jumping off points to explore the delights of Cape Town and further afield. We are sad to be leaving but will assuredly be back.

Very comfortable beds, good shower. Excellent location within walking distance to restaurants. Friendly host. Appreciated info on load shedding times, a rechargeable light in room will be appreciated. Our second stay, will stay again.

All was great

Sarah was simply lovely, everything was fine, breakfast, room and service. Gentle people and nice place. her husband help us and made a booking for us in a restaurant. the dog is so friendly like all the family🥰

This is a family run cute nice little place. I liked the family atmosphere. Breakfast was done with love and rooms very very well kept. Its in the nature and the place is very quiet.

Sarah & John were really great hosts. They were so welcoming and friendly. They made us feel at home. They were so helpful in terms of where to go and how to get there in CT. The place is also very neat.

There wasn't anything we didn't like. We really enjoyed our stay there. We were taken care of even during loadshedding.

Perfect stay if you want to relax, go for a hike and enjoy the sounds of nature, or enjoy a hearty meal at the nearby 'gardeners cottage' restaurant. Sarah was the best host!! Very helpful and friendly. Spacious and comfortable rooms with shared access to garden and pool.

Sarah and John are phenomenal

Very quiet and near to shops and restaurants. The breakfasts were excellent. The ensuite room was clean.

I stayed in the smallest room and I expect they do not get many single guests. It could do with a new carpet and a new bath towel.
