The attention to detail really set The Barn apart. Beautifully decorated with all accoutrements. The breakfast was lush. We are very seasoned and frequent travellers and would rate this in the top 3 of B&Bs ever.

The only issue was internet connection. Although wi-fi information is provided, the signal was very poor. I had to cancel a work meeting as wi-fi was quite weak the village is a signal black spot.

Friendly, clean and good location

This was a Christmas gift for my parents, neice and her partner, I live overseas and unable to join them. They had a wonderful time, the rooms were beautiful and the breakfast was divine. As for the friendly hosts, they went beyond what was expected, looking after my family exceedingly well. They were also happy to put the presents that I sent in there rooms for their arrival. Would thoroughly recommend.

Our stay was faultless. We received a very friendly welcome and on arrival were offered tea or coffee, provided by our hostess and served with delicious biscuits. There was also a well laden hospitality tray in the bedroom. The bed was large and supremely comfortable and the bath towels were beautifully soft and cosy. There were even complimentary slippers supplied. Breakfast was a la carte with a very varied selection and our choice of a ‘Full English’ breakfast was delicious. Everything was perfect.

Absolutely nothing - the accommodation was perfection. The property is on a busy road, which some might think will cause a disturbance, but the widows have been triple glazed to minimise any traffic noise. We were not disturbed at all.

Parking was a little challenging for our big car, but we worked in out.

One of the most sensible, thoughtfully, and tastefully designed and furnished B&Bs I have ever seen. A marvellously good job of converting an old building. The bed was fantastic - spacious and amazingly comfortable. Having an air conditioning unit helped keep the air fresh and dry even if not needed for temperature. The triple glazing was really effective and the room was very quiet. It was easy to reach and there was good off-road parking. There were many little touches which made it such a pleasing experience, such as the home-made cookies in the room, the packs of tissues, the bedroom slippers, etc.

The host was lovely, the room was beautiful and the bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I have ever slept in (and I stay in a lot).

unfortunately there was something in the toilet when I got there. it could have been feedback as the toilet has a macerater, but it just looked like someone had a wee and didn’t flush. Also, there was mud or and dirt on the bed sheet. I don’t know how this was missed when cleaning the room but I slept in dirty bed. I could have asked for new bedding but it was late and I didn’t want to disturb anyone.

A great find; very friendly hosts; lovely room with lots of nice touches including more than enough tea, coffee and biscuits - including locally made cookies; fabulous breakfast with lots of options; a number of food options for evening meal in the village; 30 minutes from Leeds - we booked for cricket at Headingley.

Nothing jumps to mind. Would definitely book again and recommend.
