The only good thing about this property is the convenient location.

The owner refused to let us in when we got there. She made us forward photos of ID to her before she would give us the key code. We were literally stood on the doorstep for ages trying to sort this out with her via WhatsApp & phone calls. She wanted to know the purpose of our visit & sent us a message saying only 4 people could stay (we booked for 6). It was all very strange. When she eventually gave us the code, we entered the property to find it in poor condition. Dirty, broken furniture, broken curtain rails, leaking toilet (brown water stain on ceiling from the leak), plus many other issues. We also found nos gas canisters laying around. We had no choice but to stay there as we had travelled a long way and were meeting with family who live nearby. We couldn’t wait to leave the next day. I have since complained to her but she hasn’t had the curtesy to reply. I wanted to discuss this with the owner but as she won’t reply to me, I can only leave this review and warn people not to stay there.

While the rest of the house was OK the "well equipped" kitchen was FILTHY. Every surface was sticky and we had to clean even the cupboard and drawers before we could have dinner. The oven was very dirty and we hadnt packed stuff for cleaning an oven. The microwave was also dirty. However we bought an oven ready meal and a salad. When we put the oven on to cook it made a horrible LOUD clanging sound, but at least it did get hot. Fortunately we tried the microwave before needing to use it as it was broken. There was only 1 pan in a fit condition to use - a wok! I've contacted the owners about this who tell me I should have contacted them. Do they not inspect the property? If you book be prepared to eat out. And be careful where you park - my car got badly scratched in the "garden" car park.

Very nice town house with all facilities

We stayed at Wilce House as we were visiting family in the area. The property was easy to find and had parking at the rear. It was a lovely size for families and there is even a little play house in the garden. The bedrooms were all a good size and the shower in the main bathroom was easy to work. We didn’t use the en suite so can’t comment on that. There were cooking facilities, oil, coffee, tea, milk, jam etc available as well as hand soaps and washing up liquid. The living room had a tv with Netflix - all very easy to work. The host was on hand to answer all queries by WhatsApp. Our deposit was returned in full on the same day as check out.

The property has a few scuffs and is showing its age a bit but was clean and tidy and very good value for money. The towels could have been softer!

Spacious. Plenty of crockery and cutlery. Bath towels provided. Bedding and towels lovely and clean.

Light switches dirty, and kitchen cabinet handles filthy. Crockery needed washing before use. Shower on top floor has very little pressure(you would not be able to wash your hair), showerhead does not fit in its holder so have to hold it in your hand. Very awkward.
