parking expensive

It was in a good location, very handy for old town / castle with a pleasant walk into main promenade and sea front. Close to off the sea front bars, which I assume would be more vibrant during the more active months. The hotel was very clean, bedrooms were superb and staff I engaged with were very friendly. Breakfast was ample, well set out and tasty.

I would say dislike but it was likely quite because it was low season, late April. The hotel was hardly populated so it felt big and empty but it was April, with only a few in for breakfast, which is sometimes a bonus. Bar area was very quiet, they had a good singer but only 4 people including me, so no atmosphere but what I expected. The only issue being that there is limited or no street parking without expensive payment meters and as I recall you could only pay and park for a maximum of 12 or 16 hours. There is an underground car park with hotel but it was 15 euro for a night, I used it for the one night as I had equipment / belongings in my car but, ouch! I did not see any free or cheaper cars parks nearby but did not go looking. The town was not very vibrant and most bars were shut it shut early and there were roads works down one Main Street but, once again, this was about the 24th April and likely it had not got going yet. It was OK, not cheap for an over night stay for me but it was what I expected for the price.

Comfy bed, a good choice of brreakfast, smily and attentive employees, lovely music around the reception and a food hall, amaxing view of Peniscola Castle from hotel room.

Missed having a balcony and tthere was a bit anmoying clicking noise comimg out of the aircon every night ( although did not use the air con)

The location, cheap drinks

Poor value for money. Very expensive room that was basic and quite dirty. Noisy, busy hotel with little room at the pool side. Noisy entertainment all day long which admittedly was somewhat fascinating to watch (includes throwing a plastic ham along the pool and chasing all the children with a massive bull).

The location was perfect

Very noisy in the pool area in the early and late evening. Perhaps ending music and noise earlier would be better.

the staff

The room had a strong smell of cigarettes, even though the cleaning service tried to cover it, it was impossible. The building need some maintenance asap, the paint is falling apart all around the buildings. The pool was crowded and dirty. We just check out an hour after checking in, it was a completely scam, don't waste your time. Not a 4 stars hotel, maybe 1 or 2

Big and comfortable bed

. Very unorganised staff. Check in took us 45 minutes even if there were just 3 parties in front of us. It took them ages to register our kids and went to their manager back and forth. The overall hotel is sterile and to get our heavy luggage to the room we had to take 2 elevators. Even if the kids animation program was nice, they did not allow adults to accompany their children in the indoor playground. My 2 year old was scared to go there alone so I joined him. Some kind of manager even asked me to leave in front of all other guests which was very embarrassing. If this place claims to be any kind of family place, the should really overthink their concept and train their staff

There is more light from windows at night also afternoon while need little rest , but everything is nicee
