Very nice staff, got a nice room with a desk, comfortable beds.

This is a hostel as a hostel should be: it has a community, people with which you can have a chat. Most 'vandrarhems' I visited were devoid of people.

Cozy place to stay one or a few nights. Close to Kalmar and Karlskrona, a lovely harbor and great for a stroll.

Flexibility

The harbor is walking distance and location is a plus. Bergkvara is a small scenic little town close to Kalmar and Oland. Ideal place to rest overnight and continue your journey and most of the guests were doing exactly that. Its unfortunate the B&B does not serve hot breakfast.

The property in its present state is a wasted opportunity and is a bit of a letdown considering its scenic location. The facilities are basic at best and since the B&B does not offer breakfast to its guests, its basically a place to sleep. Its sad because the location is perfect for those visiting Kalmar / Oland or onwards and a little maintenance and effort can really liven up and improve the prospects of the property. It's highly rated in boooking.com but does not live up to it.
